Pornographic or not, F95 is arguably one of the more (if not the most) densely populated, English-speaking visual novel platforms out there. Beyond Steam/Itch/Patreon, it's hard to post a 3D AVN anywhere. Reddit? Gamejolt, maybe? There's no real place to post/share or discuss. It's worth a shot, even if he gets rejected. Some eyes on the project are better than none, and not trying at all is always going to be worse than trying and failing.

And that's correct. Otherwise, we'd have games like The Witcher 3 being posted in here, even though it's not a NSFW game, by a long shot.

It's okay for your game to not have any exlicit sex scenes, but it still must be primarily lewd. A great example of a game like this, is a panty-catching game that's posted somewhere on this site. It doesn't have any explicit sex, but the whole game is about hunting down girls' panties and make a collection out of them, so it's still very much a lewd despite no sex.

I dont think telling him to put effort into this community will help him. I cant imagine what benefit he'll find trying to cater to the audience on this site for a non pornographic game. He can post to itch.io and bum around there with devs while he improves, at least until he finds a community that better fits his game and can do more for him.

He can try. Worst case, he would only waste time. Worse games with even less content have been uploaded here. I know this dev, and he's totally dedicated to this, it's his first VN and he has put a lot of effort on it. Maybe someone can enjoy it here? who knows.

Hi, I'm making a role-playing game with Renpy and renders with Daz Studio, but I haven't included sexual content for two reasons: because I want to include a lot of licensed music, and because I'm not interested in doing so.

The thing is... do you think if I put it on F95Zone, they will criticize me a lot for not including sex?

The game is set in a cyberpunk future where the player will work for a large insurance company that has privatized security. It features character creation, skills, dice rolls, lots of choices and different paths, etc. Right now I have 3 prologues done, over 400 renders, 28 songs, 90,000 words and 12,000 lines of code.

I play AVN games for the story and because it's brief, so yes, there are potential readers out there like me.
In my view, the Adult of AVN doesn't have to always be about sex. Can also be about any adult themes.

If it has Daz renders and shit it's still pretty much part of the same scene.
