Your missing the point, your actively blocking out people that would be interested in your stuff with how your operating. I personally was willing to pay (I have a list of people I throw some money at when I have some, but I'm a poor neet that donates, as I am apparently unhirable) but $20 is to much, thats like half a donation for me, and I con only do that twice a month. had it been $5 I'd been willing to bite the bullet. Especially since that is a monthly fee, not a one time and your in fee. Which makes that price even more ridiculous.

I have a different opinion on this, I have a full-time job in sales in the past and now I have my own business & company, Indeed $20 is an unreasonable price(it was like you buying fully developed AA games) but $5 is kinda way too cheap.

If I'm the 1 handling your sales or marketing then I'll put as below:
$1 Patron - Allow user to download the public version and chat in the threads
$5 Patron - Allow user to see the progression and have some cheats unlocked like the Gold & Skill Point
$10 Patron - Allow the user to request content & that will be voted on by the community & unlock the rest of the cheat
$15 Patron - Extreme Content, you need to add more benefits like skipping minigames & still getting the reward
$20 Patron - Special mention on the game
$50/100 Patron - Fulfilling the user request into the future update (this was like bait for the rich pleb or the hardcore supporter)
the price above is based on the majority of eroge game developers in the market

this sounds more hardly reasonable for under-development games.
and NEVER HIDE YOUR POST since it's your goddamn weapon to pull people's interest, there's almost nothing to lose too for people that pirate the public version this way since the $1 patron is more focused on people able to join into the community chat in the Patreon.

If you are aiming for the massive market then pull down the $5 patron benefit into $1 and so on, but keep the $20 and $50/100 the same since fulfilling request is harder than it sounds.

Your forgetting this isn't a one time sale thing mate. Part of the issue is to keep getting new content, you have to pay these prices EVERY month. If it wasn't subscription based then yea, the price wouldn't be that big a deal. Think about this, if I were to be subscribed for $5 a month for one year, then Jackie here makes $60 off me yearly. But at current price of $20 he gets $240 of me yearly. Your suggested price of $15 would still have me paying $180 a year.

And keep in mind this is for an indie porn game, these prices are ridiculous.

that's why I said it's hardly reasonable. Since he took it so slowly and step by step during the development. But the majority of eroge developers on Patreon like having the standard price like the 1 I posted before.

This is where the 'review blackmail' comes into the picture. The dev said that if everyone who reviewed the game changes their review to 5 Stars they will put back the removed hooks and let people go back to trying to patch the content back in.

The dev and his rep here are absolute clowns.
I was one of the people that went to the patreon to pay for the game so that I'd get access to the full features. Then I saw that the idiot was asking for 60 dollars! He also had the gall to call it "free".
Not only did he chase me away from ever considering putting any money into this game, but I'm never going to touch another project from this fool.

At this point, I'm staying in this thread just to warn others away from this game, and enjoy the dumpster fire.

Take it with a grain of salt since it's coming from the dev who has a vested interest here, but supposedly the public and supporter builds are two different code branches. Allegedly the dev stripped out not only the files, but the connectors in the code that would enable the extreme content after someone made a patch a few versions ago. Now if you try to reinsert the files and plug in the code you'll either get a joke message or a false success message with nothing changing.

At that price point, just go get Helldivers 2, and keep 20 dollars in your pocket while getting legitimately one of the best co-op shooters ever made.

These are those who stayed for over 4 months, Read carefully baby. I'm going to try to release this year all thanks to my supporters that game has come this far in 1 year of development. I'll keep working hard for them.
