I think the game is pretty unbalanced, working a shift takes 90% of stamina, and you need 3 days of sleep to get the girl recovered, and that without the mood component... It should be the other way around...a girl should be able to work 3, 4 or more days before needing a rest day. There should be a recreation room to improve the mood.

If a game is too hard, as this is, players get bored, a I did, and quit

I downloaded the file from mega link, using chrome browser. Scanned with AVG and says no virus found. Haven't extracted it yet, though.
Thanks the Mega link have no Virus.
It work fine^^

Gofile is Virus in the data XD.

Ok, that really wasn't worth it, it's such a bad idea. You start on easy and are in the third round game over because the level of difficulty doesn't even suit you. How can you implement a game so poorly?

Why is there a level of difficulty if it doesn't work? ?

Game balance is 6 extremely bad (n)

You can't hire girls because you make less money than rent. It ends up not recovering costs even if you provide satisfaction bonuses, because girls require multiple rest periods just to go one time.

This game's balance is that it has no balance.

You probably should play the tutorial before asserting that something doesn't exist in the game. There are dormitories, there are learning courses that are pretty much essential to get a good economic balance - and there is an EASY mode that allows you to play with less challenge. By the way, it's pretty normal to be in debt- it means you're investing in your girls and reputation.

Note that many people actually like the game's difficulty - and it's set to be challenging on normal mode. There's nothing wrong with turning the difficulty down if it annoys you.

But we get it, we're going to work on balancing it more. We're probably going to get the easy mode easier, and make things clearer.

I still think you'd get a LOOOOOT of mileage by just making the math visible or at least accessible to view somewhere. Clearly something just isn't clicking with tons of people and it's making them give up on your game. I get it's your game and you can do what you want with it design-wise, but this is an odd hill to die on and could be literally costing you money from people who might have donated to you.

This isn't the fun kind of figuring things out for yourself like in Cultist Simulator. This is the frustrating, not fun kind because you haven't given people the tools to figure out what's going wrong. I'm no stranger to games that just throw you in and let you figure it out for yourself. I can't tell you exactly why that philosophy isn't working here, but it isn't.

First off, I don't wanna sound overly defensive neither am I just ignoring you guys but I'm not a CM and I'm no head of the project either - so I answer when I can to give advices or answers.

Well, thing is we're not just set in our ways, we actually asked our supporters and they do enjoy the current gameplay and difficulty. Most don't even find it remotely hard- but well, that might be a sample effect, they're the most likely ones to enjoy it. But it's clearly not possible to suit everyone and it's more a matter of calibrating to the right audience - that we're still fiddling with.

We're not just dying on the hill, it's part of the design philosophy to not give everything, but we are actively thinking about things we might implement to smooth the gameplay more. Consider that the game is still early access, we're actively fixing stuff and adding gameplay features as it goes, and there's the issue of version latency around here.

Your complains are not falling on deaf ears, they do matter to us, we'll try to do better - but there's stuff we're stuck with, stuff we also wanna like about our own game, and stuff our current supporters like as well.

Alright, here goes!

I'm glad you mention how updates are building the project up brick by brick, we're a small team with limited means so it takes time to make a good game.

1 - The leave pay is part of the worldbuilding, it's actually something we're attached to as we strive for a generally wholesome experience and while I get it might be annoying to some, it's mostly a cultural value thing and past the initial surprise I don't think it's a game changer. It does make disposing of girls harder but it's also intended that they stick with you for a bit and you get some attachment value out of it.

2 - Automation is actually something we're working on right now, and we've started implementing it in the last supporter update.

3 - Alright, this is actually my bit, so I'm trynna not be too whiny: there's 8 frames for all animations, and it's pixel art with layered elements. Might not seem like it but it certainly makes things harder to produce and not really tweenable. Nothing impossible to overcome, just same thing: we need time to add stuff like variations, climax, and just more animations. Especially compared to MBM, where the artstyle is a lot more replicable and the animation is tweened - plus I don't know how many people worked on the art - but that might be on us, y'know. Shoulda picked the right art direction ^^'

4 - Oof, alright. Guess we'll need to take time to smooth things out on that side.

5 - Sex sounds, animation progression, creampie, pregnancy, bdsm - all things that we might very much add (and could be planning already, who knows???) but again, time, work, early build and the like. That we also have to make fit with the current game's status (how would we time climax, for example, can we hire voice actresses, does it all fit within the game's setting...). So stay tuned for that, we play porn games too, we know what's the good shit, we just have to work on it.

6 - Thank you for your review and for liking what you like in our game <3 Our main focus was always to create a brothel management game. Now we polish it to greatness!

I've played plenty of trainers/managers. I'd say they manage to do it a lot better and show a lot more in the way of useful numbers. Difficulty for the sake of difficulty is not a useful niche to aim for, as I don't see a whole lot in the way of events/shakeups to status quo that other management games use to force player reactions and planning changes. I imagine the objective is to force the player to use bank loans just to keep in business starting out. Having played a lot of this kind of game before, that's not really a good idea/niche to go into.

As a poster after mine said, you have something like MBM, which has better numbers and content. Again, even that one fails for not utilizing its system correctly to make the gameplay rewarding to what you gain. Aside from some unique generics (a contradictory term, but it makes sense in context to the game), it has issues similar to yours.

This game isn't difficult. I played on normal and reading tutorial made sure i stayed out of debt. Don't waste money on buildings you don't need. Pay for training for your girls so they earn you more tips and can serve more customers per day. Don't hire more unless you're making nice profit.

There was a brothel sim game similar to this a while back without the graphics but similar as you progressed through the doors higher ranks of customer appeared. I remember the customers had specific names and the name determined their stats and I think what race of girl they preferred. Can anyone recall the name for me?

I think the only difficulty on lower modes is getting 3 stars in story mode. The amount of stars you get seemed to be based on how long it takes you. E.g. I did it in 7 days and got 3*, but if I waited until the next day to rank up it was only 2* . So if difficulty is wanted, play on hard and story mode and go for 3* in every mission.

I actually like this game, good job. I think there were just a few things I wished were done better, mostly to do managing stamina/happiness, I just wanted to be able to see their current values easier. I do think that R/S for auto relax/sleep put the monstergirls in the top right instead of bottom left, that might be just how I organise the customers personally. And as others said a button to just send all girls to vacation would be good. Also one-click remove from advertising/vacation would also be nice. There should also be a tutorial that you can only have 10 girls on vacation at once (or learning possibly, i stopped playing around there as busy), unless that's unintended.

Thanks for the thoughtful reply. Good luck with the game.
For the art, Have you tried using stable-diffusion to make the in-between frames?

I think the game is pretty unbalanced, working a shift takes 90% of stamina, and you need 3 days of sleep to get the girl recovered, and that without the mood component... It should be the other way around...a girl should be able to work 3, 4 or more days before needing a rest day. There should be a recreation room to improve the mood.

Agreed, I'm probably going to make a mod that allows you to change how much stamina and happiness is lost per shift, should be super simple.
I don't think the game is hard though, I just think it's a bit unbalanced.

Been holding off of playing this until now.
Here's some early, unfiltered, likely uninformed impressions:

I get the idea of Happiness, but functionally it seems to so far boil down to a second, harder to fill, more dangerous, secondary healthbar. Being a big double negative when it seemingly randomly empties.
I'm not sure of what action does what damage, but after having my most sought after girl leave i can only say what i feel happened.
If the "damage" done by an action is set, show it.
Show me, the player, what that next action is going to do. Empty the bar? leave them on 1?2?3?4?5?6?

Part of this actually plays into my next thought, give me more feedback.
OR better yet, more information.
If i pick up a girl to place them somewhere, show the potential satisfaction of a customer as a visual (thumbs) before i place them down.
I shouldn't need to fiddle girls around to find which ones got the better thumb rating.

I ask, if your going to make "relax" such a useless function, why even have it present? just remove it.
It shouldn't take an entire day of relaxing to fill a bar for Christs sake.
Going from 35 happiness top 42 is an utter waste of time.
I think relaxing for 3 turns and doing 1 job might actually still leave to a net negative. hmm...

Reputation is bullshit.
-5 for a missed customer??
Only +1-4 for a satisfied one??
Oh I'm sorry, did i forget to somehow have enough money, energy, happiness and ROOMS to satify all the customers. WHOOPS.

I dont think 4 girls even have enough Life to satisfy 8 customers in a day... let alone happiness.

So looking into it more, sex costs 25 stamina? no wait that one cost 30... is it... random??

Relaxing gives...
+8(?) stamina...
+9(?) Happiness...
Hmm, so its not always the same. Hmm, i guess percentages so around 12%? Hmm that complicates things further.
Urgh...

Most customers being worth less than a potion is an shin kick.
-5 rep, -~60 gold OR potentially loose a girl AND loose gold? Oh the joy of choosing.
Oh great i lost 2 girls, after wasting 200 gold on potions, the worst actual possible outcome of the task given. YAY...

I guess I can at least tell you how stat drain/recovery is calculated, since I've been looking into the code for modding.

The formulas are:

For sex:
  • Stamina drain: 35 - [Endurance] / 2
  • Happiness drain: 25 - [Resilience] / 3
For sleeping:
  • Stamina recovery: [Max Stamina] * 0.4 * [Bedroom sleep multiplier]
For relaxing:
  • Stamina recovery: [Max Stamina] * 0.15 * [Bedroom relax multiplier]
  • Happiness recovery: [Max Happiness] * 0.15 * [Bedroom relax multiplier]
For vacation:
  • Happiness recovery: [Max Happiness] * 0.5

If you want to know anything else, feel free to ask!

The way I see it, potions exist to cover you up when you make a mistake with management. You aren't supposed to use them regularly. Instead, you have 3 kinds of rest for your employees, which you can upgrade with special rooms.
As long as a customer can cover an employee's salary, you should be fine.
