It sounds like you probably got your Succubus level too high Make sure you get The Lust Crest removed from one of the dungeons before The Shrine.

Sadly after checking again and again on the official site , steam and the old japanese page of the developer...... it look like they were unable to fix the localization bug of the game ? they actually put a solution on steam via the beta test of a version of the game who more or less (making it worst for some players) make it work .......
Better wait till they fix it or in worst case you can play it in japanese locale like the old japanese version it work 100% sure ..... if it don't work for you with that it mean it's your computer who got a problem somewhere else realy ...
