Already did that, it skip about 2 lines of dialogue before it reverts to not skiping aything

Well, that's good. You don't need to install the font provided with the English patch then. That was part of the English patch and it worked for me, cos the letters were too big and were going outside of the box when I tried other fonts.
The problem is not in the VN for sure. I skipped through the whole VN from start to finish when I tested it. Try just clicking the skip button without holding shift. Sys Menu -> Skip(the 6th button)
Also, if it only skips 1-2 lines then you probably didn't enable skip all/unread text.
