I can see this. I'm not attempting to rub the player's nose in it as much as it's just the premise/setup for the story. Pretty much every character aware of the magic macguffin saw it as something they could use but in the end (of Act 1) it turns out that everyone is getting fucked by it because it was more of a Pandora's box scenario.


MC will beat the 'game', and just as he goes to claim the prize the screen will cut to Rick Astley.


This is a pretty good way to frame it. Part of the conversations with Qai, and some of the narration/vibes during Hanna and Candi's sim scenes, were kind of touching on the subject.

For the record, Qai is making very cynical arguments but being cynical doesn't make you correct.

I don't really want to make this conversation about other AVNs but I'm going to name drop a few (that I think are very well made and don't really have anything negative to say about) just give some reference points. And obviously there are exceptions.

Most of the bigger, more popular, AVNs don't really have anything resembling winning vs. losing. Something like Strangers on Paper gives you choices and there are consequences but (unless the game takes a turn that I'm not aware of) the MC isn't really going to lose, or win. Games like Race of Life or Being a DIK have some minigame type things and you can win/lose those but I don't think either game is steering towards a potential 'bad end' or gameover situation.

Which was sort of what some of the conversation about Candi's sim was addressing.

And for what it's worth, I don't plan on having any 'bad end' situations either. The decision points for the final outcome will (hopefully) be clear enough that you'll get the end result you want (or at least the closest option available).

Actually it would be very funny if the player get rickrolled in one of the ending. Where the Villain (you) is laughing at the players from Matrix Control Room

Heyo, just wanted to say I enjoy the game. Most of the content out now [0.4.1] feels like a wild and fun roller coaster where as you approach chapter two you almost start to feel that maybe it is going a little too fast, and perhaps heading to some kind of crash. Lots of great scenes, scenarios, and characters. Love it!

I've talked a lot about why I forced the decision between sims, it's mostly a pacing/tone-setting thing. There's a mod if you want to see them all and it won't hurt my feelings if you use it. I started off Act 2 with Hanna because I wanted to give a smaller character some screen time and I want to space out the trans/futa content since I know some players aren't interested in that. Candi got her scene this update because that's who my subscribers voted on.



So, I know that in a previous post I pointed out some of the real vs 'real' vs fake portions but at this time you really aren't supposed to be sure what, if anything, was real. The MC is disoriented and confused, the sequence was disorienting and confusing.

I'm not in a rush to adjust anything there. I don't mean to sound dismissive of anyone's criticism about it but I think once some of the stuff I have planned gets into the game and you all have more context/perspective it will stop being an issue. Some of you might remember the initial release when some people were complaining that this was going to be an NTR game about Ness mind-controlling the MC's loved ones.

And yeah, I don't want to turn people off the game but I'm also trying to get you guys new content as fast as I can. The story isn't entirely straightforward and it won't always provide immediate answers. To be honest it's getting a little tedious to go through this every update. I would've thought that anyone who made it all the way to Act 2 would've already decided the game isn't for them or be open to the idea that they might have to wait for answers to some things.

I want to make releases public reasonably soon after I release them behind a paywall. I want to engage with you guys and I am very open to good faith criticism. Most of you are capable of that but some of you should probably just move on. The detached disdain and snarky condescension (or worse, comparisons to House MD*) is a waste of everyone's time. I'm not going to hit back because I don't want to start a flame war in this thread, I don't want anyone to think they aren't allowed to criticize the game, I've got thick skin, I don't mind some jabs at my expense and I don't stake my self-worth on the approval of internet strangers, so while that means I can take the abuse that also means I can just move on and ignore this thread.

It's a toaster with delusions of grandeur.

(I did appreciate in that scene that we had the opportunity to pick viewing it as not just villainous or beneficent, but also as just a thing. The choice menus leading to that option could maybe have been slightly clearer, but nice to have it at all.)

Can I ask what you expected other than femdom vibes by:

1) Making Ness a switch with a strong dome tendency, while putting MC under her claw by starting their (professional) relationship with blackmail;
2) Giving to MC's girlfriend such deep cuckqueen personality that she'll want to force her man to have sex with other girls, starting by the ones in his own family, and decide to strongly and actively involve herself for this to become true;
3) Giving to Izzy her own agenda, that she'll follow behind MC's by using his own creation and himself.

Not that I complain, personally I don't care. But there's just no way for such characters to exist, with two having a foreground presence, while the last one is behind most of what happen in the simulation, without the MC looking like nothing more than a tool in their hands.

Like by example Zoe that forcefully want to suck MC's dick, or the mother who looks like she'll soon decide to wake up MC by riding his morning wood. Hell, even Rose, supposed to be a sub escort, express a clear dome side when MC is fucking Ness.
