There's one thing I'm unsure about in this update, and who would be kind enough to answer me? In this update, that AI says they've returned to reality, leaving the games inside VR, and that it's changed some things in his life. But did he really leave, or is he still in a simulation? Because if he left, then he's not an AI, but an entity with the power to alter reality, since no AI has the power to change or change anything in real life. That's why I'm confused, is he leaving the simulation or is he still in it?

I think by changing some things in his life she meant she guided his real body towards choices that would lead to the current situation.

Or another theory is that she accessed other people interfaces either through the implants or simulations and made alterations like that.

Personally, my guess is that everyone is in the game/getting tweaked to some extent, or will be towards the end. Since his deep dive into the crazyness started when he got the new implant installed and well, everyone is going to get those.

Congrats MC, you accidentally an AI god focused on stories. If the setting some how ran long enough into the future it wouldn't surprise me to see something like a sword and sorcery world where everything runs on narrative tropes just because everyone is chipped and connected to the AI god running things in the background.

Yes. Originally, Cal (one of your co-workers) was going to have the feminization plot. That would've only worked if I did their sim scene, but I scrapped all the 'side' character sim scenes.

I still wanted to include some of the content I had planned though, which is why I introduced Kieran and Moni.

Once I really start getting into it I'll make the judgement call on whether it needs to be bigger than most of my releases so that I can fit every option in or maybe break it into two releases. I'm leaning to the former right now. There's sort of a big plot point that needs to be revealed (I've mentioned it before in some of my earlier spoiler conversations), and I've learned my lesson about putting out releases that don't end on a satisfying story note. The version numbers are basically just me tracking releases. When I first put something out for testing it'll be 0.4b, then when I 'officially' release it I drop the b. The only reason this one was 0.5.5 was because I didn't feel like reworking/replacing stuff justified me calling it 0.6. I just got some feedback from some proofreaders, and found/fixed a couple bugs, so this weekend I'll put out a hotfix/updated links and I'll probably call it 0.5.5.1 or something silly like that.

As far as how far into the game we are, that's a little tricky to answer. I'm probably overestimating half of what's left and underestimating the other half, but I'd say we around a third of the way to the end. There's going to be some minor branching soon, then more and more toward the end, so I'm spit balling a little.

Cool story and the setup is unique but I feel the amount of scene jumping is a bit too much, gets rather disjointed and confusing.
