Once he made the choice to give shorts 5-6 weeks, think it was safe to assume the big project was not going to get done. It’s a gamble either way. Either the MW3 takes even longer to come out, testing the patience of those who’ve already waited for so long, or the shorts are put on hold, in which case I don’t see why golds are even holding their status at the moment since their biggest perk is moot.
