Frankly not a smart idea considering he hadn't even really scripted it yet. Then he decided to do things like hiring a composer to make original music for the series. Then there was that bit in 2022 where his PC went and died and the next month was finagling with a data recovery business to salvage his work (imagine if he'd lost it all, we'd be even further away).
Really all smut makers shoulda taken a lesson from Studio FOW. They announce dates for their films only once, often with its trailer. And then they come out on that date. Period.
