Gives more realistic texture that enhances the features. Compare to just the very cartoony type 3D models say Overwatch or Fortnite. They looks very barbie doll plastic, with just one bland looking skin. Some creators add pores to make it more detailed which works great in making the characters look detailed. Veiny bodies, esp on the tits is similar in that sense.
