Ren'Py - Jedi Trainer [v0.9.2] [Millennium Malcolm]

Deleting all posts, ratings, etc. with this account before deleting the account itself. Whatever the star rating on this message was is unchanged, and is probably still true. Really weird that there's no way to deleting reviews as a user, so I guess I'll just make more work for the mods.

With reguards to version 0.7.1:

The writing is actually pretty good, I was surprise to find that much info and care dedicated to the story telling, the characters and the lore given.
The clothing system is impressive, with a lot of different choices.
The art isn't great whoever, and the animations are honestly pretty bad, not to mention a game breaking bug i ran into, occuring when i tried to get more than a bj from ventress, putting me on the hyperspace screen with music playing.
Other than that, this game has a LOT of potential, especially since the writing displays true respect for the source material, it just needs some polishing and bug fixing.

A very promising start to a game. It needs some work though, as right now it's quite buggy. The plot is funny, and though the art could use a few touch-ups, it's certainly serviceable. We will watch your career with great interest.

Review for 0.7

This game has potential, the idea is fun and gamewise the execution is competent. But it's not actually that good right now.

bad:

• There are currently a significant amount of bugs, which hopefully will get fixed in future versions.
• The mission system doesn't work properly and i ended up getting stuck at some points.
• It's pretty grindy, part of which you can kinda avoid by saving and loading the gambling game, but tbh i would rather just not have to do that. and other parts are still grindy.
• The main problems is that it just doesn't have good porn. The art is mediocre at bad, bad at its worst. There is very little of it. The clothes system is nice, but doesn't actually affect anything or get a reaction. This is what really needs to change before this game can get enjoyable.

Good

• Notably the writing and sound design are pretty good.
• There are also a number of great characters to interact with.

Overall it's a poor porn game and a mediocre game. but it does have potential, so hopefully it will improve. 2/5 for the game, 5/5 for the theme.

Important: I have given a rating of 4/5 stars due to the sheer amount of bugs in the first (v0.7) release, some even game-breaking that prevented me from continuing. Should these be fixed I will give it five stars.

PROS
Decent Plot (Nothing fancy, nothing complicated)
Quite a few Star Wars beauties to conquer (Hopefully more in the future)
Decent implementation of quests
Plenty of Exploration
The references (i.e. the Tardis, Captain Kirk and Spock, and RoboCop all hanging out in the bar)

CONS
The artwork (Not terrible, but not great either)
The bugs (Too many to count, some quests were broken)
The grinding (Not as terrible as other games, but could use some tweaking)
The copyrighted music (Only listed as a con because this could cause problems for the dev in the future)
