Why not include the bad end what ifs as bonus scenes instead? At least, if there is a lot of demand for them.
I'd probably do both, depending on the context of the scene. If people don't want bad ends in the main game they might still show up as bonus scenes once in a while.
Yeah, that was more my assumption for bad ends. Like the scene would split but not definitively end the storyline. Like using the preg example since that is what started the conversation, it would be something like
-scene happens
-did duvessa get pregnant? (player gets to make choice)
-if yes: bad end/what if scenario
-if no: path continues as normally planned.

That's how I believed it would be implemented as well. The problem is writing the scene and comissioning art and animation which takes a lot of time and money. There's so many different kinks that people have and would want to be included if bad ends were to be available. It would really derail the development of the main story.
I'd make sure that it wouldn't. Would just be a thing I did once in a while.
To be clear, I have faith that you would do a capable job at implementing them , and do so concurrently with the story without it hampering your work schedule. To me, Jezebel is a mature visual novel in which the sexual themes are there to supplement the story and not the other way around. It's a character driven political thriller, not a hardcore porn game. It just doesn't fit the genre; There's plenty of other games you could download on this site that are a better fit for this type of material. I believe that the time and money making these irrelevant sex scenes would be better spent expanding on the world you are trying to build. Additionally, while one bad ending might be appealing, in its wake would be three others you don't care about. Only a select minority of people would enjoy these sections of the game at a time. I'm just trying to explain my perspective more clearly and convince the patrons not to vote for the bad endings to be in the main game.
That doesn't mean that there wouldn't be bad ends. Instead, they can be used in one of the set amount of bonus scenes if there’s a lot of interest for a certain scenario. That way, people can enjoy the content without it taking extra resources to create. It could even promote people into buying the Patreon subscription, which would benefit the growth of the main game and allow for the funding for even more bad end scenes to be created. And for those without the patreon, maybe when the full game releases there could be an expansion or ultimate edition that includes all of these bonus scenes?

Apologies for missing last week; I wanted to wait to reset and start putting these out on Sunday again. Today's preview is a sketch of the arena for the Jeux de Dague tournament; it'll be revised to be larger in scale for the final game, but I do think the added touch of Valiancourt in the background there is looking good already.
Production is now underway for the next release; I've comissioned the new character sprites, as well as an additional thing that I'll hopefully be showing off here soon. Work may not begin on any of the CG's until mid-month, as I'm still finalizing the broad scope and plan/getting all my notes together, and I want my path forward to be totally clear before I spend any money on that.
In other news, back before Ep. 2 Part One was released, and combined Patreon/SubscribeStar revenue was less than half of what it is now, I made an ambitious goal for myself that it would pass 500 dollars US before the end of the year, which it just recently did! I think the game has been pretty successful for one that's just had one update thusfar, and I am increasingly feeling like I'm transitioning away from the phase of "uncertainty" where its unknown whether or not the game will be successful/viable. I'm not quite there yet, but once I am I can promise that nothing will stop me from continuing to make the game until its finished.

Hello Hello!
As I'm sure you can recognize, the picture is a super early sketch of the very first scene in the game. Today should hopefully mark the last time in the development cycle that I have nothing to show you insofar as preview images. In other words, I plan to be well underway with writing Episode 2 Pt. 2 this time next week, and I'll have a screengrab from it ready to go!
Unfortunately, I haven't been able to get a whole lot done in the past week, mostly for reasons I'm not even sure of. Work has been hectic as usual, but it's more like I blinked and another week had gone by. The good news is that I'm about to get a lot of time off for the holidays, and I'll be dedicating a ton of that to getting as much writing done as I can! I hope to begin getting the CGs made by next week as well.
The next bonus scene will be out by Christmas...hopefully a little earlier than that, even. Releasing it on the 25th would feel weird. I've also got some cool new promotional art to show you that should be ready pretty soon.

Btw: I had to fiddle around with the sound settings of my linux vm a bit. That made discover, that you actually have a build in music player! That is pretty damn cool! I always loved the Duvessa theme but never really listened to the end. Best regards to Mikey for this and a lot more other very cool tracks!
Yeah I'm very glad I opted for the music player + scene replays and gallery right off the bat. I think it made the game look a lot more professional right out the gate.
Unfortunately Mikey went AWOL so I had to get a new composer from Ep 2 onward

Hello everybody! Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and all of that!
Writing on episode 2 part 2 has begun. I've spent the past week finalizing all of my plans and mapping everything out, and while I've not yet filled in all the blanks, I now have a decent idea of where I'm going. As such, I'm going to start commissioning CG art in the coming week. Of course, it's the holiday season, and I'm also dealing with some annoying dental pains that will need surgical intevention, but I'm still trying to power through and write as much as I can! It's still super early days, but I'm hopeful about a release in March or April. This time around, I hope to finish writing long before production is over; that way, I can start writing the next episode, and I'll have a way better idea of all the art I need in advance. For Ep. 2 Pt. 1, there ended up being stuff that I didn't even realize I needed made until the last possible second, which is something I'll hopefully avoid in future.
I continue to boundlessly appreciate everyone who is supporting my work; I hope to be able to reward you with more quality content soon. That includes the next bonus episode, which hopefully will be out in a few days (still waiting to hear back from the artist at present). Thanks again, and have a great week!
