If I had a dollar for every KK novel that's just about existential dread and depression and child predation, I'd be a very rich man.

I can think of only one other of these types that actively used dreams, so I'm curious how you do versus that one.

-There were a lot of times when I had to click multiple times for the scene to change. If this isn't just me and machine then I suggest a code review.
This continues in the current update as well. It is annoying, serves no purpose and needs to stop. Also, ending an update with an infinitely repeating ellipsis upon clicking is very poor UX. It is even worse given all of the times you have to click many many times to progress a scene rather than the single time it should take.

Both those things are, unfortunately, staples of the inspiration (or rip-off, dealer's choice) that the dev was utilizing.

That said, I also hate when that dev does it. Just give us a "save here" instead of an unending ellipsis.

Yeah, it's another one of these but let's be honest, I'm not about to entirely dismiss something basd on its inspiration. So far it's fine. If I can give you some advice, drop the multiple clicks on nothing and make it clear that the current content has ended. I was clicking through those elipses for a while... Also I know it's not supposed to be a sandbox, but you are starting to introduce a lot of characters. Maybe some way of keeping track of them, like a journal in the menu or something might be nice

Okay, I'll reduce the empty text boxes and streamline the scene transitions so they require fewer clicks.

I'll also make sure the end of the update is clearer instead of just ending in an infinite loop.

Initially, I hesitated to add a character menu because I didn't want the game to feel too much like a LiL clone. But you're right with this many characters, a tracking system is necessary.

Thank you for the feedback!

Don't worry about feeling like you're copying LIL too much. UI wise, it's one of the things I can never complain about.

It's always been the slow burn ass story and the pretentiousness I had problems with. I haven't had time to try the game out yet, but I doubt you've copied those parts of it.

The comparassions are inevitable, but so far I think you're doing great at being your own thing. I'm enjoying what we have so far and really looking forward to see where this is all going. The one other LiL-like that showed some promisse ended up with the author going to jail, so...
Like the guy above me said, LiL gets REALLY fucking pretentious and up it's own ass at times, so as long as you can avoid that in your writing while striking to tell your own story (which you are already), you should be fine. (Also Isumi best girl, fight me)

"Don't worry about copying LiL," I said. "I'm sure there's nothing as blatant as a reference."

The synopsis is interesting, but I don't know if she will really be the female protagonist.
