It's not random. The hand punishments such as laziness are 10 smacks. But when damage is done, such as the ink on paper is 20 smacks.

damage is done... depend... on how we consider damage done. If you are supposed to clean into a house and don't do it for 1 week if it's your own house it's ok nobody give a damn... it's lazyness so 10 hits... but that girl who did badly her cleaning to someone else (I got it as if the girl was cleaning somebody else house and was paid for it!) and didn't do it or badly... she should get 20 hits since damage was done for my part... if I pay for someone to clean and it's not done the damage is I paid for nothing at all...

The girl who put ink on her papers... nobody said it was important papers for someone else, I thought it was just meaning she was distracted and put ink on her own letters, and when I said 10 hits it was supposed being wrong because I should have guessed it was important papers from others like in administration work... it's not random but not really clear. Too short descriptions for giving a judgment.

I could use some help because I sorta like the premise but I can't figure out what to do to progress at a remotely reasonable pace.

Am I supposed to get a lockpick somewhere? I have 2 quests about stealing panties (and I did read the book on it) but everyone locks their door. I bought every item I could find, besides balm none seem to be useable? I can't even read the books?

Also, is there a way to mod the game to cut down on the repetition? I can't get anywhere if every working day I have to spend 10+ minutes rewatching the same unskippable content. I have all discipline unlocks but even if I don't flirt with anyone at all for weeks (skipping virtually all romance quests just because I don't want to deal with even more of these repeated scenes) the staff fails pretty much every day across the board, averages 3-4 failures for everyone by Friday, and I've seen all these scenes 20+ times already.

Lastly, what actions count as 'bratty'? Olivia won't interact with me because I have 'nothing to confess'.

3 -to not watch scenes just hire Olivia. You can just leave the punishment room to let her handle everything herself and not spend any time to watch it. Or even get vacation to explore the world outside.
4 - watch Olivia carefully, her mistakes drop discipline of all employees (except Vivian). Probably this is the reason.
5 - stealing panties is bratty.

I completed that. It was like the one instruction I actually got. I'm at Sheri's Trickery.

Thanks. I hired the investigator ages ago but I never bothered to speak to her after her intro because I can't flirt without nuking discipline further. Her passive is annoying enough as-is.

I have Olivia, and I haven't personally administered punishment since. The repetition I was talking about are the employees. I have to punish 3-4 every day.

Are there triggers besides her empty bucket? I know how to check on her failing to cut the birches, which she does most days with zero flirting with any character and the Friday group punishment upgrade active for weeks. I check every character every morning and know one failstate for all of them (oversleeping for the guard, having a sex partner over for the secretary, having the room be messy for the investigator, empty bucket for the punisher, sending a wrong letter for the archivist, and the poison cloud bucket for the quartermaster). I don't have the Prison Guard yet (though I'm very close). I haven't used flirt in at least seven in-game weeks.

5 - stealing panties is bratty.

I have returned to Olivia with stolen panties in my inventory (Lesly's, the only person I found who didn't lock her door). I still had 'nothing to confess'. I will try to talk to the investigator to find others, but I REALLY don't want to do flirting since I don't want to spend more time on employee fails.

If you take one of the prisoners OTK instead of chained to the sawhorse there is a chance the prisoner will try to run when it's done.

That's a fair point, but I don't believe it is up to us to determine what is or is not damage. All we have to do is look at the offense AND the defense and make our determination on the sentence.

There is one that threw me until I discovered the answer is given in the defense. The one about forgetting to put something in the cooler. It would SEEM to be a simple 10 smack sentence, but the defense reveals that the stuff is spoiled which is damage and 20 smacks.

heh it's ok, after some time yeah I remembered a few of the offenses.
The only real frustrating thing now is I thought we were able to do again that riddle quest in the outdoor village with, as I did not won the contest missing the eell and the story about a monster..., after punishment the girl said to come back to maybe try again and have a revenge on them (that will never happen). Also the labyrinth near the vampire mansion will never be implemented I guess.

Anyway, I really liked this game. I wish it was longer with more quests but it's still great. Thank you!

Nevermind about the contest game, my mistake, I was able to get the option to restart it a satuday =)

Scratch that: If you get right next to the button in the hallway you can push the button without alerting the shadow minion.

Ok THE thing I didn't know was, it's a kind of sequel to "Story of Sheri", "Out from the Abyss" and "Out from the Abyss 2". (

Weird that this game is not much popular at all, but I really think it really should/must be mentioned in the game description, that it's the fourth game with some character from Out from the Abyss, "Story of Sheri" being the first game. ("I'm dope" game, being totaly different and very short, still fun but very short).

I played Out from the Abyss, did everything almost except the treasure chest under the mermaid under the lake... got the Kira fight and ending. Really fun game!

OFTA2 was really too short... still fun to try.

Grats and thank you Shirabaru. (you say the games were not polished and not so pretty, but don't be modest, it was real fun and fun quests, imo)

I'mDope was a side progect for game jam (I won, by the way) that is why it's not connected.

OftA 2 was short because I messed up the code. It became to hard to manage so I have option either drop it completely or wrap it up. It's a bad game, but arts are really good, so it's ok at the end.

Next game is going to take place in the same world and continue the story in some way. You will meet familiar NPC, but main character will be different. Actually - I'll give player an ability to customize MC however they want.
