Is it normal that you lose your levels and captives upon restarting the game?

Biggest downside is you get endlessly attacked. I get it it's the point, but you can't even dom because you're getting attacked so much.

You gain levels by making someone pass out. I think you also get EXP for applying restrains.

And how do you make someone else pass out when you are interrupted by constant attacks ?

I mean, as soon as I grab someone, someone ELSE grabs me and it is game over.
