I hope he accepts the offer from you but it's really perplexing why he hasn't hired a developer yet. It's been 2 years since he reached his goal in Patreon. Not sure if it's a prerequisite to learn the Ruby programming language for making games with RPGMaker, Ruby is not popular anymore these days
I'm using RPGMaker MZ so I don't know if it will be a huge difference between our versions.
I'm not sure too. I just know that RPGMaker VX Ace is built on Ruby. I thought it's a prerequisite to make games with it. I hope VX Ace is compatible with RPGMaker MZ
I worked with him for a while on the coding side, my recommendation is that you send him some ideas or events that you can do so that he will take you into consideration.
He did an update last week saying that he has been dealing with IRL stuff that has been preventing him from doing a lot of work
Nah i believe there's some real irl problems with him, his patrons count decrease greatly compared to last few weeks and no milking dev let that happen, typical milking devs will keep their patreon page busy by nonsense posts to attract/keep patrons without actually creating new contents. Just hoping he wont abandon the game, which is very common to indie devs (especially when they work alone)
Yeah hopefully the decline in patrons doesn't make him abandon the game. Ideally he will see that there are people still supporting him and the game which will keep him developing.
He used to be active here, he often replies to messages and posts. Probably it became a little toxic for him here then he ran into some personal issues that made him stay away here
He does post on Patreon, but yeah it's mostly to show stuff he has "finished." The latest update related to the game was the Yajirobe quest but its only half finished. I honestly am patient with him and his updates since he of course does have irl stuff that he said was causing him to not work on the game as often. I do hope that the decline in patreons doesn't discourage him from continuing the game again when he has everything sorted out because his game and his art is still pretty good despite the obvious bugs and lag
I only subbed to him maybe 6 months ago so I only saw his patreon posts, most of the time he would post every 2-3weeks and only reply to people's comments at those times, so I assumed that's how active he always has been.
I believe he'll do continue. The way i see it he's making this game reflect his passion of being a DBZ fans by looking at the way he made the details, characters,etc. also he got the talent for tailoring the story pretty well apart from couple half baked arts, not everybody can made a good storyline for porn parody from well known artist products. Even i get excited and aroused with this game better than the one made by y*****to despite he created better arts and animation.
That great to hear, but wait, are those first four bolded lines contents already released or he just finished them and will release it later?
I think they are supposed to be the latest things he has added to the 1.8 list
