The absolute audacity to reveal ANOTHER delay and at the same act all happy-go-lucky like everything is going according to plan. Does this guy think his supporters pay him because they like his personality or something? Ironic how people keep coming to the thread and praise Rem for being one of the only ones to finish a pron game... And yet now he can't even finish a damn DLC?
That whole discord post reads like this:
"Yup! I'm extremely happy because of you guys! (Despite apparently having suffered from a week-long depression? I wish my depression had a time-limit) Oh wait I'm supposed to be developing a DLC aren't I? (He was also apparently planning on going to some kind of convention?) Oh well, sucks to be you guys cause it ain't coming yet! See yalosers lovely supporters till the next update where I will reveal I have cancer and permanently ice the DLC! (Gotta complete the holy trinity of Covid, Depression and cancer am I right?)"

I'm slow, so I was wondering. Are you upset or is this a parody of the people who are upset about the tentatively indefinite delay?
I'm just looking forward to it while occupying myself with something else.

It's not a parody, but I'm not upset about the delay either. What I got ticked off about is Rem just pops in and drops, almost like an afterthought that the DLC will be delayed. To top it off it will only release as a beta first, meaning the full thing will release EVEN later. I mean, imagine if CD Projekt Red, when they delayed Cyberpunk 2077 for the last time, just all happily wrote about how good their day went, and then go "Oh and by the way, game won't be releasing". Wouldn't that piss you off? Like read the room dood...(Not you)
When devs talk about specific or somewhat specific release dates like "end of the month", it's kind of like a promise and so it creates expectations. When that expectation gets shattered, you need a good reason to make up for peoples expectations. "I had a temporary bout of week-long-depressionitus" is not one of them. And I also just realized I didn't explain properly why I'm ticked off. To put it simply, dude is delivering bad news while also talking about how great his day is going. It just feels disgusting.

I completely understand how you feel, to be honest. I get somewhat disappointed every time i get on discord to see that the announcement isn't relating to the dlc but rather how Rem managed to catch some form of new virus or whatever. Like shit he's gonna get mpox at this point, mf cannot focus on the dlc for anything.
I get it, making a game is hard but we're like months over the promised date of when the dlc is coming out. Even the artist has tried to stall for time but Rem still cannot deliver on his promise. It frustrates me to know he gets an income from his substar by drip feeding his supporter with his life and shit

Yeah, well... My main gripe isn't even the delay. It's the fact that he didn't seem apologetic at all. Imagine your boss comes into the office and starts boasting about his pay rise but then proceeds to fire you, that's essentially what Rem did. Even AAA soulless corporations understand you gotta at least PRETEND to be sorry, even if people can see right through you. Going mask off like this, it makes me wonder if this is who Rem really was all this time, like all the rest. Or he just lost the plot from the fame...
I would never understand how can people be here every day to bitch about a developed passing through an evident rough patch who happened to deliver what would be the best porn RPGM playstyle with the best experience.
He's obviously suffering and doing what he can, if you people are here is because you value the game, play other stuffs, compare and come here to wish him a fast recovery.
This is a work of art, it could be better, but with a small group this is as polished as it could be, and they are still working in more content, and what you read here in people bitching because he can no longer spent all day in front of his PC working in a single porn game.
Give the man the time he needs.

Wish I could call in and say "Hey boss, totally embarrassing but I got a depression week going on so I'm not gonna be able to come in. But I know you're okay with it, because I have the best motherfucking manager ever. Okay cool, see you when I get in next week, maybe 2 weeks. You know how depression is right? Oh yeah obviously you're still paying me regardless if I have the PTO or not because I'm entitled to the company's money since you're the one who wanted to hire me. Anyways bye now."
But enough about Rem and other dishonest grifters on Patreon/Subscribestar who love to never deliver on time and continue to foster deserved animosity and distrust.
