The devs played around with it in the design, but never bothered to implement it.

OK guys, so Im a pretty avid gamer and Im dumbfounded on the difficulty of this game at warden. Im litteraly stuck after first slimes, after minmaxing for several hours, and several restarts. Why is this game so difficult? How am I supposed to defeat thugs that two shot me, and disarms me? Ive tried killing them, Ive tried secretary style which just ends in defeat b4 they finish. WTF am I supposed to do? Is this game seriously gonna make me play easy mode? That would be the first time ever XD I cant figure out if I suck, or the game is unintuitive. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I get the feeling that I have to ''know'' what works best to beat it, which is bad design for a ''normal'' difficulty setting. (Im minmaxing fatigue, Ive bought the 300 stam bracers, I make money from the guards every day.) I specialised in blunt + slash dmg, but I get the feeling agi is stronger. However the game SHOULD be easily beatable without agi if u play correctly right?

Have you gotten an Edict for the Thug Problem? If not, then the Room after the Slime will be extremely difficult no matter the difficulty. Also as a Side Note, I would not recommend fighting against the Guards outside the office for money. You are setting up a ticking Time Bomb and sooner or later Guards will turn into your worst nightmare since you are increasing Guard Aggression more and more.

No, you don't suck, game is rigged for players to lose. And it is badly explained to a new player. You only get a good understanding of the game after a few playthroughs or by digging the game's files :ROFLMAO:. That's just how it is. You're supposed to play multiple times and carry unlocked titles with you after a run to make your next run a bit less annoying to play.

I've seen that before, but for some reason control stopped increasing after winning a battle. Is it a gltich?
As Neriel pointed out, it wasn't actually control that increases after winning battles, it was order.
I haven't played the game for a while, seems like I'm forgetting/confusing things, sorry, my bad.

So I am using the ccmod for the extra features but I am not a big fan of the pregnancy part. So I went in to the config file and set that part of the mod to false. The issue it even though I disabled that part of the mod things associated with it is still showing up in game. This includes the new edicts it adds for birth control as well an internal view picture is the menu screen. Is there any way to disable these extra features as well as turning off these parts of the mod?

Ok just to make sure, we are actually talking about that after winning a battle you don't get any Order correct? Since Control doesn't change from battles. If yes, have you modded the game in any form?
The game is modded. If control doesn't change from battles, then how do you increase it besides the upgrades.

Probably needs a new save for changes to take effect.

Control is almost entirely only changeable via Edicts. There are some Titles if you Equip them for an entire Day, that also can increase Control and at the start when you pick your starting Title there are some that change Control. So you should really pay attention which Edicts you pick when buying Edicts. Especially if the Edict has -Control. Make sure that the Edict is really worth it. Aside from that you can influence the Order by fighting Battles or working at the Receptionist Side Job. So having -10 Control as an example is not that big of a Deal, as long as you fight a few battles and/or work as a Receptionist.
