To be honest, the DLCs were lackluster.
At its core KP is, as mentioned, an ambitious project that brought something new to the table. I made a comment about it being something new to the whole genre somewhere on here before that combined Battlefuck, Management elements, and other things. I mean, the sidejobs alone were proof of this as I don't believe that was ever done in any other RPGmaker games where they made some type of battle-system out of a sidejob that still worked.
I believe Remitary got tired of the game, this is proof with the 4th floor as there was nothing ever there. Visually there were things, but 4th floor was a dead floor. Though I am sure some could argue 'that it was basically end game,' floor. Because after that you had the final showdown, but you were never in any rush to do it at the same token.
While Rem claims how deeply they love KP, I just feel they could have sent it off differently as a final hurrah than how they did.
I mean, imagine how much KP could have reawakened if they added the same amount of activities as a DLC pack? They could of even priced it 10-15$ at min(not sure how much the steam price of Gym was, I never looked at it. But it shouldn't be even more than 5$)
And they had more than ample time to make a full Sidejob DLC and that is putting aside the need for eye surgery.
Base jobs/activites were
1st Floor
Bar / Receptionist
2nd Floor
Toliet
3rd Floor
Stripper
4th Floor
(Deadfloor)
DLC could have provided four more things, but instead, we just got GYM thing that not many people were super hyped about and again it was the same Beta that many of us played and the other people jailbreaked played. Hell, there are plenty of possibilities for activities and more than enough to make it two activities per floor.
And again, lets be honest. The amount of time Rem spent malding over GYM stuff, could have been more by doing other jobs alongside it, instead of stressing over a single content job for DLC. I am sure many people would had appreciate more as one of the best features of KP were how the sidejobs were done. But nope, we just got a Gloryhole2.0 and they ended it with that.
Another lazy thing I noticed, and not to nitpick, is why are the guards in the same prison uniform when they workout in the gym? I dunno, sounds like a very lazy dev thing when they could have just given them black trunks or something else instead of prison stripe ones. But maybe I am nitpicking here, it was something that subconsciously peeved me when I was playing after I saw t.
But hey, as I mentioned prior many times. At least the new voicelines are good. If anything it should be called Voice DLC with Gym content being extra feature.
