We're talking about KP, this isn't Skyrim.
I dont really understand why are you bringing skyrim up when I never mentioned any other game than karryn's prison in my post nor anything not related to that
But ok if that works for you
Just like the other guy making "general statements", it doesn't really apply to this game.
I am talking about modding games and mod managers here
Does karryn's prison have mods? Yes
Can you use a mod manager with karryn's prison? Also yes
Did I talk about mods of other games or other games? No
Or you wanna tell me that applying mods on karryn's prison with a mod manager is not "Modding a game" or modding karryn's prison?
Hence, why it's much better just manually installing in a single click
It's much better when you know how to apply the mods and where to apply them safely
I wouldnt recommend that to a newbie who is approaching modding for the first time
And installing a mod manager is not something only an absolute computer wizard can do
Just install a mod manager, watch or read a guide on how to set it up and the hard part is done
After that the manager pretty much does everything for you(and applies mods in a single click mind you) and tells you what overwrites what and what could cause conflicts
And again a mod manager shows you a load order where you can see what mods you installed and even gives you a general idea what is overwriting what because mods at the bottom of said order overwrites what is upwards(in MO2 case it explicitly tells you if a mod is overwriting something)
The biggest advantage of a mod manager is that it removes what mod you want(with a simple click again!
) without having to go manually to the game directory remove the mod from there
Wont solve conflicts but makes it 10x easier to recognize them
You average modding noob risks removing important game files if he doesnt know what he has to remove
Hell even in the guide posted on rem's discord mod managers are recommended and I doubt they would recommend those if they werent relatively easy to use(I think modders are aware that the average karryn's prison coomer isnt exactly a bright mind regarding these things
)
unless if you're a specific case of an obsessed person that needs to update the game/mod after every minor patch.
?
How is this relevant to the topic or anything I said?
If you want you can install a mod through a mod manager and let it sit for 10 or more years without updates
The mod manager wont point a gun at your head or threaten to slay your kin just because you arent updating your mods
