A quick progress report for you all...

October 10th 2022: Progress Report

Hello everyone, Rem here with this week's Progress Report!

Oh boy, I fucked up. More on that later though. First thing first, within the last week, Sachinama has finished the CG variations for two more CGs!!!! There is now only one CG out of the five new CGs that need CG variations. I've also coded in the finished CG variations, and began work on writing the new dialogue.

And that is where I discovered my big mishap... You see, it's been pretty much a year since I last did erotic writing, so I kinda forgot...

That I really should not have lumped all the writing to be done together and instead spread it out and began work on them earlier. How should I describe it - it's like drinking out of a cup of water, and waiting for the leaky roof above to slowly drip back down enough water to fill up the cup again. Aaah, Rem, you goof. You done goof'd.

Too late to cry, while still bitterly crying. And that's it for this week's report. No one cares but my dry skin has gotten even drier this month, so remember to lotion up after showering, and remember to drink plenty of hydrating fluids. Talk to you all again next week!

This game really only needs a recollections scene, I've seen some crazy recollection scenes that can do multiple variations of different animations and statuses, it take time but its possible, the only way to get to this is a test area using a cheat menu but its rather broken. Hope one day this gets an official recollection room.

how it is even possible for the artist to finish quicker than the coder when most of the codebase is already done.
The code for each job has to be written separately, because their logic is gameplay-wise different.
In addition to that, there's also the need to adjust and verify the balance, taking all edicts etc. into account.
And hundreds of dialogues need to be created for every possible level of corruption Karryn has.

If you get the happy end, you can continue to do the side jobs and fight custom battles on the 5th floor.

the code for each job is an expansion of the existing battle logic, and you could make the point that each side job is the same but with slightly different logic.
the dialogue might require a little bit more of creativity but isn't like he's creating a new chapter in a visual novel; it's a couple dozen lines at most.
all in all, i believe that this particular DLC could have taken half the time coding wise.

Check first page of this thread. Download links for game and mod are there in the opening post.
