Feels like that ending is the dev laughing at you for doing that, and I think that's fully justified.
Buying a porn game and avoiding all the porn. You genuinely deserve to be made the butt of a joke. Like the present for getting all Korok seeds being shit.
You're not avoiding
all of the porn. Unless you're playing on Secretary, you're bound to see
something unless you really push it (especially with the Descension mechanic). Whether it's just the sidejobs, Karryn in her room, the guards, or the occasional 'Oops I messsed up' desire mismanagement, you will see some of the content even going for Empress End. It being an h-game doesn't mean that people don't want to engage with the gameplay in multiple ways. If the gameplay doesn't have anything to it, most people aren't going to put time into these games.
If all you care about is the art/voices, there are dedicated VNs with far better characters and stories to look towards.
I disagree with this mindset.
The most fulfilling experience in undertale is not the genocide end.
The game is an adult game, where the core erotic focus is a main heroine getting raped and turning into a slut. If you avoid the core conceit of the game, it makes absolute perfect sense to me, that the dev gives you shit.
You get the full experience in Undertale by doing multiple runs, so it's crazy to single out the Genocide route like it would be all someone does.
The whole game is focused entirely on Karryn's psyche and how much she is
willing to do. The premise is ridiculous if you take two seconds to think about it, but if you follow the rules in place this means that Karryn has to want stuff to happen to her. This means the game is built off of both sides of the coin. For the whole game, you consistently get access to tools that keep Karryn from falling to her lust. You even get penalized for being too far gone or losing control at the wrong times. The game also straight up tells you that it expects you to do multiple runs, so I don't see why it's farfetched to want rewards for doing so. The titles are supposed to be that, and I think they're fine overall.
All I was saying is that the two endings and their rewards aren't comparable. It's not a deal breaker at all, but it makes me sad since there are numerous H-games that have multiple endings with comparable content for each of them. I just thought it would be neat if going for Empress End unlocked content specifically for it (like a special scene viewer or unique scenes for the Emperor) or substantial stuff for new runs (like costumes/new weapons).
When I personally get into an H-game, the
game part is just as important as the
hentai part. It's why this game is one of my favorites in the genre.
