Welp, only overseers get the game without paying just screw everyone else. This is after get paid too many times for just making announcements of an announcement and no release. Awesome.

Seriously, just stop supporting him.
Either wait for him to post a release and then support him, or wait for it to get leaked here.

At this rate I'm thinking we might not see the update till January but with Teary who knows.

Only thing that kinda scares me is that "Next friday 100%" turned to "I'm making progress and rewriting some parts to make it work"

So "nearly done, I see the end" turned into "I made some progress.... don't know when it's ready!"

quite alarming.

Teary is not a good programmer. The game has had spaghetti code since the first releases.
We got told we'd had to restart at some point because of refactoring said spaghetti code but spaghetti gonna spaghetti all over the place because Teary is not a good programmer.

Teary is also not someone who can write good dialogue. That's exactly his problem. He refuses to work with anyone else and uses shitty code and shitty writing. He should focus on his art and ask for HELP.

Well, it depends on the code because most of the time if someone is brought in and the code is just a MESS no one except the creator can understand it would be better just to start over. What would take some months... So no contracting someone wouldn't make the game have faster updates immediately, but would help in the long run. And sometimes bringing someone from outside can kinda fuck a project no name shall be mentioned, so yeah if you thought "If the dev contracts a coder updates will get out faster!" it isn't that simple.

One thing i must say is that interesting Femdom games are CURSED to have a lot of delays because of bad code, the dev having medical emergencies, someone on the team wanting to milk the Patreon, and real life getting in the way of the dev... And tf is happening with the beat em up panic game.

We are stuck in a circle... We wait, complain about the wait, and then the dev finally releases the update. Everyone calms down about the game for about a month max, then people wait, wait more, complain about the wait, then dev.... And the cycle goes on until the game is finished.

The problem is the code will get worse & worse the longer the game is. He probably only is twice as good at coding as Yandere dev. He should ask for help NOW and maybe talk to someone who is good at coding and go over the entire code for a day and then ask for that persons opinion.

It's not always the case that a new programmer would need to refactor the entirety of the code. There are programmers (a bit like me) that are more specialized in debugging code of others, and would be able to initially work within the current codebase, while progressively "fixing" the code in time (so that the release schedule is not disturbed).

To the same point, we're still talking about RPG Maker games, the real code only happens in Script/Plugin situations, rest is simply editor usage. And Katalist doesn't seem like a custom mechanics-heavy game, so it's just a matter of understanding what the Editor Database does for each entry used

Teary works with the fandom polls and stuff and Abt the dialog... Well yea it's kinda of meh not the worst not the best I mean he can hire someone to do the dialog or just get suggestions from someone in the fandom itself
