Are people actually excited for a bugfixing update? 0.092 obviously just an excuse for Teary to delay the next update, since there was no way in hell it was coming out this month like he said.

The morning after the tower basement event, right after exiting the boys dorm, you are put in a "cutscene" where you and John go to Dominic's class room to look for him, as this happens, Trent shows up and asks John to give you and him some space to talk privately. Trent knows you've been in the tower basement, and punches you. He's close to beating you up, but then a girl named Beatrice intervenes and tells him to back off. This is currently where the story ends.

to be fair, it was buggy before and instead of fixes we now got an even more buggy version. iirc the last version that was fairly stable was 0.079 and that goes all the way back to april. i generally don't like to see things as black as Joe does, but after waiting all this time just to get a version where not even the basic attacks work i have a hard time staying optimistic. and yeah, it's a great game in many ways, making it a real shame with how things are going.
I wouldn't count myself as "excited", or even "optimistic", but I don't think that it's bad to simply be... unconcerned.
I get the frustration with the delays, obviously femdom games are rare and GOOD femdom games are rarer still so there's not a lot of alternative choice when delays occur. But also... the majority of us in here are not paying for the game. Getting worked up over a porn game that I'm not paying for just isn't appealing.
Those that are paying for it definitely have a right to complain, but then again the entry price is three bucks per month so at that point it's easier to just unsuscribe from the patreon rather than doing anything else.
Not trying to justify the delays, clearly Teary should drop the pretension of monthly updates because it isn't working out. But if a delay happens, it happens. If not, good. Either way, Teary doesn't have the keys to our chastity cages, so nothing is really lost by waiting for the update to come out at its pace.

fair points imho. i've argued in a similar way here a few months back, so i can hardly say anything against it. the weird thing for me is that on the discord (of this and other femdom games), where the patreons have all rights to be upset, people tend to be blindly loyal and ok with all the delays and false promises taking place. criticizing things there can be like poking a virtual wasp hive. i'm with you that non-patreons shoudn't be overly demanding about a "free" game, but weirdly enough it appears to me like you can get more honest feedback here.
Oh, I agree that criticism is a good thing that should occur. And I think that Teary himself is fine with it, at least on the discord he was quite quick when answering to bug reports. I just think that people on this thread seem to exaggerate a bit the actual importance of a "free" porn game getting delayed. It ain't anything to stress oneself about, is all I'm saying.

The notion that you have to pay for something in order to have a "right" to complain about it is one I completely disagree with. It's a bit surprising that people in a porn game piracy site don't share this ideal, but we should be able to say whatever we want about Katalist, whenever we want, and for whatever reason, regardless of whether we're supporting Teary financially or not.
The only thing we can't have a right to, is having our criticisms being heard and taken into consideration by Teary himself, but that includes Patreon backers and "freeloaders" alike. It's Teary's game and he's gonna do whatever he wants with it, so if there's a group of people being entitled, it's the ones that think they have more of a say in Katalist's development just because they threw a couple of bucks Teary's way.
And yeah, even knowing that Teary will ultimately do whatever the hell he wants, and that he's unlikely to hear me or someone of the same opinion out, I still think it's worth it to voice our criticisms in the hopes that he'll listen (and it's also therapeutic).
Whatever the case, people would do well to undo the consumerism brainwashing that's telling them that only buyers have rights, as opposed to everyone regardless of their financial decisions.
