Why does my microsoft defender freaks out when I try to launch the .exe even though it saw nothing when scanning the files?

Hey, I'm also interested in that, since the idea of an optional "hard mode" like that is so underdone in games (I think only Love, Sex, And Second Base does it?) Though currently the dick upgrade is part of the Kill Pig Curse, so working that out would be a bit hard.
Also, damn, I can tell why people asked for that, because the public nudity scene, nickname, and the Stepmom's attitude really fit something like what labbu wanted. I don't think you were intending that, but it really felt like an unintended signal fire.

The most painless ways I can see to add that would be just making a route/routes where the Game Master says "Oh, by the way, [insert girl here] doesn't like big dicks, so I'm returning you to Thumbelito mode". The downside of that is some people might not like the character that gets that treatment, and it also is going to have people saying "Hey, I don't want to do that", so they'd probably have to be optional? The other option would be just making it a optional thing for you to not have your upgraded dick for some of the characters going forward.

Anyway, about the game itself. I know it's early, but that wall with the "you need karma to progress, get the master hints!", and all they do is give you the karma needed to continue the scene felt so damn silly. The situation itself felt kinda silly too since Option 2 is literally just 2 combined with option 3, but I think that was supposed to be a joke? It feels like if the hints said something, something about game master making fun of him for thinking Option 3 was the correct choice would be funny.

I think the "normal" speed of the second sex animation needs some adjustment, it looks like it was several frames too slow IMO.

Are you also doing all of the art? It's quite nice, you'll be able to cover a lot of ground with what I've seen of it so far.

So, yeah, overall a pretty decent first second game, keep it up!

Honestly, I hadn’t thought about implementing penis size as a mechanic, but it’s a pretty interesting and uncommon idea. The curse isn’t really a curse deep down, since with his new appearance, the protagonist changes his attitude (not his personality) and ends up being luckier with girls, even if he looks weird.
Maybe as part of the curse, he could control the size of his penis depending on the situation… (I could add a menu where the player chooses).
It’s a tempting idea. Though maybe the simpler way to go — like you mentioned — would be for the game master to give some hints about each girl’s preferences. If the player guesses wrong, they lose karma points.

Also, good point about the choices (1, 2, 3) feeling too similar — I’ll tweak those for the 0.1.2 update so they stand out more.

I think my worst fear is happening with the animation speed. I’m using about 30 frames per animation at 8 FPS. I might have to lower the frame rate... but that would mess up the quality. If anyone has more thoughts or suggestions, I’d really appreciate it.

And yep, I’m doing all the art myself. I know that fully AI-generated art usually looks cleaner, but for now I prefer the handmade style — not sure what’ll happen in the future though.

The "curse" not really being a curse is pretty standard to H-games (well, except in certain cases.)
The issue is that the meeting with the old man about Kill Pig gives off the opposite message. It's like being shown someone who suffered from an illness and they're in a terrible state, and then the MC develops said illness, the mind is going to go toward thinking the illness is not a good thing, not to mention the Game Master warning Roi that playing the game again would alter him further in unknown ways. The old man also not having any sort of pig details made me imagine the curse was only visible to Roi, and that it was more that people would begin treating him like a pig, and only he would know the reason, or something like that.

One thing I didn't mention is that everything flows super fast pacing-wise. That's fine for the first version, but I really hope the game slows down at some point once it's expanded more.

And yeah, don't second-guess yourself for using your own art. It works really well for the game IMO.

My original idea was that the old man isn’t a good person. He only seeks out Roi to pass on the curse and free himself from it... I even planned for him to die when Roi loses the game, thanking him for breaking the curse.

As for Roi, his curse revolves around his bad luck with girls, his addiction to hentai games… and his weak, skinny appearance (I imagined a more athletic pig version of him).

Hopefully I can expand on all of this in a future version.
Right now I’m working on an extra animation for the arrogant girl (Marie) and a location map to make story progression and navigation easier.

I’m still a bit worried about the animation—I thought the movement looked decent...
Originally, I wanted the story to focus on Roi already turned into a pig, but you’re right—maybe I should slow down the pacing and add more details about Roi’s regular life first.
I’ll try to make the drawings more expressive (maybe by exaggerating facial expressions).

Ah, that makes a lot more sense. I like the idea that he intentionally hypes up Roi to KillPig knowing what will happen, while looking more pig-like and sinister, wearing a hoodie that shows a vague snout, and one of his hands is a pig's hoof, followed by Roi leaving the arcade and then him dying, but looking normal again. Though this wouldn't help the whole tone about the nature of the curse either, lol.
I think the current version fits the more sunny-looking vibe the game has, but some minor re-working would still be a neat idea later on.

I think what the issue for the second animation is if you don't click the speed up button your brain accepts the framerate of the animation, but once you click it and return, something about it just looks completely off. Maybe one solution could be decreasing how fast the speed up button makes the animation in that scene? Just my two cents.

For a demo/first version you do tell a decent amount about Roi
-Embarassing public incident over a girl he crushes on
-Said girl basically ignores him
-His relationship with his stepmom
-His hobby
And his hobby is what leads into him getting cursed. It flows well.
Though yeah, ideally you'd show a few more characters in the intro, because only seeing the stepmom/girl kinda leads people into thinking that either they're the focus characters, or those will be the ONLY characters in the game.
That's a very tough area to plan out, though it'll probably become easier as time goes on.

I really like the idea of the old man wearing a hood… maybe with a long white beard to hide his wicked intentions — all without losing the humorous tone of the game.
Let’s see how it all plays out later on.
For the second animation, I added a lot of frames to make it more realistic, but I’m afraid that’s pushing Ren’Py to its limits.
Also, the PNG sizes — even after compression — aren’t helping much...
I’m planning to include another girl: a loyal friend of Roi, and also a buddy, kind of a partner-in-crime, though sometimes they’ll have a bit of rivalry (I imagined him as a chubby guy, not sure if that’ll work).
There’s also going to be a soda shop where Roi can earn a few coins instead of pitifully begging his generous stepmom for tips.
Right now, I’m working on the code and implementing the location map...
After that, I’ll go all-in on the art (my favorite part, lol).
I had a question — I’ve seen devs translate their games into multiple languages.
I feel like just having English and Spanish might limit the audience a bit.
For that, I’ll probably use AI translation — even if it comes with its usual limitations.
Another thing: I hadn’t really thought about doing an Android build, but I think that could help too.
Anyway, thanks to your feedback, I feel like I’m really starting to shape the idea more clearly — and I’ve got a better handle on what I need to do!

I don't know much about LLM Translations, nor the process of finding a human translator, but I would think Russian, Chinese, Korean, and Japanese would be a good start. If you want to focus only on one for now, then probably Russian? I see a decent chunk of people asking for that first before anything else when it comes to games like this on Itch.IO.
Normally I'd say wait until you have at least 5k words before you start offering other languages, but at the current state, Google Translate is probably okay for Russian, just be sure to be honest that it's going to be rough.

Yeah, I might add Russian in future updates, though I’m not sure it’ll be in the next one...
For now, using Google Translate or some AI is probably the best option.
