AI art is very close to being usable for these kind of games, but it's not just downloading the first Lora you see on Civitai and start spitting images left and right. It still needs a little more effort on the dev side, lots of inpainting, tricks to make the backgrounds and clothing consistent... Otherwise it's just mild nightmare fuel and a ton of inconsistencies.

Let's just say: this game probably took more effort than the official one. It's really grim, up to and including the terrible art (done deliberately, I might add, to "catch the poors" in an aesthetic trap where impoverished teenage girls get to imagine that their dull grey lives are somewhat relateable to a sociopathic billionaire. And yes, they got pros in to model all of this before release).

On a positive note, if you're training AI on K.K. then skynet is gonna have a massive bias towards eradicating botox'd faces, so it's not all bad.
