This should be you r change log. Telling people its a n inital release and nothing else doesn't tell people anything. What people want to know is what they are going to get out of the release

I'll take a look into that for the 2nd build, honestly I wasn't familiar with those platforms. I managed to trace down I would say majority of the bugs and fixed the gate conditions. So i'll post an update soonish , real life and deadlines don't always see eye to eye

tf are you supposed to do? i went to the dive bar, the employement office etc. after a while objectives stopped showing. and by while i mean 10 minutes.

There's a bug in the dev build where the ending condition of main scene never fires and therefore the subsequent scenes never trigger. I'm working on the bugfix for v2 of the dev build. I'll update the intro to warn users.
There's nothing here. After being directed to certain places on the first day, everything is empty. You don't know what to do. Everywhere you go, they tell you there's nothing to do here.
Remove the class backdrop-blur-xl from all the div tags in the html. Only then I was able to see anything properly.

This is in the description;
" living in the house you inherited "
Then there is this;
"I'm here to inform you that you're two months behind on your rent payments."
You don't pay rent on something you inherit.
I don't know what the fuck a HOA is, but anyone without a badge barging into a home I own is putting their life at great risk.
The layout is terrible.
Why are there walls of text on the left side of the screen while a single huge image dominates the centre?
Having a background image is not good either, just make it plain black to keep things as legible as possible.
We're warned to save manually, I can't see a save button.
Stop using this phrase so often.

Prolific repetition is not a good sign of engaging or creative writing.
There is zero indication of what to do next and this must be relied upon;
It's not a good sign.
Stop trying to reinvent the wheel.
Have a look at the popular Twine VNs and see how the layouts are all very similar.
They are similar and popular for a reason.

Thanks for the review. You're right in that I should've gone through a bit harder on the details of the events, the intro was changed a couple times and I think a few details were missed during revisions.
As for the issues:
- save functionality was intended to get unlocked after one of the main scenes (the problematic one that causes the subsequent scenes to not fire, mentioned as a warning in the main post), save/load functionality is available at the start now.
- the hint system has been revamped giving a much better idea of what to do next, available actions as well as what locaitons and time
- the navigation system is also changed to allow walking to nearby locations, searchable locations if not nearby and a taxi system
I love twine games but wanted more customization and wanted a game that I would like enjoying playing as well, since this is a passion project I wanted to share it with folks. But the UI has been redesigned from a lot of user suggestions. Background image has been removed with a dark gradient making the text much more visible. Quite a few of the scenes have been reworked to be much more clear and less disjointed.

Its not written in Sugarcube/twine Its svelte, it doesn't store variables in the browsers console so you can't alter them directly in teh console. You might be able to cheat /change variables using the dev tools

This game has promise but currently makes no sense. so many issues
1. What is with the constant flickering of the screen? is it because it is in Edge?
2. If you don't get a hint you are completely lost. I got to the dive bar thing and that is the last hint I get. Then it is just a guessing game where to go. Unless I was supposed to do something before that to next clue.

I started off the game with AI gen images but was having a hard time with consistent characters so I shelved it at the moment while i get better in that realm. It's something I kind of want to implement eventually if I can do it justice. Therefore I went with real porn, I should probably change the game banner to reflect this.
