well in menu you unlock skills which make fighting really easy you need blue or red souls for fighting skills i usually like to hit enemy with thunder arrows that is paralyzing them then finish them off with bow, for stronger ones use thunder arrows and then poison arrow it will paralyze and poison them, for making things really easy finish all vulsha story then you could take her with you she is called rank breaker because hits all enemies, she will swipe thru them like knife thru butter
As it stands right now, there is no way to get the sword. Even if you cheated your way and teleported to its location, you can't pick it up.

so to teleport ability u need black orbs which i like to farm in abandoned fort or little earlier mountain pass from statues but they are rarer drop then learn it thru skill menu, to teleport you click with mouse on power and then on any point with mouse it costs 25% of your mana for every jump

very possible the game has many bugs, i would say you could teleport but youre with companion i dont remember if it works with morati, i would suggest to save often on different saves before every mission and some time during mission and maybe after mission too
try this i also heard that its happening when you try to fight spider or go thru locked cave behind spider, easy solution would be to just not fight it
