just thought it important, because of who the target market for the lovers route is.

And given the way I think about things, I was already making up an idea of how i would do it to take that market :S (am a copywriter, so thinking about sales and target markets is what I sorta do).

I 100% think more devs should learn this, since the biggest mistake I often see, is that they unintentionally do things that that specific market wouldn't like and drives them away.

If you genuinely wish to keep it the way it is, by all means do, just do it knowing what cost it comes at. (in this case, a chunk of the vanilla fandom, and harem fandom, i.e. those who don't tolerate it).

Although given how loosely "avoidable" has been used, the amount of people willing to even tolerate the tag being on the game at all, is rapidly shrinking. Where you need something else to pull them in, which this has maple story theme and gameplay to draw them in still. (I would almost suggest instead of two different routes, just have two different games if you were to remake this project, or if it was just starting out).

fully explaining can be a double edge sword, since those on the lovers route wouldn't want to know about it. So it can kinda make things worse.
Also how it clashes with the whole "Lovers" Route in the first place. Especially when you talk about which LIs are involved and such.
The way I would implement it personally, would be to have a softcore and harcore route for it on the corruption route. instead of a "lovers" and "corruption" variantion, since cause of what it is both are corruption, just how hardcore it is is what is different.

So it would be more something not to have on the "lovers" route. Or have it as a disable-able kink asked about at the start of the game, so the player can opt-out without ever hearing about it.

What confuses me a little personally, is that you have to go out of your way to buy a card for loli content, which is less extreme than beast content.

Which you have to go out and find out about in the first place. So I would suggest to do that actually, since you already have a similar system in place for another tag/niche.
That way the player never has to hear or think about it, without directly seeking it out.

Something to further add to explain what I mean here:

As it is done currently, you have the player having built their harem, with the LIs only loving them, and then you get this massive hit to the face of "O btw you LIs are more than happy to fuck a dog, do you want them to?" out of left field.
Which whether or not it is the main cannon or non-cannon route, doesn't matter because it comes across as the main route, since it isn't something they have to seek out but instead fell in their lap.
Ruining the idea that the LIs only want MC, cause well... they would fuck this dog if you let them. completely destroying and idea of the LIs only wanting to be exclusive to MC, and instead replacing it with the idea that "They would fuck this dog, and want to, just that you can choose them not to... but they still wanted to" Know that might not be the intention, but it is how it comes across.

Another thing, is it also breaks immersion from the story, as that pulls them right out going "What the fuck!? I thought the LIs only wanted MC cause of the route I chose?" but now they have another thing saying "They would still fuck someone/something else, will you let them?".

Hence the card thing being a good idea here, because you have to go out of your way intentionally to activate it, in order to even hear about it. (although would call it the "Tiny the dog" card, to be self-explanitory).

ok, I have talked to Haseo and I will explain the "skip" function.
so, I updated it after a request that is "too slow" so some people are clicking like madmen or autoclicker to skip ahead.
the new skip function would just "skip", here's how (example)
- u are on page 2 and u use skip
- the function will now change page to 3. if page 3 is just text, it will continue until theres no more
- if theres just text, it will change to next page
- if theres something, like a button/choices, it will stop at that page and u need to choose.
- if theres no more pages, it will leave the "text-mode" and if theres no reward, it will seem it will just exit to map.

after talked to Haseo I decide to add a setting.
so next update u can go to "settings" and pick "normal" or "instant" mode.

Am I the only one who keeps loosing music?
Sometimes when I move the window out of focus. Click on my browser or something the game looses music not sound. The in game music player dies until I restart the game.

for anywone getting the hammering error i think i know what causes it i have no auto clicker but stil get hammering error however i always have my controller hooked up on my pc cause i use my headset on my ps4 controller what seemed too fix it is unplug the controller while the game open and plug it back in no more error crash for now

but, both sound and music uses the same method.
could be something that makes the music-application to crash.
I dont have that issue so hard for me to fix.

It's happened to me usually in the middle of the song and when I'm writing new content. Is yours also cutting out in the middle or is it the song changing that makes the music player crash?

In the middle.
As I said whenever I either run another app(well actually something with an .exe) or when I start stop videos or songs in my browsers. Some messenger apps also kill it again those with an exe. Like skype or discord.(when I get a call not message)

My guess would be either memory access messes with it or when something sends a low lever request like microphone or camera or directx or something.

I run sound through HDMI over my nvidia GPU using nvidia drivers.

This thing makes me think back to my uni. programming projects. I had a course mate with whom we often teamed up for bigger project who would always use anal or quadanal or other porn terms as variables in his code and always use porn for test data and text.... Nothing makes your lecturer go WTF!?!? Like reading some Brazers anal video description where he expected lorem ipsum.
A lot of the text in this game has the same level of WTF randomness.

yeah. another user did have this issue. so far I have not figure out a way to "detect" it.
I have asked in a "programming" forum, but the response is the same: "it should detect".
if I can detect that the sound is off, I can just "disable" the sound, and it will not crash.
I can not make it myself since no matter what I do, the initialization "detects".
what I need is someone with this error (like u) that will try multiple times

So after many attemps the only way for the game to start with no errors occuring is to play with my sound output as anything besides headphones. Ive also tried booting it up playing a little then swithcing to headphones later and the error does eventualy pop up. I dont mind playing the game with no sound. ( My monitor doesnt have speakers). Ill keep messing around with it either after or durring my playthrough to see if i can find a work arround.

Writing down some experiences as a brand new player. Not a full review, not intended to be full of complaints either. Be aware that I've put around a week's worth of effort of a few hours per day and am currently dealing with the Elves story-wise. Spoiler tags to not clutter up the thread.

- let me help a bit: some shop have sections. as u see here I can pick different clothes.
- to get the "extra" drop rate u need to initialize the mission. is not enough u know u need to collect something u also need to make sure u get that "button" that says: give me X something. doing so, that "something" will have additional drop chance.
- the problem with the game- and story- is that the writer decided to go that route. I told him numerous times but futile. that is why the "5-adventurer jobs" are not used, instead a special-job (darkness) was introduced and with that ISSUES. as u already experienced. sure, later in the game it get fixed with the job-books, but early u are restricted with beginner/common equips.
- the library and bestiary are your friend, its a good way to check items u want and what monster drop.
- a lot of "items" that are hard to find u can buy from NPC. check library, if u click on a item, it will say "how to get it", if from drop, mission, shop, gacha etc.

It is something I've kept in mind which is why Rien is chock full of rewards for a lot of gear you can actively use. More will come for sure.

Okay. Yeah so disregard what I said about armor not being available, but can you please make the buttons any color other than grey? Not only does it blend in perfectly with the background, it looks exactly like the buttons that in consumable shops regulate the amount. The amount thing was explained in the shop tutorial and it never occurred to me that it would lead to different tabs in equipment shops (if this was mentioned too then I somehow missed it and I'm sorry for being stupid). I open up the shop, see hats and empty slots that could have other stuff and conclude that it has nothing else. I don't need 10 hats so I won't even bother mousing over to see what the buttons do. At least if they were blue or red I'd check out of curiosity.

In fact, I went back to Lith harbor to check something. Natasha has 1 tab and ALL her items in it, from pants to shirts. It is only in Henesys and above that shops grow more tabs for individual gear types, which goes contrary to what has been established previously. Hope you see where my confusion comes from.

Eh, you're good. We established I'm just stupid. That was genuinely like 75% of my gripes with the game. All in all I can say like 20 good things and 1 iffy one, which is a pretty incredible for any game. I can feel how passionate you guys are and it's a joy to see such a long running game not just surviving, but getting actively updated with no signs of slowing down. Mad respect to the team!

it all depends on the amount of items.
those early shops offer common-items, and not that many, it would be odd to have 2-4 items each category so I have everything in one page.
all "job" towns have that kind of shop. all 5 job-towns offer armor-shop with multi-tabs.
while consumable (since u can buy in bulk) offer amount tabs.
remember that u can split bulk, both in inventory but also in the shop using right mouse button.
and dont forget transfer-item key, if u want to speed things up when u move around items.

not sure if HaseoOfDeath mention this, could be useful information that u can get the first shop (henesys) that sells in tabs.
or we add it even earlier by ms. record, she can explain shops. I let Haseo decide that.
