Is this a trusted individual? Because between the file name and the fact that clicking the link brings me to a screen warning me not to download I'm not exactly super confident in it.

Baka is the coder/programmer on the project. He uses TwinBasic to code the game and Windows Defender and f95 doesn't react the best to it but it's 100% safe

Thank you for the info. Unfortunately, the exe Baka posted didn't help.

However, I found the backup saves and reverted one of them, and that worked. Between that and starting a new character also working, I'm wondering if it's maybe a save corruption issue? I've attached the backup save that worked along with the first backup save that has the bug in case those provide any insight.

Wait, what? The .13.sav should have the bug I'm encountering where you can't move around the screen. I plugged it in to my own game just now too and it still happens. I double-checked all the movement keys were bound correctly too.

Quick questions.

1. That Rain quest. Do you remember what it was that lead to it freezing?

I have no idea. I finished Rain's "leaving the island" conversation after Step 12 of her quest and then I found my movement keys no longer worked.

The .12.sav file is from when the game was still working. The .13.sav file is the oldest backup I found that had the broken movement.

I've confirmed I'm playing 2.7.8, I'm gonna try redownloading and see if that fixes anything

Edit: Update, I tried redownloading the client. I have no idea what setting I could have possibly tripped to cause the movement keys to stop working.

Worst case scenario I *can* roll back to a state that still works, I'm just gonna have to redo Rain's entire quest, which is a little annoying.

yeah. Im not really sure why u get that.
if u join our discord its easier to talk and help.
one solution is that we use a .sav (the .13) I use it, start the game, move around, see that its working, and send it back. and see if it works.

so I downloaded the .13 (from another computer, using the 2.7.8)
I play, move around and quit.

So... i've gotten I think quite a bit further into the game and... man all these Lovers events are so damn sweet... I don't think I can ever do another playthrough doing the corruption paths..

The Dark Hero can be sweet as well. You should see how he treats Maya, Orihime, and Athena lol

Other times he's just very rough since all he wants on a base line is true loyalty but people tend to overthink

-Fixed Mirror Travel not activating. Also added Bubbles so you know which Mirrors work for this System
-Fixed bug that froze your screen if on certain Camila, Maya, Rain, etc quests
-Fixed Lucy having 2 Trade Shops
-Fixed Ming's Saviours Shop deleting items you've already earned
-Fixed Asuna having a repeating blowjob scene in Home Base (Her dentist was getting worried)
-Fixed a few mistakes with clothing for Ayan, Orchid, and Mina
-Removed 3rd option for Hide (H). Now it's only Full and SFW so you don't hide the entire screen by accident
-Fixed up a wrong Cane Item iD for the Cane Refinery

And for those that already have the full build, the attached is just the bug fix. Place in your game folder and replace the exe and ui story. Enjoy!

Hey so encumbrance isn't a mechanic, is it? Because when I tried the new client, and the new save file, I still ended up having the movement issue. But when I reverted to an earlier backup and just left Rain's quest undone, I was able to make a discovery - something about leveling up to lv 21 is causing me to be unable to move unless I'm casting the Nimble Feet skill, the one that gives 80% movement speed. So something is reducing my base speed to 0 and I have no idea what it could be.

I've attached my current save file.

I did some testing. level20 to level21 (since we have the novices guide bonus)
using nimble (before and/or after level 20/21) and see what happens.
but I can't find anything wrong here. I get speed 100/180/205 depending on level and nimble active.
and if I wait until the skill is done, it gives me 100 and I don't see anything wrong with my movement.

theres this "hammer" protection. but its just for 1-2 seconds. it will stop any input. but u notice that as the border change color.
but the picture u posted awhile ago showed that u where in a mission. u can't move when u are in a mission.
u notice that because you only see the "quit" button. so u know if you are in map-mode (u see all the buttons, quest, inventory etc)and when u are in "text-mode", u only see "quit".

There's two. One is in the Foundry with the iron bars and such on the left. The other is in the Net Cafe

quick question, while searching through the thread I saw a changelog about an NPC that tells you who's a friend and who's a traitor. Will the game tell me about them or do I have to look for them?

did u download the fix I posted? theres a bug in the minigame script. so the buttons are not working properly.
