While I'm usually one to downplay the Abandoned tag as just website rules, it is strange that this dev would spend this long without saying anything. Ironically, I'm far more confident in the tag being a false flag when the dev already has a history of disappearing but releasing updates.

This dev used to be pretty active, so I'm guessing something must be indeed halting the development. The best we can hope for is that it's temporary I guess. Would hate to see the game gone for good.

Abandoned tag is because of the rules obviously. Otherwise there is usually some statement at the OP-post "i'm burned out, i'm tired, family, work, you gibe me too small moneyz boo hoo" all that crap, which is not there at the moment.
I hope it stays that way, game is really good, I'd like it to live again.

Yeah, just look at Amity Park for example. The game had been abandoned for almost a year (if I remember correct), before the guy reappeared and came up with zillion of excuses. Even his own creative team walked out on him, but the game is still (barely) alive, receiving approx. 1 update/year.

You would think that when a dev has a good game going that has a lot of support they would lock in and try to finish it, but I fall for it every time

Man, if only the dev hadn't ignored their subscribers for 4 months they wouldn't have that tag till they release something.
Agreed, I just saw the message on Patreon, hopefully he can deliver.
