The game is worth $0 in it's current state, it's literally a super super early demo, it's charity work just like it always is with patreon artists. I'm sorry but as an indie developer i just cannot fathom the amount of privilege artists have, i went through hell working 12 hours every day for months (for some people it's years) to release my first game and finally start earning money, while these guys just draw a couple images per month and ask for donations, not only that but people even defend them for doing it, lol.
I get it that not everyone can live on scraps for months or years until they can release their first game or whatever they are working on (for example if they have a family to feed), and that if there was no patreon we wouldn't have many of the cool games we have, but that's about it, it's like a grey zone where yeah, the game is awesome and it just cannot exist without external support from fans, but at the same time let's not act as if these people are some sort of saints that bless us with a 15$ monthly subscription for extra 5 minutes of content. It's just a charity, kind of like street musicians where you are not obligated to pay for listening to them, but they won't be there if everyone didn't pay. Except street musicians actually work full hours every day
I'm not being negative, i love kimkun, i'm just being realistic, i already made a comment about this earlier. Think about patreon as just donating to him instead of paying for the game. While it's cool he thanks his supporters by releasing his update earlier, i don't find it morally wrong to "leak" it, since it's an early demo anyway
