It's actually kinda annoying when a game receives tiny chunks of updates once every 2-3 months. This game is a year old already and so far it's ver 0.09 .. Imagine how many decades or centuries it would take for the dev to finally complete (ver 1.0) the game.. I'm guessing the dev is planning to leave behind this project for his grandchildren to finish
Small chunks are actually great for impatient people(which, judging by comments in some threads, are at the very least an incredibly vocal minority).
This dev took about 4-5 years to finish their previous(and first) game- the f95 thread appeared in 2021 and the game got released in 2023, plus for some time before 2021 updates were only available on their blog(going by my dodgy memory, at least another 2 years). I would expect a similar timeframe, especially since this one is made on a different engine(Unity) compared to the previous game- if they stuck to the previously used engine we could have expected a somewhat shorter development on account of dev not having to relearn engine from scratch.
At this point, patience is all we can and should have.

It's stupidly toxic comments like this that make devs give up.

Do you even have any idea on how long it takes to develop a decent game? Learning systems being used, creating or commissioning art for the game, implementing ideas (and coming up with them in the first place)

Just because there are some devs out there that have done the things you are saying doesn't mean every dev is like that.

Not to mention all the various other factors in life that can significantly reduce the time that can be used to actively work on development.

Personally, I prefer when devs take the 2-3 months (or longer) between updates as it usually entails a higher quality update, as opposed to the incredibly crappy quality of some updates that I've seen when dev's have catered to the impatient bozos that demand unnecessarily frequent updates.

tl;dr: Quality over quantity is always better in the long run.

If u feel annoying, you can just cut off your patreon paying and that's all. If you already not paying for him, than why the fuck are you being so mad at? If so, how fuckin toxic you are.

Another update and her ability to grab ledges is still just as bad. That's the one thing I'd say I currently hate about this game.

I think... you can't read?

I will try to explain this in a simple way. So... game development numbering is a funny thing as each director/producer/studio/etc has their own way of generating numbers. The system used for this game is one of the more common where I assume it's.... (version).(majorupdate)

That's to say... 0 = beta for version, 09 means ninth update forming 0.09. Which leads me to believe the developer expects somewhere between 9 and 99 updates in total until he produces version 1.00. This doesn't mean he will take 99 updates, just that he doesn't expect more than 99 updates. In other words... 0.09 could very well be the last update before the final version; he could go up as well, 0.14 or 0.15 could also be that last update. It's more reasonable to expect a lower number than 0.99 before the final version to be the last update than to assume that there will be 99 updates. Unless we are talking about a western developer milking patreon, then they will probably revise the number system to include additional updates after 99 so they can continue producing the game with small iterative updates.

Maybe you just have PTSD from buying into Western Developers too often like that Cloud Meadow game or Breeding Season?
