Yes, that's how it's set up, but not in terms of "if you're altruistic, you get Elsa, Taylor, and Olive all together". The suggestion is that you will eventually get locked out of the other six main girls. Even if that's not how it ends up, I tend to play individual saves when I like a game, because there will usually be different content when with just one girl.
I think event u are on the 3 LI,u can still have sex with other girls.Miri isn t on my love path but she sleep with MC.I still don't understand the role of some girls like lana and aurore, are they LI or just fuck buddy (aurore seem taking a like in the mc).U have isabelle also and fang.

Any locking out of paths has yet to be implemented, so we don't know for sure how it's going to go. At the moment, you can get pretty much every lewd scene on one playthrough - I think maybe the only ones locked out are the dreams, where you get one of the two, but can't get both.

Rose isn't my favourite. I like all of the main girls actually, except Samara isn't really my type (but I quite like her character), and Danielle who we haven't really seen enough of yet. Maybe overall, Miranda and Olive are my favourites. For looks there's Taylor and Elsa too, but I don't like their characters as much as Miri and Olive (yet?).

Sassy Girl by Hematite reviewed at version 1.0.0

Story - The writing here is not great by any stretch of the imagination. It's very messy and in a rush to get to "the good stuff" It's also juggling too many characters, and some take the foreground, while others just pop in as and when, making for a bit of a wonky and disjointed game. Ultimately, it is trying to be a little different from the usual tropes of this game and while pushing certain agendas, makes the pace of the game all over the place. Translation is all over the place too - there were several occasions where pronouns were wrong and often during the Lewd scenes, characters have a tendency of saying "oh Mom," which I do not know what was they were trying to say.

Renders - The renders here are not bad, for the most part, bar one, the characters have nice and realistic proportions, and even the one that doesn't isn't so over the top that it takes you out of the game and I think her over the topness is there to add visualness to her specific arc. There are several issues of clipping, but nothing major, mainly sleeves not behaving the way they should, Our environments are very limited, the majority of the game is spent in the office of the titualr magazine or the over the top MILFs house, we do venture out now and then, but the world doesn't feel massive. There does seem to be a horrible pink tinge when in the office reception, but other than that, the scenes are well lit. The animations are probably where this game shines; they are some great work, but there is better out there.

Characters - The game does try for character development, but thanks to the previously mentioned oacing issues, it misses the mark completely on most of the characters. With Janine, Miriam and Beatrice getting fleshed out the most - however, the game's main focus is on Miriam, and there are times Janine and Beatrice fall off the grid to resurface elsewhere later (similar to the other characters) It would be kind to refer to the remaining characters as filler, because even though that is essentially what they are, most do nothing but serve as a distraction. The relationship that develops between the MC and Miriam, while relying heavily on porn logic is probably the strongest in the game and without it the game would fall even further than it does.

Overall - This is a game that seemed to have a lot of potential, until it didn't - its main problem that the game seems to be in a rush to get to the content and forgets its and actual story and looses the build up - while I don't know if being a more of a slow burn would have helped here, slowing the pace down and focusing on character relationships rather than focusing on how to get the characters into bed would have helped. I didn't dislike this game, I just didn't like it as much as I thought I would given the premise it laid at that start, then swiftly moved away from by chapter three. Disapointed is a better feeling for me, its a shame seeing good potential wasted by poor execution.

Story - The premise here is quite a good one and is actually a nice little way to get round the "magic cock" or "porn logic" problems a lot of games have - however it is executed a bit poorly. Pacing is a massive issue here, and the game often seems in a rush to info dump, build lore or provide a set-up for something yet to come. As a result, the game feels very choppy and somewhat jumpy. There are a lot of things here just thrown at you sometimes at speed, and at times, you do get a feeling of "WTF is happening here?" That being said, the writing is actually quite solid - I didn't see any noticeable typos, punctuation seems on point, and all that early confusing set up is sort of coming to fruition. Despite the fact that we get choices, they are merely there to say yes or no to some girls. For now, this game is largely kinetic. This might change in the future, but I doubt it.

Renders - The renders here are not at the top end of the scale; some games have managed to reach that level recently, but they still hold up well. There are girls of all shapes and sizes. I especially appreciate the effort the developer has put into giving each one different nipples, which adds to the individuality of the girls. There are many bustier women here, mainly the Milfs, so unfortunately there are a few cases of clothing wrap on those types of models. Most, if not all, of the women here are well presented, realistically proportioned, and very attractive. The environments themselves are okay; there are at least two you might recognise from another popular school game and a few others from different titles, but overall they are used well. The night scenes, however, could use some improvement. There were four occasions while playing this where I had to turn up the brightness on the screen because I simply couldn't see anything.

Characters - There are a lot I won't lie, and they come at you thick and fast, the dev has cleverly blended the two genres of Landlady and college games together here and produced something that kind of works so we have the usual tropes of your hot mom, hot sisters, hot teachers and hot classmates - due to a actual plot point of the game malepresence for all the woman is actually quite limited so we have a convenient reason why when our MC pops onto the scene they are all hot for him - though I will admit, there's is no real reason why the family are som comfortable being naked around our MC. There are a few characters getting character development here and there, the MC is obviously getting the most of it as he comes to terms with and learns about his new position in this strange world. There is a sister who is becoming sexually active and has obviously chosen the MC as a guide to this new world, we have a lesbian step mom who has suddenly decided she did not have the joys of youth and is craving cock and a long distance gf who has decided she doesn't want the distance to come between you and encourages you to sleep around. But a lot of the characters, while fun, are just there, not quite filler as they do serve a little purpose, but not really utilised either.

Overall - This was actually a pleasant surprise. Usually, I switch off from fantasy games quite early, but I found this one kept me interested enough to want to play more. At its core, it has a great idea for a story or premise, which makes for a decent game. However, it is somewhat frustrating because I don't think it's as good as it could be; there are a few things that let it down, not severely, but enough to cause some frustration. The pacing feels off, and while I understand the need to lore dump to make other elements believable or to set up future scenes, there are better ways to do this that lead to a more earned payoff. The click-to-continue feature in the lewd scenes isn’t really necessary and feels more like a hindrance than a help. Overall, it’s a nice, fun little adventure, which is good, but it has been executed poorly and could be so much better.

I really like some of the future story points we get teased here - a couple of which you mentioned and which could be pretty hot! Some of the characters I'm not so keen on, like Jules and Alexis, but the part they play in the story worked well for me and made me interested in their story too.

June In View

I wont lie after the busy month that was May, I went into June thinking I would have a quiet month, to some degree I did –Still, while I cant promise I wont have a busy month like May again, I prefer how I have done it this month and will try to continue that going forward… I think I can appreciate the games a bit more this way.

The start of the month was very quiet, with both New games and updates. The second half of the month was a bit of a different story, with a few more releases that kept me busy. There was an unusually high amount of new AI games that dropped this month, which made me consider a new category for the Fappies, but more on that later. For now, let's see what June brought us, shall we?

New Games

The Good Family – I swear I’m going to have to make some sort of ruling in regards to criteria for New games – the first one of the month, and it's a typical 5-minute wonder. Although the premise is laid down a bit here in both the synopsis and the start of the game. Time will tell if it can deliver on anything, though.

Life at Windvale – This was a great debut; there was some length to this introduction, a nice lewd. The art here seems consistent enough. It does seem that we are getting a nice swinging game than the normal NTR/NTS games these AI things produce… One to watch at least.

Veils of Lies - I tried to get far in this one, I really did, but the dodgy translation and the filter that was applied to the renders made it a bit more painful than I thought it was worth.

The Best Wife – This was a bit of a weird one, its nothing we haven’t seen before in the AI games, maybe has the potential to be a bit different story wise, but the art is very hit and miss. There are times the backgrounds are not 2d animated, but rather a 3d render or stock photo. It really makes the character stand out.

Happy Trip – The dev was kind enough to set the scene at the start, so I feel I cant be too mean when it comes to the AI art of this game, which, to be fair, isn’t too bad. The grammar, however, is a little bad, and there’s no real excuse. Other than that, the premise is set here, and we have a couple setting out on a road trip with friends. NTS/NTR will obviously follow. I simply don’t think this will get up there with the likes of Shadows or My New Girlfriend, and I don’t think I have the energy to try. Maybe in a few updates

Paths Unwritten – I cant say too much about this one to be fair, though it wasn’t exactly a 5-minute wonder, it didn’t have much meat to bones. The art seems somewhat consistent, well there was one image that was really out of place, and there were times that the characters looked wrong against back grounds. No actual story to the game yet, but I am willing to see where it goes.

Locked up with them, the art is sort of constant, but only because the characters rarely change poses, when they do, there is some changes that you really need to look for – such as a badge changing style, hair colour changing. It isn’t too bad a story, a man gets locked up in an all female prison, so you can imagine where this is going, but I’ll need a few updates before I can say for sure if its good or not...

Soft Noise – Bit of weird one this, not the normal 5 minute wonder we normally get, but it is a showcase of nothing. The story is somewhat disjointed, showing various stages of a relationship developing between some forced roommates. I am not sure what direction the dev is even going to go or wants to, but I get nothing from this.

Secrets and Promises – So I actually enjoyed the devs' first game boxed in, so I was more than willing to check this one. The renders aren’t great, but they’re not bad either. I got Reacher vibes from the story at first, but this seems to have subsided by the update end. There seems to be an interesting story here, whether the dev will crack it is another story

The last Picture – This one was another weird one, not exactly a 5-minute wonder, but it wasn’t long either. While I can't say anything bad about the renders, the pacing was all over the place here. There could be a nice dark story here, but our dev is insistent on getting us to the lewds, so character development and world building has gone, instead its just a fast paced, disjointed mess.

Bargain of Power – So a family NTR game, that’s a rare one. Erm, not much to say here as we barely scratch the surface, Dev needs to decide if we are English (boot) or American (Drapes), the renders could do with work too, I mean that basement must be deep, it's like a Church Floor down there! Anyway, I don’t think I’ll be continuing with this, as much as I like Fantasy, it rarely works in AVNs

What We Leave Behind – I am not sure what this game is trying to be. It has freeroams with out the roaming, a clunky UI, the renders are great, but sometimes the girls are not. This one could have potential, it might not, despite the length, we got it's hard to tell – Still, this is how you debut a game, not the 5-minute wonders we usually get

Wedding Roaming – This was always going to be a must-play, given how much I enjoyed our devs' first game – this is ultimately more of the same, but it is done so much better. We are not married this time, but suddenly, a couple finds themselves separated, and NTS/NTR begins. The dev has improved a bit since the last game, as evident by the way this one's told – I’m definitely not put off by this and look forward to it

Awakening Phone – Fuck me it finally happened! A Cuckquean AI game, tis about time. Ive always said for a long time these mobile phone games have been told from the wrong side, so its nice to see a game with the correct protagonist. The art here seems consistent enough, though it's a phone game, so images are few and far between. The story is nothing we haven’t really seen before from the other side, but I am at least curious to see where this goes.

The Laws of Power – okay so I cant tell if this is going to be a School Game or a Landlady game. The tags would suggest it's some bastardisation of them both. The current story only seems to suggest that choices will matter; what we can stem from that remains to be seen. The renders are well below average. It is our devs' first game, so I can give him a pass for the grain and amateur look. However the robotic poses I can not. The scene at the airport looked ridiculous. Reading the forum, this may get better in future, but this gave me nothing to want to play the next part.

Updates

Shadows of Ambition – This game has been on my one to watch for some time, not any more! It finally got a review here. Looking forward to seeing more from this game.

Rika’s Lustful Duty – Well I am happy this one is appearing regularly on this list – always good when games get regular updates. Nothing to much to say about this, I like how this is a lot different from the above game as there’s no corruption from an overly horny promiscuous best friend. It's just a couple finding their kinks and exploring them naturally. I don’t know how much legs this one has, but we shall see.

Rediscovering Maria – I can't really say any more about this than I said way back in March – the game is still setting the pieces in play, and there are plenty of options open to where this can go. It looks like the next day is going to be interesting, I think and will be a telling chapter.

My Girlfriends Travel – This one is getting regular updates now, though nothing seems to be happening at the moment. I don’t think it is quite as good as some of the others in the same category, but nevertheless it's still a good one to play

Opening to Love – What a difference a few updates make. I actually missed the last one, and I am not sure as to why, but since the last time I played, the game has somewhat improved. Its got a nice little story going, the ar,t although AI is good and the pace is flowing nice. I won't lie, there are better AI games out there, but that shouldn’t mean we discount this one

My husband's Boss – I won't lie, I was somewhat worried about this one. Mainly because the how the dev hit the ground running with chapter 1, but my god did he deliver. I have said it before in some of my reviews and comments about this sub-genre of game, but it can be a tricky subject to navigate, and some just cant stick the landing or even the take off. There is a scene that sums this kind of kink perfect, and some might say its somewhat rushed or even a convenient plot device, it really sets up Vivian’s fall from Grace, or rather her acceptance. The only way is up from here.

Hillside – I feel like I was late to the party on this one. It's one of them that I hear mixed things about all the time. Well, you can read more about my thoughts here, but needless to as,y I enjoyed myself

Law School – Absolutely loving this game, despite the many different games of the college genre, this one tries to be different and succeeds. You can read more about my thoughts here.

No Big Deal – Disappointing update really after the great start we had back in march – got through it in about 5 minutes. You should not be putting updates out like this.

The Red Veil – This is a game that has undergone some changes apparently and what was once an anthology kind of game has become something more – I stayed clear of the “extra” scenes that have been left over as the dev suggest they may be used somehow – I didn’t dislike this, but I didn’t like it either. The story is there, and it could be very interesting… we shall see on this one

Shattered Dreams: Redemption - I think I missed an update on this one, not sure when, but never mind, all caught up. I played this back in February, and while it didn’t make my top 10, it scored above average. While this update wasn’t enough to bump the score at all, the game is moving at a reasonable pace, and it's quite enjoyable

Stay Online – This was a nice little game, overall it felt like it had more legs to it and could have gone on for a fair bit, but to be fair, it would have just been the same things over and over-perhaps correct to end it now. Honestly, these games are done better in an engine that’s not Ren’Py, but for what it was, it's a very enjoyable game

My Goddess – Not sure how to describe this game, its definitely a MILF game, but as to if there is any other genre behind it, I’m not sure. Possibly just a slice of life game, definitely incest, looking like a harem too. So far, it did nothing to turn me off. The renders are okay, the writing is a little sloppy, but not too bad. I'll watch this one anyway

Falling Undercover – Nox Syndicate - Nice little update, happy these are dropping on a monthly basis, the kink of the game is progressing nicely, a lot faster than the previous game. Liking this one

The Coven – A nice little find this, while not the greatest school game out there, it is perhaps the best fantasy game I have played. You can read more here.

Distant Vows – this is one that seemed to get lost or I didn’t finish it – either way there is no record of me playing it despite having previous saves – a typical AI NTR game, the art is fine most of the time, there are a few incosintancies but nothing major, just hairstyles here and there. The story is your basic cheating wife game, it moves a little fast to give content, far too fast, I think – I mean she cheats on her husband, immediately regrets it, calls it quits, only to do the same thing next episode. There are other games that approach this subject better but I am still willing to see where this goes.

Blast From the Past

I actually tried 4 games this month to try and find an old completed game to play, and while I didn’t get into 3 of them, I did find enough interest in Sassy Girl to play it to completion – you can read more about it here.

The Fappies

Best New Game of the Month – This was down to two games this month, What We Leave Behind and Wedding Roaming and all though I wasn’t sure what to make of What We Leave Behind, I can appreciate that it is the better of the two games. As mentioned in the little review. It's how you do a New Game

Best Updated Game of the Month – this was a hard choice, really there were multiple games that I thought about giving it too, but there was only one game I really I played the update for, so the others could be considered to be judged unfairly – still Law School deserved it. It's nice when we get nice meaty updates that take time to get through

Best New 2D Game of the Month – There were a lot of AI games that came out this month, so I thought this would be a difficult choice. Indeed, it wasn’t. The one that always stuck out to me when I thought about it was Life at Windvale. Look forward seeing where this one goes

Best Updated 2D game of the Month – I didn’t have to think about this one at all – Shadows of Ambition got it hands down. Our dev is cooking up something special here, and I am really looking forward to where this one goes.

Janine - Sassy Girl.jpg

Best Lewd Scene
– I was worried about this category this month, when I sat down to start typing it up I hadn’t actually played The Coven –but that orgy scene with Sura, Gwen and Hannah was fantastic. It deserves the accolade.

Worse New Game – I thought about giving this to veil of lies, but that may be a bit unfair given I did not actually finish that one so I cant comment on the thing as a whole – one I did get through though and the one that gets the award is Soft Noise – its a shame because its probably the longest AVN I played this month, but it seriously lacks the adult part of it.

Worst Update – No contest really, and I was disappointed with No Big Deal really because it was it serious contention for New Game of the Month back in March. Shame, but any update that barely moves the story along and can be done in a grand total of 5 minutes is simply bad.

Yeah, that mini-orgy in The Coven was a good one - I like how there are a lot of variations in the scenes, even if it can make them feel a bit formulaic after a while. Gwen is top as well as Sura though, and Hannah's not bad either, so it definitely worked!

You know the Coven changed a fair bit of the Fappies this month, for the most of it I was sure Charlotte was going to get awarded Gold... then Well Sura took that crown, To be fair if I didn't have a one girl per game rule that game could have filled the tiers,

City of Broken Dreamers by PhillyGames Reviewed at Version 1.15.0

Story - The plot here is compelling; there's genuinely an interesting narrative; however, it's hampered by pacing problems. I personally found the first few chapters very slow and struggled to become engaged. There was just something missing, that element that draws you in. Things eventually escalate, and the story seems to be turned up to 11, but considering the issues with the initial chapters, my investment felt quite limited. What's also unhelpful is that, just as the plot seems to find its rhythm, it is suddenly interrupted by 1-3 lewd scenes, which, although well-executed, don't contribute to the plot at all. - Finally, despite the presence of choices here, it is predominantly kinetic; most roads lead to Rome, and the choices mainly determine which LI you pursue or how you intend to engage with them.

Renders - Visually, the game is absolutely stunning, with some really impressive models and well-executed details, including but not limited to tattoos and nipples. There are a few overly busty female characters, and for the most part, their clothing does not warp to them. I think it would be hard to find a girl who isn’t appealing. Regarding the environments, our developer has created a dystopian world that not only sets the tone but also establishes the mood. While certain scenes in the game require a dark atmosphere, the lighting has been quite well handled. Where appropriate, there is a lively influx of NPCs; for example, the clubs our protagonist visits are not conveniently deserted, which adds realism to the world. The animations are where this game really excels, particularly in the cut scenes that advance the story. As for the lewd scenes... well, they can appear somewhat stiff and jerky during those moments.

Characters - Our MC is pretty depressing to be honest and we are slowly spoon-fed the reason why in scattered deposition that would be better told with a designated flashback chapter - the big reveal comes far too late in the story to hit any emotional landing and should have come much earlier so we can understand his drive. I believe there are 5 main LIs, but with the amount on the scene, it was really hard to tell. One of them just seems to pop in and out when the plot demands it, the others all seem to have a convenient role to fill in "The Last Stand" None of them really get the development to understand why they want to be there at the end, there are definitely characters that feel a bit like filler, a bit under developed and very hollow.

Overall - I struggled with this game quite a bit. I believe I attempted to play it four times before actually finishing it. Once I got past the initial four chapters of setup and lore dump, it wasn't actually a chore to play, but I did feel it was a bit of a letdown at the end. The game ultimately suffers from pacing issues and struggles to find its identity throughout the entire experience. It doesn't help that when it seems to be getting going, the characters will just have sex for the sake of it, and the scenes feel very repetitive. If this was the direction the developer intended, they should have introduced a single love interest much earlier in the game rather than having us juggle all of them up until the end, at the cost of tension, intrigue, and character development. Overall, I feel that this game is a bit of a letdown. It has quite an interesting narrative but never quite reaches the heights it aims for, leaving a sense of underdelivery on its promises and a yearning for more. It is not a bad game by any means, but it's not as good as the ratings suggest.

Come Right Inn by FXLS Reviewed at Episode 3

Story - Here we have an AI game that isn't focused on NTR, which is actually quite welcomed. At its heart, we have a very simple and straightforward plot - the MC's sister went missing at a Hotel where she worked at and our MC has forced his way into a position there to investigate. It's certainly not going to win any Booker or Pulitzer Prize, but it is written in a nice straightforward way that keeps the plot moving and interesting and teases the right amount of interest. There are a few elements that feel a little cliche, but they are not done in an over-the-top way that will draw you out of your experience. I found, despite the cliche, it fits nicely into the overall narrative and helps to tell the story. It's nice that there are choices everywhere, though they are not as nicely summarised at chapter end as they could be, it certainly gives the feeling that the story will be and is decided by our actions

Art - The AI here seems to be using a different model to most other games and is quite refreshing. I found the art to be very consistent and very polished. I do not think this is just a case of putting in promts and using what comes out, great care has been used to keep continuity and believable characters. The models continue to have the correct number of limbs, hairs styles and colours remain on point, and there is no changing jewellery or clothing.

Characters - We have quite the selection characters here, wether it be the MILF hotel Owner, the Ice Queen Hotel Manager, the Ditxy Blonde receptionist with dreams of acting, a rebelus daughter of the hotel Owner, a barmaid with aspirations, and not forgetting the concierge who is clearly there for comic relief, but unfortunately, he's not that funny and his jokes rarely land. Each character is very different, and they are all bringing something to the story, some more than others. It is still early days at the moment, so development is a little limited at the minute, but it is nice to have such a nice range of characters.

Overall - This is by no means ever going to be the greatest game ever, but its not going to be the worst either. We have a nice little captivating story that is built around interesting characters and shown with nice polished AI art that adds together and helps to show the quality and pride the dev has put into this piece of work. It has some serious potential, to be one of the greates AI games.

Where It All Began by Ocean reviewed at Season 1 - Chapter 4

Story - This one has a bit of everything. It seems like the dev has thrown quite a few genres into a mixing bowl and used what came out. As a result, we have a jumble of genres: Slice of Life, Crime, Hotwifing, Incest (possibly), and Mystery. It doesn't quite work; although there is an underlying narrative, it feels very choppy, and the pacing is mismatched. At present, there doesn't appear to be any strong narrative pull, and it comes across as a bit of a convoluted mess. I'd say the dev was planting seeds and setting something up, but I don't think there's any evidence of that either.

Renders - The art here is wonderful; I can only assume there is a lack of effort in the writing because most of the effort seems to go into making this game visually stunning. Nearly all of our LIs are beautiful and executed to a very high standard. While a few women are a tad on the overly busty side, I haven't seen any real issues with clothing warping, and everything fits well. The remaining characters appear to have nicely proportioned, realistic features. There are several environments, including but not limited to the MC's Home, a few Bars, a Farm, and various outdoor scenes. For the most part, they are lit beautifully, creating a lovely ambience, and where necessary, filled with NPCs to add more depth to the world. Honestly, if images alone could sell this story, it would be one of the best.

Characters - The characters are let down by poor writing and forced situations. There is some character development, even some parts actually giving deposition of the histories these characters have, but a few of the girls are essentially the same - they are bitchy and unpleasant towards our MC. The two sisters, for example, hate our MC for leaving home a few years ago, and both treat him coldly on his return; there is an ex-girlfriend who does the same. The remaining characters were thrown at us with such pace, it's really hard to single any of them out, which seems extra weird when you consider how slow the actual relationships then develop.

Overall - I understand this has undergone a bit of a rework, and opinions are currently mixed to negative regarding the results. I have never actually played the game before, nor have I played the Devs' first game, so I approached it with a fresh perspective, you might say. The game did nothing to deter me, though it also didn't do anything to draw me in. It was a very underwhelming experience, to say the least. It is without doubt a very flashy game with beautiful, attractive women, but it is let down by an underwhelming narrative that is so slow-paced it feels stalled. I don't mind a slow burn, but for a game that has been in development for seven years, I expected better, and I can't pretend there isn't a better written game on this platform. It’s one I might revisit, but I am in no rush.

How to Fix the Future by mr.moonmi Reviewed at Version 0.4

Story - The core of the story is intriguing enough, with some great lore that hints at an interesting premise... but the execution falls somewhat flat. I'm unsure if it's a pacing issue or something else, but at times it feels like the story is heading somewhere only to suddenly pull back, leaving it to go absolutely nowhere. There are many small side stories meant to build mystery within the overall narrative, but they don't contribute much to the central theme beyond establishing familiar tropes typical of dystopian and sci-fi stories. The dialogue also tends to drag; it's unnecessarily long, repetitive in places, and poorly written, which makes the slow build even more sluggish and occasionally painful.

Renders - Overall, the game is beautiful, with impressive render quality and character models, even if some seem somewhat generic. Most, if not all, of the girls are very attractive, with excellent use of texture and tones. Most of the girls are well proportioned, with the developer favouring larger busts over smaller ones. There were no major clipping issues that I noticed, and only one character experienced the inevitable clothing warp associated with larger busts. Environments could improve. For a game intended to be set in the future, it seems odd to have a classroom straight out of the 2000s or a cafeteria that resembles a burger shop commonly seen in other games. For the most part, aside from one scene, the game uses lighting effectively, creating a pleasant sense of atmosphere. The animations are generally well executed; although a few scenes featured overly fluid movements and clothing that shifted oddly, overall, I cannot fault them.

Characters - There is a significant choice at the start of the game that determines whether our MC will be "Dark, Neutral or Light," and his personality largely stems from that. He fits the typical trope of a "chosen one" well—suddenly having the fate of the world thrust upon him and accepting it without question or motivation. Aside from one scene, he doesn't play the "chosen one" card at all and actually appears as a rather weak character. For the supporting cast, we have a nice selection including our MC's best friends, an emotionally unstable girl with clear issues from her past, and the token black man who is also disabled. There's a fiery redhead with a somewhat eccentric personality, a Milf character with power issues, her Asian 'slave," and an institutionalised soldier girl. Despite this diverse range of characters, some do not develop much beyond their initial introduction. The game also keeps pushing certain LIs on you, even if you have clearly refused them.

Overall - I am a bit of an impass with this game, while I usually get "turned off" from Sci-Fi games very fast, I played this one to completion with no actual urge to call it quits. I think the game has a wonderful premise that has perhaps been wasted and executed a bit wrong, don't get me wrong, it has some great things going for it, like being able to accept or avoid kinks you do and do not like, a narrative that's been thought about, even if its a bit drawn out, choices that actually matter and branch off into different places. I wouldn't say I expected better, as I went in expecting nothing. But for such an interesting and somewhat unique premise, I want more than mediocre dialogue, questionable story telling and a bit more depth than we actually get.

Chasing Sunsets by Stone Fox Studios Reviewed at 1.10a

Story - We have a very strong character-driven story with some quite serious undertones. The writing is well-paced and cleverly intertwines the three main characters with intriguing questions and mystery, knowing when to answer them and when to introduce more. It results in a powerful narrative that can, at times, really move you and tug on your heartstrings. However, it can be a bit tropey and occasionally predictable, with certain points that could do with editing; for example, the prologue was needlessly long, and chapter 1, although designed to introduce the characters, could have been much better. I seriously questioned the MC's motives given the event that just occurred. That said, the positives far outweigh the negatives, resulting in an engaging plot that should captivate interest throughout.

Renders - We have high-quality renders throughout, though some might argue they improve as the game progresses; they are, by far, above average from the start. There is a lack of diversity among the women; while each appears different, they all seem cut from the same cloth—fit and toned with, not massive, but prominent, assets. I noticed no noticeable clipping, and clothing deformation was virtually non-existent. The game features rich environments, with many locations that enhance the narrative. They are beautifully lit and well-constructed, though occasionally empty, with plot-driven reasons for scenes featuring only two characters in a restaurant or just our MC in a bar. Animations are very well-executed, only improving as the game advances, with movements flowing smoothly.

Characters - At its core, the game features three primary characters—our MC and the two main love interests. There are many other characters, some of whom could be considered love interests, but the game is designed with your choice between the two main love interests in mind. These characters receive the most development, and although the extent and quality of that development may vary depending on your choices, all are beautifully crafted. The story explores relationship struggles as the two-step siblings grapple with their troubled past while reuniting after tragedy, or as an orphan girl comes to terms with her origins and identity. These themes are handled beautifully and enrich the narrative. That said, the remaining characters are less developed, which can sometimes make it harder to invest in them.

Overall - I believe I can appreciate this game more than most. I was somewhat late to the party, but experienced the complete journey, as the game has been essentially "finished" for some time now, and people may have felt somewhat underwhelmed by the ending. Nonetheless, as a whole product, it works. I found the game truly engaging, filled with pop culture references and rewarding for those willing to take risks. While some may be disappointed by the lack of explicit content, kinks, or overall 'vanillaness,' you should understand that this isn’t what the game is about. It isn’t a lewd-focused game with a story tacked on; rather, it uses nudity and adult themes skilfully to complement the story. It's a shame that the focus is primarily on just two love interests, which, combined with the nearly kinetic pacing of the plot, limits replayability. Nevertheless, it is a beautifully crafted game that deserves the praise it often receives. I believe it is a must-play for any AVN enthusiast.
