Creativity is dying and we're killing it.
No shit electric guitars didn't kill acoustic guitars. They didn't act as replacements. An electric guitar sounds completely different from an acoustic guitar and it has a different purpose. In what way does "AI art" differ from digital art? It's a simulacrum/mimicry of things that already exist. It doesn't bring its own thing like the electric guitar does, that makes it stand out to the acoustic guitar. It's only meant to enable thieves to mimic the artists they targeted so they can circumvent the need to pay them. The bs people come up with to excuse this nonsense is hilarious sometimes, either that or you're not very smart. It's not a bad thing. Electric guitars didn't kill acoustic guitars, photoshop and cellphone cameras didn't kill photography, and digital art didn't kill oil paintings. Art by artists will always have its place, and AI tools make getting art accessible for devs without paying an arm and a leg.
