Unity - Completed - Last Evil [v3.0.1] [Flametorch]

As people mention before, this is basically a hentai version of Slay The Spire. It was quite fun though I had a few hiccups here and there, but overall it was good.

    AS OF V1.5.1

    Pros:
+ A hentai game with gameplay like Slay the Spire, which is something I have never seen before, so I consider it a big plus.

+ You can customize your character to look whatever the way you want it to see. Nothing better than creating the perfect looking woman for you just to see her be ravaged by monsters lol

+ H-Scenes are animated and voiced

    Cons:
    - The game is poorly optimized. Many times did I lost a lot of time because it froze mid-combat and I had to restart. This is a big problem because of the next point.

    - The saving mechanic is weird. It seems like it only saves when you close the game through the menu, so if your game freezes or closes out of nowhere, you pretty much lose all the progress you did. Hopeful the developer adds an auto saving mechanic on the last version.

-Limited number of cards = limited card deck building variations. The fun of these kinds of games is being able to build a different deck each time you play it, with a great synergy between the cards and relics. this game doesn't has that.

-At the moment, the game is too easy. You can get really strong on the first floor and basically just go on a killing spree. It is so easy in fact that I beat it without basically any talent points, the only ones I used were 2 for the Enlightement skill which only gives an experience bonus at the end of the game. An approach similar to Slay The Spire, in which you are limited to the path you choose, would be a better way to prevent players from becoming OP.

-This isn't really anything negative but just an opinion. The h-scene's controls are good and all but it is missing some features that would've made them a lot better, things like x-ray or transparent male characters.

-It lacks story. I'm guessing the developer is a fan of Slay The Spire, and that game too have a quite vague lore but in this case, this game is TOO VAGUE. It almost has no story.

Overall it is a "good" game, but at the moment it is not worth the cost of $9,99 (on steam).

This is a pretty dope turn based explorer card game in of itself, even without the sex stuff. The sex stuff is pretty good to boot.

It's rogue-like, with progression of passives post restarting as your account levels up.
It has accumulation of passive items like in Binding of Isaac.
The numerophilia for stats is good and even in the 1st try I found multiple builds being possible.
It's definitely luck-based more so than skill based, but you get plentiful of ways to weigh it in your favor as you often get a choice of rewards.

I'd not only play it, I'd buy this game.

The game is a legitimately good video game separate from the porn content. I found myself playing it for the sake of the actual game rather than the porn content itself. Once you've got the hang of it and have a couple of upgrades it's not terribly difficult an it's a little short, but the first few run throughs of the dungeon while you learn the system are really enjoyable.

I would love to see this game get developed further just for the sake of the gameplay alone. This was a really unexpected surprise and delight.

Slay The Spire goes porn ... is the shortest possibilty to describe this game.

Card based combat and deck building ... i love it. It's a REAL game and it is addictive, even though the number of enemies and cards are somewhat limited.

I favor games that are games in the first place and only add some adult content. This game did an excellent job in doing so.
The succubus theme works well and you don't have to lose to see sex scenes, unlike in most other similar games.

There is one huge downside, the game is way too easy. I only lost once against the final boss, that's it. And the longer you play, the easier it get's because of the talent point system. The talent points are nice, don't get me wrong, they help a lot with wanting to play again and again to get XP.
Because for the low difficulty of the otherwise excellent game, i give it only 4 stars.

PS: For those who have an old Computer like me, the game won't run as smooth as you would like too, but once in the game, you can lower graphics and it is playable (at least for me).
PSPS: I bought the game on steam and it seems there will be a hard mode soon, therefore i change my rating to a five.

Again, the 4 star here means 9/10...since this website can't give a half star rating.

Have you ever play a porn game so addicting, you want to skip the porn part so you can play more?
Well to me, this is the one.
Hell, I actually bought it on Steam, which this review will have some reference to the new mechanics in the later version.

Now don't get me wrong, the porn part is fine...is just the core gameplay is so good in porn game standard.

When you consider most other (completed) porn game is some RPG or graphic adventure games, with porn.
...or those with more action related gameplay and sims often stuck in development forever.

So this is a- I think I can borrow the overview for this one:
"Last Evil is a rogue-like strategy card game with mature contents. You have to go down to the deepest dungeon and wake up the Great Demon.
Collect powerful spells, defeat those who are blocking your way, and collect their essences to explore the dungeon."

The story is kinda nonexistence otherwise, I will just assume since you play as a succubus, so it makes sense to be with the evil overlord I think?
As 2.0.0 update (on Steam), they made the story more clear:
Short and non-spolier version: Revenge, to humanity.

But anyway, how is the gameplay? Well as mentioned before, this is a card-based combat game with some dungeon crawler elements. Every play through is a randomly generated dungeon layout.
Before the game start, there is a skill tree you can permanently upgrade yourself (if you have the points) and can choose one out of two buffs/debuffs.
In-game, You (I mean the player character) go from room to room through the map screen, combating slime, bandits, goblins, guards, knights, demons, etc.
Using a turn base, card(spell) base combat system which you draw like 5 cards(spells) from your deck with two different categories: Mana and lust.
Mana is basically "action points" in Xcom, represents how many actions you have per tern. Different card uses different amounts of Mana.
While lust is not bound by the mana meter and can use anytime as long as it is your turn, and you have the lust point to use them, which you get during combat.

Then after you win, you get a new random spell as loot and can either get their "essence" via magic.
Or fuck them till you get them out...you get more using the later method (and you got sex scene), but you lost all the lust point. Which can be carried from encounter to encounter.
The essence functions mainly as currency to buy spells from the merchant you can find randomly in the dungeon, to "heal yourself more" in the resting area...or be better "friends" with the merchant, to get discount.
There is also the "mystery room" which sometimes you get random encounters, events that either give buffs or hurts you, and treasure room that has treasure chests contain buffs.

Then there is the champion room, with a harder enemy encounter, and finally the boss room. Which you need to defeat to advance to the next floor of the dungeon.
It is worth mentioning except for the boss room, all of the rooms are optional...well not really since you need to at least move a straight path to the boss room, assuming you know where it is. But it is more recommended to clear a whole floor worth of rooms before tackling the boss since you need the loot to buff yourself.

So far, this sounds like a "real game", like this game exists not simply because of porn, but a normal game that can stand on itself even without the porn.
    Yes, It is.
So what is the damage? Why only 4 stars?

Well, the difficulty of this game is all over the place though out the different versions.

I remember when the first time I download this game in an earlier version, the dungeon has a completely different floor layout, and you can only select one of two-room to go to at the time...lead to less combat encounter in the same level of enemies, less loot and buffs, which make the game severely harder.
The dungeon crawler nature means every defeat give experience that you can upgrade yourself in the next play, but since this version of the game is so brutally hard, the progression becomes extremely slow I throw it aside after half a dozen games never actually winning any.

The current version (1.5.1 as this is written) is significantly well balanced, and the dungeon map has been retooled. Mean you can actually clear a whole floor and get the necessary items before facing the boss...but that sort of only applied to the "sweet spot" between your first play and your twentieth play.
Basically, I mean after enough play and you get the right seven or eight upgrades, you can easily mop the floor with even the final level boss as long as you know what you are doing...I know the game isn't finished, and the final level is only the second one, but still. This has become way too easy the longer you play, maybe future updates with new floors will fix this.

Speaking of which, Steam version (1.6.1) has the exact opposite problem compared to the early version I played.
Due to the nature of the save, I can't port the F95 version save to the Steam version. I decide to regrind my progress back...only to clear the final boss (so far) in a mare three tries with like two permanent upgrades from the skill tree.
I mean, there is a slight chance I have become a better player through all the game I have in the f95 version...but otherwise, this is way too easy. Maybe it is to prepare for the next floor update will have harder enemies. So they soften the first two floors, but still.

5/29 Update: 2.0.0 version (Steam) adds a third floor (and the above spoiler story part), which causes a massive difficulty spike.
Granted, I am still only sporting the little upgrades I have, that probably need changing...

The other minor problem I have is with the gallery, some scene you need to (purposely) lose to unlock...which I find kinda unreasonable.
A lot of them are higher tier enemy defeat scene. This means I have to spend a long time getting to them, and in order to get their scene, now I have to be defeated? I come this far just to get a beat down?
Plus a lot of them are randomly encountered, you don't know you will meet this one until you meet them. Especially with the bosses: So apparently I got so far, just to get purposely beat down by a boss and let him pound me in order to unlock his scene? It just feels not worth it.
To be fair, it makes sense for you to get the scene when you, well, get one. But can't they make you get both if you win?
Or make the surrender button don't instantly end the game...oh yeah there is a surrender button. You click it, you get defeated scene, you game over...then what is the difference then just got defeated in battle?
How about make the surrender button not end your game?
Instead, you lost all your buffs, and, I don't know, half of your health or essence? While also get the scene, then the game moves on?

Tl;dr, great card combat dungeon crawler game with sex scenes, with balance issue here and there, plus mandatory lost if you want the full gallery.

Finally to end this review, here is a scenario I actually encounter in-game:

I really enjoyed this game is already in my Steam library!! (It's better than most Patreon games out there.) With the card system and with all the other fleshed out game mechanics, I think this is the most game-like game promoted on this site!!

The grinding doesn't really bother me that much but for some other people who just wants sex scenes, it might be annoying for them.

Absolutely one of the best games i've seen so far..

Author is claiming that this version, 1.51, is just an alpha but there is already a ton of content to play, really a lot of cards with unic effects and unic mechanics that the game per se may already be considered a full release. It is a bit short, but as it was sad before this is just in alpha state...

Sex scenes are animated and you can get them during battle, after battles you've won and after battles you've lost! They are easily skippable if one wants to and there is also a gallery.

Gameplay seems to be complicated at first but after a brief tutorial and a few battles you'll immediatly get the grasp of the game and all the cards and status effects are well explained if u stop with your mouse on them.

    11/10 recommended!

Nice game with good and simples mechanics, mays have to change one or 2 things in the H animation that seems a bit rought or orbotic at somme point but overall a good game fun to play and to watch. It got potencial.

Much like slay the spire, but the cards and play styles are still pretty interesting. I consider this a visually upgraded version with hentai in it.

Only thing this game is missing is more variation, but I feel like that will sort itself out soon, as the dev is going in the right direction from what I can see, they are very thorough in having lots of unlockable content, skill trees, monster/event variation and scenes.

I'm giving 5 stars because I can see this game has huge promise, and as it is, is a game you can spend multiple hours on and enjoy, even more if you're a perfectionist and want to see every single scene. I'll be sticking around for the finished version without a doubt.

I would give this a 5 star if it's not always repeating to start and have somewhat optimized game. (y)(y)(y)(y) Overall it's a great game, even without H content it's addictive and I would suggest having a keyboard control shortcut to attack because it's too hard to play on mouse only, it's tiring my arm.

As others have stated, this game is an almost exact reskin of Slay the Spire, with lewd elements. This means it's hard to praise the developer for their creativity, but at the same time I do LOVE Slay the Spire, so I never lost interest in the gameplay. Additionally, the polish in this game is amazing. It already has mouse-over tooltips, pretty smooth animations, and even a character editor. The developer is obviously skilled.

The reason I'm less than amazed by this game is because it feels VERY tonally confused. When you win in battle, you can drain your opponent's essence with a predetermined sexual act, and this is always shown in a 3 part animation loop of that act. Aside from this, and some skill names, there isn't really anything erotic going on in the game. As of version 1.5.1, there's no story or dialogue aside from very brief summaries to set up some of the random encounters. None of your opponents have any history with the protagonist, so you feel nothing when you defeat them or when you suck their soul (hell, there isn't even enough exposition to inform you if you ARE draining their life force). This lack of emotional connection and imersion between the player and the story not only makes it impossible to care about any of the non-erotic action in the game, it also makes it impossible to be aroused about any of the sex scenes. The result is that every sexual event in the game feels sterile and forced. Instead of saying, "Aw yeah. It's a win/loss scene. I can't wait to see what happens with this enemy," I'm already impatient by the third scene and just skipping the scenes so I can play with my deck and see more fights.

In its current state, this game is an excellent erotic reskin of a stolen IP, but it desperately needs a writer to give it life.

Amazing game, got it for the animations, but as I progressed I've found myself really enjoying the entire game. It has a surprisingly deep combat, a nice little level system and its just fun to progress through the dungeon. The animation are really nice as well of course and they feel rewarding since you mostly get them for playing good. I'm really looking forward for more content!

I liked it's system of exploration, it's combat just feels like a regular most of time definitely not boring dungeon crawler. The progression, that definitely isn't too fast paced and leaves plenty of room for far longer runs to explore unique skills with immediate impact. About the artwork I'd simply say that it is nice. The user-interface works and is easy to figure out. If I had to sum up in one sentence what I liked about it the most it would be this: Last Evil is putting the "game" back into h-game.

Excellent Game Play, Provides Challenge and Entertainment While also Hitting all the Adult Spots, Good Animations with Ability to Skip After they Become Repetitive.. This Game Could, if it Continues Down its Current Path, become a Real Gem.

This is Slay The Spire with a lightly customizable succubus character and really nice sex scenes. Highly recommend!

If you never played Slay The Spire, it's a highly addictive rogue like card game.
Last Evil is much like it with a couple of new mechanics like cards which you can only use when your lust meter is full and sucking "essence" out of your defeated foes by common means, which are pretty fun to look at.
There are also different animations based on if you lost or won your encounter.
If the amount of cards and combos gets bigger with the final release, I will definitely buy this game.

This is my only review on this site just because this game excels by having absolutely great game mechanics AND really nice sex scenes which is super rare in h-games.

Come because you are horny, stay because you want to build the best deck!

Pretty similar to Slay the Spire, but with more sexy times. Definitely recommend following this as it develops. Minor character customization included and 2 zones at time of review 03/13/2020. Personally would recommend a +power or +bleed build to get through current content.

game is actually more fun than expected, came for the sex stayed for the game. a few more customization options would be desireable, for example changing the colors of the wings and tail or adding/ changing visible accessories.

When I downloaded Last Evil I was not expecting anything. It was the first version posted on this forum so I assumed it would serve more as a tech demo than an actual game. It is very similar to Slay the Spire. It is a turn based card game with rouge like elements.

Once you get past the loading screen you have the choice of starting a New Game which equals a new run. Continue, look at the gallery, customize your character, look at stats from your past runs and tweak around in the settings.

The gallery is very large, although I haven’t filled out much of it. There could be some color swap monster there, but for the most part you have a large collection of animation in cg’s.

With Customize you can alter the appearance of your character to a certain degree. You can change the hairstyle which is separated in front and back hair and its color. They eyes, where you can change the color of the iris the actual eye color and you can change the pupils to another type. You also have the option of heterochromatic eyes. Last but not least is the most important option for many people and that is the ability to change the size of the breasts.

If you are a fan of inflation I would highly suggest you check out the settings before you start a run. It’s deactivated by default. You can also mess with graphical and audio options there.

When you start a new game you find yourself on a nearly empty grid with only one option to choose from to proceed. This will change after the first battle. There are many different encounters, like Treasure Chest, Random Events or battles against enemies.

At the start of the battle you draw six cards, every card has a play cost which is shown beside the name of the card. You have 3 playpoints you can use per turn. When you have no more cards in hand or you can’t play anymore because of resource shortage you can end your turn, if you do that all of the cards in your hand get tossed into the graveyard and the enemy will attack or interact with your character in a certain way. Icons above their heads indicate what they will do in their turn so you can plan accordingly.

The game has its own mechanics that sets it apart from other games of this genre. You also have some good build variety I managed to play through the game with a defensive build that relies on the enemies to damage themselves by attacking and a bleed build that had some great burst damage.

As soon as your HP reaches zero your run is over. You get some Exp, which you can spend on passive upgrades.

The game explains everything in short tutorials which are presented to you in text boxes with a few sentences.

There is one thing that could have been handled better though and that ruins a lot of the rewards you should be reaping. While the gallery is large and has a lot of different things to offer you are very limited in your options once you select a scene. You can’t loop the animation and you can’t progress the act to the next segment. Your only choice is waiting it out and once it is finished you have to close the scene and reopen it to enjoy it again.

This will surely be implemented later on and for now the game has a lot of content to unlock and has some solid gameplay that you can enjoy for hours. Also the animations are very well done and look good so give it a try if this genre appeals to you.

This game was a huge surprise to me when I heard about it, and I was so disappointed that I missed it when it first came out, so when I saw it was available again I bought it instantly, and it beat all my expectations for it. Like other people have said, it's basically a porn version of Slay the Spire. You fight against enemies using a mana based card system, and over the course of each "run" you build up your deck using random spell drops with enemies, as well as other power-up artifacts in the style of games like Risk of Rain or Binding of Issac. The run continues until you either beat all the bosses, or lose a fight. While you don't keep your deck or items between runs you do earn experience to spend on talents to boost your stats and other things that make each successive run easier or different.
While the gameplay and animations are good, what really surprised me about the game was how much porn was already in it. Most of these kinds of games have a handful of enemies and one or two animations each, with a few cgs to go with them. Meanwhile Last Evil already has 60 unique animated scenes, with another 22 still image CGs. Nearly every enemy has at least two scenes, one for if you beat them and choose to drain their "essence", and one for if you lose to them. There's a fair amount of variations too, for example if you lost to a pair of goblins your game over scene is them DPing you, while if you defeated one of them before going down the scene will just be the remaining goblin having it's way with you. On top of the after-fight scenes there's an ability that lets you seduce enemies mid-fight, event scenes you can come across, and an NPC merchant you can sleep with to buy better spells from her.
There's a lot of nice QoL stuff too, like being able to customize your character to an extent (hair style/color, breast size, etc.), skipping seen animations, skipping foreplay animations, and having cum inflation enabled or disabled. While the game is early access, imo it already has far more content and effort put into it than a lot of the h-games you see on Steam nowadays. The fact that's it's technically early access is actually nice since you can expect even more scenes in the future; according to the dev there's a whole floor of the dungeon he's still working on, and since bosses, events and (most) enemies are unique to each floor, that means there will likely be a ton more content to come, though even with what's in it right now it's a great game.
The only major gripes I could imagine with it is if you didn't like the succubus design, didn't like the animation, or weren't a fan of the fetishes, since the majority of the scenes are either of the succubus having sex with "tempted" (i.e. defeated and/or mind-controlled) enemies or being raped by said enemies. As someone who enjoys that kind of stuff greatly though, I would 100% recommend playing this, and highly recommend buying it for real.
