Playing the steam version and I'm getting my shit handed into me like when i played the early version so many years ago. Holy shit this is possibly the hardest jrpg I've ever played and very grindy feels like all I can do to level up is fight the first latex slime girls over and over and turn the girls in for stat boosts. But what are good stats to increase? Is there any gear I can get? Latex potion does it have a use? Do I get more spells later? I can't even make it past the first slime in the forest that turns you into a futa.

This game has a severe lack of information and it really just feels like I'm trying something if it doesn't work reload save ect. ect ect.

Does corruption actually do anything.

That's your player level essentially. When your corruption increases you learn new spells that are effective for different enemy types (latex, tentacles, slines etc) and get 5 skill points per level up (in the pause menu go to stats and allocate your points as desired).
However, increasing your corruption level does decrease your max HP.
