1. The weird un-advancable "summary" screens when the mc is talking about what the player JUST saw him do like 14 seconds earlier. I really don't get the point of them, and they are frustrating being unable to click past them you need to "skip" them. Why do we need a recap visual of scenes we just got done playing, its not like the MC can show other people.
These recap scenes are clearly meant to represent the MC telling other people what happened. There are times in this game that the MC has to tell other characters what happened, when that happens a game usually has to do one of the following
1) Actually have the MC tell the other character with text. Which depending on how extensive the event was can sometimes be done in one or two lines, other times it can take quite a bit more to be a believable explanation (Like take the MC telling characters about the attack. Could it be done in 1-2 lines, sure...but it makes more sense for the MC to be much more detailed when trying to have others figure out how to prove his innocence from his story.)
2) Cut away either ending the scene as the MC starts the explanation or else temporarily going to a different scene. Could be a full scene with other characters, a gag bit, or showing an object that denotes the passage of time like a moving clock, burning candle, or difference in daylight.
3) Fade in Fade out - Scene fades to black at the start of the explanation and fades back in as the MC is finishing the explanation up.
I actually find the Dev's solution quite imaginative and not one I've seen before. Plenty of times it feels like what the MC would have to say would indeed take more than a couple lines, so considering all of the above options all would result in stuff you would have to click through/wait on I don't think it's that bad. Now there have admittedly been a few times when a one or two line summary seems like it might have worked and been more efficient, but still not a huge deal to me IMHO.
