Review for the version : Season 1
I need to say, it's really hard not to compare this game with one of the most beloved College life AVN on here, but I think this fact alone is very high praise for any VN.
Graphics : 8/10
The graphics are very good, not eye-candy exceptional but still very good and up-to-date despite sometimes using assets that are pretty old now. It's the kind of graphics that you don't notice much, as they're good enough to please all but the most spoiled of players, but are just shy of being impressive enough for you to go "woah".
Sound & Music : 8.5/10
I always appreciate a Developer that takes extra care in selecting songs that fit the overall vibes of the scenes. While I won't be adding any of the songs to my favorite playlist, I did stop a few times to simply enjoy the music, which is a testimony of how it adds a lot to the whole experience.
Story : 8/10
The story is the hardest part to rate. I don't like the Main Character a whole lot, as he's really mister perfect. He could really use a flaw or two to make him more believable. Also, there's not a big storyline with cliffhangers and huge ups and downs, not yet anyways. BUT, I really like the whole cast of characters (outside of the MC) presented in the game. A lot of them have a very interesting complexity to them, and they are all pretty realistic, and even the "meaner" ones are very interesting to discover, and change your opinion about them, something I very much enjoy.
Gameplay : 8.5/10
The gameplay is nice, there's the standard phone at your disposition, but it's used in a better fashion than most AVNs. There are choices here an there, not as much as I would like, but still enough to be satisfactory. There's also some fake free roams, and some mild mini game (quiz) that are entirely skippable but that are interesting if the topic at hand (law) is/becomes fun to you. The Dev also tried something new with some animations that I think is nice to see.
In conclusion, this is a very well balanced game, and I'm very excited to see where the Dev takes it, because I think it has an extremely huge potential for the future. I can see this eventually becoming one of my Top 3 AVNs in the future, if the emotions and the stakes are ramped up as the story progresses. For now, it hits the Top 10 very easily. It's a game where the Dev really puts a lot of effort into it and it shows.
