Review for the version : Season 1

I need to say, it's really hard not to compare this game with one of the most beloved College life AVN on here, but I think this fact alone is very high praise for any VN.

    Graphics : 8/10
The graphics are very good, not eye-candy exceptional but still very good and up-to-date despite sometimes using assets that are pretty old now. It's the kind of graphics that you don't notice much, as they're good enough to please all but the most spoiled of players, but are just shy of being impressive enough for you to go "woah".

    Sound & Music : 8.5/10
I always appreciate a Developer that takes extra care in selecting songs that fit the overall vibes of the scenes. While I won't be adding any of the songs to my favorite playlist, I did stop a few times to simply enjoy the music, which is a testimony of how it adds a lot to the whole experience.

    Story : 8/10
The story is the hardest part to rate. I don't like the Main Character a whole lot, as he's really mister perfect. He could really use a flaw or two to make him more believable. Also, there's not a big storyline with cliffhangers and huge ups and downs, not yet anyways. BUT, I really like the whole cast of characters (outside of the MC) presented in the game. A lot of them have a very interesting complexity to them, and they are all pretty realistic, and even the "meaner" ones are very interesting to discover, and change your opinion about them, something I very much enjoy.

    Gameplay : 8.5/10
The gameplay is nice, there's the standard phone at your disposition, but it's used in a better fashion than most AVNs. There are choices here an there, not as much as I would like, but still enough to be satisfactory. There's also some fake free roams, and some mild mini game (quiz) that are entirely skippable but that are interesting if the topic at hand (law) is/becomes fun to you. The Dev also tried something new with some animations that I think is nice to see.

In conclusion, this is a very well balanced game, and I'm very excited to see where the Dev takes it, because I think it has an extremely huge potential for the future. I can see this eventually becoming one of my Top 3 AVNs in the future, if the emotions and the stakes are ramped up as the story progresses. For now, it hits the Top 10 very easily. It's a game where the Dev really puts a lot of effort into it and it shows.

Putting aside the interesting writing, the MC that you aren't locked into being a simp with, and the actual interesting LIs, this game did something that I never in a million years would have believed possible....

It made me actually interested in a tsundere personality type love interest in Aurora. Most games get them wrong, but she is written in a way that is actually plausible in how she warms up to you. For this alone, five stars.

Took me two tries to get into this game, but I'm glad I pushed through. The writing at the beginning is pretty wooden. The characters didn't feel real and the interactions didn't feel natural. HOWEVER...the quality of the writing improves steadily as you get further in. Several hours in, I was hooked, taking notice of a massive improvement in character development, scene setting, and plot. Renders are pretty good, nothing to write home about. It could use a rewrite/remaster of the intro at some point. I'd highly recommend this game to standard AVN lovers.

Well, finally, a game that can compare with BDik. Only played, now, all the big season 1. Not so, sometimes, complexed or Linear as BDK, but much more structured in the story. Beginning with the Law issue, is a must for me, not in the common law system, however, mine is european continental, but similar and I didn't need to study for those tests and principles... (still an easily A perform) :) . Other thing: Like in DIK, I took it as a Love story... In DIK, I'm a Jill guy, and it's her, with the example, that needs to change MC behaviour and feelings, in name of Love. Here, in LS, The Love it's, obviously, about Aurora, in a way that's Aurora that need to change with the MC example and principles, in name of Love... A different kind - MC-Jill is a conscient, assumed, calm, Love - Here, MC-Aurora, is a Hate-Love, need to transform, need to fight, need to surrender, need to accept the magnetic fascination... Of course, the kind of Love that you need to struggle, get bruises in the heart, where pride can not prevail , and trust is what you've got to build, to say: I Love You (you maggot...):). Besides, Aurora, is really a beautiful babyface, with an hurricane temper (almost , sometimes, a clown figure), that needs and deserves, like everyone, to love, be loved and protected, to trust in someone... Let's watch the season 2... (About Aurora disciplinary penalty, remember that she, as a witness, voluntary confess and showed her regret, in name of finding the "truth" in other higher and serious process ... That mitigates de penalty for a reprimand...) (Another thing: The house has 6 bedrooms... The team are 5. Left one bed. Suppose gonna choose between Olive, Taylor or Aurora... Hopefully, Aurora. She 's gonna need a bed after cutting with Andrea, her roommate.)

After playing the Devs previous game, this one is dotting all the i's. If you like Li's with boobs bigger than their heads, skip this one. However, ..... I like to believe most of us that are playing these AVN are here to find themselves emerged, surrounded by a fantasy created in which we love being the MC. Charmed by the characters, touched by the writing and grinning with the adventures unfolding. Lawschool is the spot on. From the game mechanics to the storyline, this is done BEAU-TI-FUL ! Getting myself this one on steam. For sure in my top 5 OAT !

    ⭐ Review – Law School Season 1

I just finished Season 1 of Law School and I honestly didn’t expect to get this hooked. It’s been a while since an AVN kept me glued to my screen from start to finish but this one pulled it off.

    What I loved:
    • The story: The mix of law school drama, mystery and relationships feels fresh compared to your usual college setting. The pacing kept me interested the whole way through, sometimes tense, sometimes funny, sometimes emotional.
    • The characters: Easily the strongest part. Everyone has personality, and the writing makes them feel like more than just tropes. And for me, Taylor and Aurora completely stole the show. They’re the kind of characters you actually want to spend more time with, not just chase for the romance scenes.
    • Visuals: The renders are clean, polished, and detailed. From environments to character models, it all looks sharp. You can tell a lot of care went into presentation.
    • Dialogue: The writing balances smart conversations with easy readability. You get that law school vibe without drowning in technical talk, which I really appreciated.
    What could improve:
    • The alignment system (selfish / neutral / altruistic): It’s an interesting mechanic but it sometimes feels restrictive. A few choices can unexpectedly lock you out of content, and it isn’t always clear why.
    • Impact of choices: While choices exist, the consequences don’t always feel as strong as they could be. Most routes keep you on good terms with everyone, so I’m curious if Season 2 will really turn up the stakes.
    • Lewd content: There’s less of it compared to some other AVNs, and what’s there is more on the vanilla side. It’s not bad at all, just something to know if you’re coming in expecting heavier content.
    Final thoughts:

Law School is one of the best AVNs I’ve played in a long time. It has heart, polished production and characters I actually care about. If you’re into story-driven AVNs with drama, mystery, and believable relationships, this is absolutely worth your time.

I’ll definitely be waiting for Season 2.
    ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ / 5 (easy 5 for how invested I got :p)

    VERSION: Season 1
SUMMARY: Impressive take on the usual college/young crowd scene.
    RATINGS: (out of 5):

NOTE: The following categories and scoring method are my own criteria and may require more context. Additionally, scoring is based on the state, and what is in the current version and not what may or may not be.
    1. Model Visuals..................... : ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
    2. General Visuals................... : ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
    3. Animation Quality................. : ⭐⭐⭐⭐
    4. Character (Persona)............... : ⭐⭐⭐⭐

    10. H-Content & Fetishes.............. : ⭐⭐⭐
    Average: 39 of 50 possible points giving a 78% rating i.e. 4-5 stars.

    PROS: (y)
    1. Models are very good look, rendered well, good on all fronts really.
    2. Renders in general and overall world and environment is detailed.
    3. Writing is pretty decent, its structured and reads well.
    4. Dialogue is good, well thought through and intelligent without being too heavily set in the law arena with unknown jargon.
    5. Story is nothing really profound or new , but it a bit more focused i.e. the law angle and commonality with students which is a bit more unique to most college story based AVN's.
    6. Characters have depth and personalities which are nicely fleshed out so far.
    7. Purpose, emotion and intellect all conveyed well in the dialogue and character are complex and interesting enough.
    8. Music is decent and you have some options to listen to.
    CONS: (n)
    1. Probably the most frustrating is the LI paths, which seem to lock you out easily if you don't watch your alignment. See Comments.
    2. Lack of lewd scene sounds makes this a fair bit disappointing for me.
    3. Cellphone interface is often a pointless exercise really, when your progression is tide to it and responding to characters.
    4. Per above point, having to go into an app to open your feed, to click on a person to text is a bit long winded, I opt for a having a message app right on the main screen to speed up the process.
    5. Lewd scenes are not many or frequent really, and kinks are pretty much vanilla and don't push boundaries.
    6. I am not a big fan of the alignment mechanic of this AVN, it locks you to certain paths and while using a walk-through its not clear when you get locked out or if you will miss content with the intended LI or not.
    7. Rate of updates is questionable, quality not withstanding (that is good) but it takes a while before anything new appears...
FINAL REMARKS, OPINIONS & SUGGESTIONS: :coffee:

NOTE: The following remarks are my personal opinions and thoughts, which may provide more context and could be useful to the developer.
    • Lack of lewd scene sounds is always thing that I notice in AVNs, it would have added heavily to immersion, sexiness and kink factor for the player (if done well, tastefully).
    • Per UI and cellphone comment at CONS, having quick access to critical parts like messages are to me must. The extra little picks and likes on social media are IMO a nice to have but have no bearing on the AVN at all and serve as time wasters, its not like the LIs or NPC care of the like or comment. Games like Amnesia do this a little better. Having the NPC respond to your social media responses and even can carry weight (point) toward the LI affections is a better way to get players to use those features, not really a nitpick or con, just stating.
    • Regarding kinks, lets be honest, students get up to all kinds of naughty shit, be it swinging sex parties or chicks getting knocked up. Pity developers don't push a bit more into this. This particular AVN is rooted more in reality it seems, which has pros and cons but I believe because its an AVN it should lean more toward the adult and kinkiness side of things. You can do that while having a generally strong story line and good dialogue. Its more often that a game loses its appeal for me when its all porn logic and no story than the other way around.
    • Per above point, are there any other kinks or tags we can expect in the future?
    • Regarding the UX for me and the alignment and LI interests. I don't like not knowing where I can screw myself over with a particular LI, I like knowing that if I pursue a particular way my MC will build toward a particular LI. As it is now, its confusing because you can modify your alignment but don't know if you missed content with the particular LI before. Nor do you know if you missed that LI before, if you can pick up content later on them. Its a convoluted way of unlocking LI content IMO...
    • I do not like replaying a game and hoping to pick the correct combination to unlock more content, paths should be open until it locks you in for a particular or group of LIs or you can have a harem game, but having to replay the game for every scrap of content is tedious and frustrating for me.
    • I am going to embroider on the above statement here:
This AVN is rooted in a very real setting, its reflected in the script and style. The impression is that the MC can get any girl and sure it seems almost like that, but the caveat seems to be that his male friends suffer for it. This is where realism tanks in this AVN, where you have the MMC score and almost no one else does, they all seem to wait and see. I believe to maintain a more realistic feel, the dev should lock out certain LIs if the MC is not interested in them, sometime after he has played the field a little obviously, to get a better idea of who the player prefers. This should also tie into a more strict route that the player gets locked into. As it is now alignment shift all the time and if you didnt watch it you can miss the LIs scenes you were after. This is a critical fuckup to me and highly annoying because the player gets locked out easily due to this mechanic that really needs more thought. The walkthrough does a reasonable job but does not consider LI paths based on what the player really wants. As such these should get locked down sooner rather than later. IMO, give the player warning and anyone the player does not want to have as an LI (because realistic you can't have all of them) they are free for other parties. While I also feel the player gets to be greedy, its a game and fantasy, we want our harem! :p, this AVN is just too realistic to make that work. Clear routes should be set so that you don't miss the flag that puts you on a particular LI path. I personally find no joy replaying a game to find that one place I missed, thats when you simply use a gallery unlocker, but context means more to me so I opt for the more natural route, it must just be more explicit or indicated through notices.
    TLDR:

Generally a pretty impressive AVN with very nice looking models all round that look the age and fit the scene nicely. It follows the same vibe as games like Being A DIK and if you enjoyed those, this is also excelent. Quality is overall good and I can highly recommend supporting the developer whole heatedly. My only real issue is LI paths not being explicit enough and the player can miss a lot of content because of it, without knowing exactly where they should have made another choice to get the other scenes. For more detail read the review.

    (Season 1 review)
This one started very average, but slowly picked up really well.

    Great graphics
    Great character designs
    Characters have enough depth
Story is good enough so far
MC does not look like a meme

So far felt like choices has minimum impact
Not a fan of near flawless MC
All girls pretty much throwing them at MC
Not enough screen time for Miri
Not a fan of (almost) everyone is somehow connected

Has potential, can be really really good.
    Seriously neededmore Miri screen time.

    Season 1

The story is about mundane life of college students. Nothing major to create interest to know what happens next or to create more interesting conversations.

The writing is too close to realistic conversations. For this reason, story does not flow with good pace. After a while I started to skip while trying to find something worth reading, with no luck.
One conversation was about books like Romeo and Julia. Second conversation was about updating teacher that they had jobs now and there is going to be a get-together. After these, i didn´t feel like i knew any of these people better or that any of this was needed for the main plot. Few of these is ok, but every conversation is like this.

Visually game does look good. Most of the game is just talking heads, but sexual content was well made. It is your "regular college students finding their sexuality" -type sex, so if you are not planning to read all the fluff character building, sex scenes probably don´t have that extra needed umph.

Great game through Season 1. Can't wait for Season 2. I don't need to say much as the other raving reviews have covered it well. I wanted to add my own 5* for it. I like the main character. I like the other characters. I like the art. I like the story. One of the best polished games on here.

Underrated. The characters are well written, interesting, and it gets better with each episode. The start of the first episode was a bit rough to get into- those voice sound effects were extremely cringe – but thankfully, the developer used them less and less as you go along.

This game ranks among the best on this platform, imo. Even if, like me, you're not really into law or stuff like that, there's a good chance it'll still keep you hooked. Just make sure to get through that first episode.

    Story: 7/10
    Renders: 9/10
    Animation: 8/10
    Sound: 7/10
    Characters: 10/10

This was a nice game. It has great renders and animations. This game also has a lot of content considering it's pretty new.
But this still needs a lot of improvement. The dialogues, narration, and humor are very childish, especially in Ch 1.
I felt like dropping it after Ch 1 due to so much cringe, but I kept on playing still, and I am glad I did. The LIs are amazing, and the story also kind of improved.
For some reason the animation in this game is very laggy there is a fix for that, but it still lags sometimes even after that.
Also, I didn't understand any purpose of paths because you can basically pursue any LI no matter what path you are on, and this also defeats the purpose of choices because no matter what you choose, you are still on good terms with everyone, maybe paths will play a role in season 2, but to be honest, I would be pretty pissed if I randomly was not able to pursue some LIs just because of the path without any context.
Overall a good game, but it still needs a lot of improvement.

I don’t even know where to start… this is golden. We’re talking a level only the very best AVNs ever reach. Easily top 5 of all I’ve played—and I’m confident it’ll stay there, because it takes something extraordinary to top this gem.

First off, the renders: absolutely top-tier, stunningly beautiful, and consistently high quality. Every single character feels alive—ALL of them are interesting, ALL of the love interests are engaging, and somehow the dev makes each one likeable, believable, and real. Their depth is remarkable, with personalities and backstories that are genuinely well thought out.

The writing? Incredible. The twists and turns are masterfully handled, but nothing feels forced—it all flows naturally. The plot itself is brilliant, immersive, and just keeps pulling you in. You can tell the dev knows how to write, and it makes the whole experience shine.

I honestly can’t wait for Season 2. Thank you, dev, for creating such a polished, heartfelt gem. It’s just… so freaking good.

And finally—MIRI IS SO CUUUTE ♡

Law School is a technically well-made and visually great product that suffers from boring storytelling, poor pacing, and dull writing.

For some reason the reviews here are absolutely showering Law School with praise, with the phrase "the best" seeming to be pretty frequent. Maybe some of the slop uploaded to F95 has resulted in the bar being very low, but for me when I read an AVN, I focus on those three elements: adult content, visual quality, and narrative quality. Law School has one of the three.
    -----
First off, adult content. The adult content present doesn't have the abundance you'd expect with the amount you have to read, nor with the size of the AVN itself. I mean this is 8GB, you kinda expect a bit more, especially seeing how most of them don't seem to involve...actual sex. The actual quality of the adult content present also isn't that great. The visuals look good, but there isn't really much build-up or interesting dynamics present. I mean one of the sexual scenes is just...a fight basically, but it's funny that the fighting takes up more time than the sexual aspects do. I'll loop back to the content later though, as it becomes relevant with the writing.
    -----
Now for the visuals: they're the highlight of the AVN. Everyone looks great here, the models have enough distinctness to set them all apart, they all look good. There's a good mix of ethnicities, although the body types are very similar in terms of builds, the only thing that really changes is boob and ass size. I'd also argue that the V in AVN is actually the least important aspect of the three, as the visuals don't really matter if the sexual content and writing both blow.
    -----
The writing content is probably the weakest of the three. Some will argue it's actually amazing, but I'd disagree. The setting is very common in AVNs, so to make it exciting you really gotta spice it up, and I don't think it has that. The law side is fun, and doing the quizzes is a good refresher on basic law principles, but there's nothing more than that. It's all generic, all familiar, all too well-trodden. The MC is probably the worst example of this, as he is nothing. He is a generic Mary Stu, amazing at everything and having no flaws, the type that every girl likes instantly for no particular reason, with no personality to speak of. His "I want to be the best lawyer" is basically verbatim how Ash talks about being a Pokemon trainer, that's how bland he is. So there's a boring MC in a boring world, with nothing in particular REALLY going on.

On top of that, the praised dialogue really isn't THAT good. A lot of it is simply repetition, either regurgitating the same conversation with different people over and over and over, or characters repeating themselves within the SAME conversation to extend the back-and-forth. The worst part is, they even HAVE a mechanic for not repeating what's already happened by using a kinda slideshow demonstration, but then he'll go from person to person and address the same thing multiple times and it just drives me up the wall.

Another thing you may have is them just trauma dumping onto you, because the writer can't have it come out naturally. I think this again has to do with the environment and story, because since there's no REAL way for a lot of their backstories to actually come up in a natural way, it instead ends up being you push someone and they just dump their personal trauma onto you, and then you just continue on. You can't learn on your own, you can't actually do anything on your own.

This also kinda leads into another reason I think it's boring: the choices. The choice system here is very very basic. Depending on the ocassion, you will get one of two choices, 2/3 of which will be essentially the exact same choice, just worded differently, and ending in the exact same result.

All in all, I rated it a 4/10 almost entirely due to boredom. It's not worth your time, narratively or just as wank material.

    Vibes2Good

This is by far one of the better AVN's i've played (and like most ppl on this site i've gone through my fair share.

This aint you're normal quick wank VN as there is a deep story behind here and MisterMaya really makes you feel for the characters and just overall like the MC and support him. There are enough scenes tho to enjoy.

The girls are all top tier. They are all unique in their own ways and have their own personalities and backstories that contribute to the story and overall just make you feel for them.

In my opinion, this is what most College based VNs should be like. Where theres a MC who's not OP but naturally determined to be a lawyer and from that appears to be at the top of his class. And from his natural charisma and ambiance it's wants draws people to him.

MisterMaya has done well in not only including all the girls/LI to be a part of his story but also male compatriots and really providing an all rounded feel for what a typical college life would be, with the added pressure of it being a top law school and the determination of being a lawyer.

There are mini games regarding lessons/law but tbh i've skipped them as i was more interested in seeing the story progress. Don't know if this has an impact on the overall story or not.

Renders are beautifully done with the typical models we expect in ren'py but the writing and musical timing is what really set this over the edge.

Apart from the game props to MisterMaya as you could see improvements from Episode 1 - 3 in the game overall. There was so many different revelations in episode 3 alone that I felt like most developers would have broken up into different chapters.

He has a new fan and I can't wait for S2 and where the rest of this story goes.

Only criticism is the type of relationship MC has with Rose but other than that. And the animations seem kinda janky but those are from 3rd party animator.

TLDR: Flawless writing. Top tier AVN and should be way higher on this website

    Writing: 5/5
    Ambiance/Natural feeling:5/5
    Renders: 5/5
    Music: 4/5
    Animation: 3/5
    Girls: 10/5

    GibboBtw

A TOP, TOP tier game by pretty much every measurable point for a VN.

A great and engaging story, with some wonderful characters in there. An MC that is very charismatic and enjoyable to play as. Very beautiful graphically, a good amount of replayability with a different personality MC.

And the main selling point I think for most AVN enjoyers. Some of the BEST LIs I've seen in any AVN.

Taylor, Miranda and Aurora especially leading the way there. With Aurora and Miranda being a clear top two! Going to be extremely hard to pick between them for my first run in season 2

Season 1 was brilliant and I'm extremely looking forward now to season 2!

writing style took some getting used to/improvements, but was less noticeable after chapter 1, compared to other AVNS i have to give this a 5 instead of a 4 despite the flaws. Can't wait for season 2.
