VN - Ren'Py - Law School [Season 1] [MisterMaya]

This is already one of the best story-driven AVNs I've played so far. Pros and cons:

Pros:
- The characters are very likeable and overall quite realistic
- Although MC has some kind of "chosen one" vibe, he doesn't let it go to his head.
- You get the feeling that you have to "work" to get the girls in bed, it's not like with many other AVNs that 1 look is enough to bed them.
- Good looking models and backgrounds
- Very likeable music
- First playthrough has a decent runtime. It took me about 15 hours at normal reading speed.
- Well written and animated sex scenes.

Cons:
- Not that many sex scenes in the game for its running time
- Choices currently don't seem to make much of an impact on the story except for which girls are interested in you. They might have a larger impact for season 2 though.

I highly recommend this game if you like to play story-driven AVNs.

Really like this game, a lot of content and a lot of beautiful girls (specially Miranda and Aurora).

Many scenes are really funny and entertaining, but some perhaps lack development. I'm thinking in particular of the parties, which are sometimes relatively short.

There are a few minor technical issues that aren't particularly disturbing but often caught my attention: many renderings have clipping between the model and the clothes, and the dialogue bar sometimes remains visible even when there is no dialogue.

Special mention goes to “La Baguette” and Alphonse, who are obviously a near-perfect representation of any French restaurant.

Its not terrible, but I'm just not wild about it.

The main character is forced to befriend A LOT of obnoxious, unlikable characters. Most of the decisions don't feel meaningful. There's very little adult content, and its fairly unremarkable. Most of the characters are attractive but generally don't stand out from each other. Almost everyone is either blandly nice or antagonistic. There's a lot of "comedy", but none of it really lands.

Stunning visuals and animations, the girls look gorgeous. The characters visual are one of the best I've seen. The bodies have natural looking proportions instead of oversized boobs.

I am looking forward to the next update.

This game is great! I had a lot of fun playing and highly recommend it to others.

Here are the things I enjoyed the most about it:

• The renders are well done
• The story is interesting and compelling
• The lewd scenes are great
• I found myself physically laughing from some of the scenes
• Characters are memorable and feel very 'human'
• The diary, facegram, characters, and funfacts sections were fun to review.
• I loved how you would popup pictures when a character was telling a story about a prior event.

Things I disliked:

• The only thing I really disliked was that it was difficult to tell if a girl will like certain actions I made. I would love a mode where I could see if my choices impacted X girl. A lot of games aren't written as well as this one but the advantage with that is that it's easier to distinguish if a girl will like what you say. With this one, I often had trouble figuring out if my selection would impact the girl positively, even though I was using a walkthrough.

Excellent game. The romance between MC and Aurora is one for the ages. One of the most beautiful relationships in the history of AVNs, hands down. The animations and visuals are Top Notch, also. All the girls are terrific,. Also, the male friends are well writen. The bromance with Alan is very good.

What can I say, I loved it and it left me wanting more. I came for the scenes and stayed for the story. Honestly, it hooked me from beginning to end. The characters are incredible, and what can I say about the protagonist? He is overflowing with charisma, and I liked that. Besides, the laws are implemented magnificently. I'm eagerly awaiting the second season; a masterpiece, great development work!

This is a must play!
Everything in this game is good, the animation, the girls, the UI, the story, even the background of the girls (at least the girls that opened to the MC so far). This game matches precisely what I want from a VN, realistic story, NOT harem, and consequences for you actions. You bang X? Y will have a reaction.

As of now (Ep. 3), you can lock yourself chasing 3 girls depending on your decisions. I believe the dev in the next chapters will lock you into only one girl, and I love that.

If you like the school setting, realism, romance, and a little bit of drama this game is for you, trust me!

A lot of talent on display here. Awesome visuals, catchy music, compelling and sexy characters, great writing, and a believable, breathing story all combine to create a memorable experience. Really excited to see where this one goes in the future, because it has a ton of potential to raise the bar.

The visual upgrade from MisterMaya’s previous work is striking. Crisp, cinematic renders and fluid animations make for an immersive experience. The BGM is thoughtfully picked and enhances the atmosphere without being intrusive.

Character Appeal: 5/5
The cast is attractive and well-written, each with distinct personalities. Character development feels organic, and their motivations are easy to connect with. More depth may come in future episodes.

Story/Scenario: 5/5
Set in a prestigious law school, the story blends college life with academic pressure, personal growth, and the drama of navigating relationships and ambition. The pacing is solid, and it captures the intensity of legal education without losing its slice-of-life charm.

Amazingly good, 10/10 characters, the story is really engaging but maybe im too stupid to complete the minigame well. Looking forward to the next episodes. Might actually buy it when it comes out on steam!!

Amazing characters, lots of fun, amusing story really. Each character has its own ghosts and even thouth it sounds like a cliche, its realy enjoyable. So many great girls out there.

Girls are beautifull and story makes sense. Everything fits, no nonsenses in the story.

Every update has a lots of conten, so very nice.

References to previous game of MisterMaya nad other branding in the game is also very funny.

Amazingly good, 10/10 characters, excelent story. Looking forward to the next episodes. Sex scenes are not as fluid as it could be but the girls are hot so it balances it out. Will probably be the first game I actually buy when it launches on Steam.

Extremely good AVN. Features some of the best written characters I've ever seen in this genre. There are plenty of twists and turns that really keep you engaged and wanting to find out more. Animations are also superb and really gives the game a high quality feel. Highly recommend!

Rivetingly Good-Just make Sure You Play This One If You are an AVN Gamer Based on Mister Maya, Law School is one of the AVNs expected to become the highlights of the year.
By the 3rd episode, one thing is evident, this is actually a heartfelt, deep, and heavy-storied game. It is well crafted, lively text that has an edge of legal drama with a generous dose of steamy romance and a lot of moments focused on the characters. All the decisions made seem to count, and it introduces a genuine flavour of agency on the side of the player. The MC is down-to-earth and female characters are not eye candy, they have personalities and reasons of their actions. It really has emotional subtlety.
The speech quickly goes back and forth and the passages are interesting and never hurried. The renders, visually, are of the highest level: they are clear and cinematic and have a very good light. The care that has been put in the setting and refinement of expressions renders each scene to be living. There is light but effective music and sound design which contributes to the engrossing atmosphere. Passion can be seen in this project of MisterMaya. Law School is readily recommended to those who like AVNs that are more than skin-deep with strong story-telling, intellectual scripting, and heavy production quality. I cannot wait to see how the story plays on the episodes in the future!

Definitely one of the better games out there story wise. There's mystery and drama, rather than just a comedic "fuck anything that breathes" story.

Girls - 5/5
The girls in the story are written well in my opinion, each with something different about them. No complaints about LI's, besides a slight confusion of whether some girls are considered LI's at all, but I guess that will be revealed as the game is updated.

MC - 4/5
The MC is ok. Nothing special, nothing that makes me think "oh wow this guy is different from other games". But there's not many games that make me think that, and the MC isn't bad or anything.

The game deserves 5 stars, and definitely leaves you wanting more.

Excellent game. Yes, its another college / uni VN but its done really well with the story much better than the dev' s first novel which I lost my way with. The only concern so far is around the LI's. My favourite is Vicky and she isn't an LI option, which is disappointing. Yes, I know some people's theories about Vicky as to why but at this moment I really like her. We had a relationship with Lana but now its over and she's not longer an option with no explanation as to why??? Yes, I know she said it was casual but it didn't seem so casual at the time, I would have liked to spend more time with Fang Li but you can't and its clear you can't have Sana without pissing off Will which if you end up living with him would be a problem for your friends. Finally how the LI's are grouped suggests that eventually you are going to be locked into a group of three and then have to choose one of them. So do you change your decisions to get the girl you want or just make the choices naturally? It kind of feels like you are being set up for an arranged marriage. The women are beautiful but... I'm left feeling I might have to start again when I find out if this is the case but I hope I'm wrong.

Okay...lets give it a try....Law School is more than just a visual novel; it’s an emotional rollercoaster that pulls you into its world, making you care deeply for its characters and the choices they face. From the first moment, you’re not just playing a character — you’re living their story. The game brilliantly mixes the pressures of law school with rich, personal relationships, making each decision feel impactful.

The characters are the heart of this experience. They’re not perfect, but that’s what makes them so real. Whether it's a late-night study session with Taylor or a vulnerable conversation with Olive, the romance with Lana or Miri and drama with Aurora feel so authentic, and every route is filled with twists and emotional moments that will have you questioning your choices. It so awesome...sometimes you forget, that you are in a Game.

The art and music are the perfect companions to the story. Mister Maya nailed it...even if some Soundeffects are still missing. Every background, expression, and melody enhances the experience, making you feel like you’re part of the narrative rather than just an observer. You are almost a real part ot this.

This Game really stands out for its humanity...and in my eyes..this is a BIG FAT PLUS. It’s a game that doesn’t just entertain but resonates emotionally, reminding you that life is about choices, growth, and the people who shape you. By the end, you’ll leave with more than just a conclusion — you’ll leave with a piece of the story in your heart. For the "romantics" among us....yes...there is a lot of unprotected handholding (just read the line the other day in another Game and had to use it) The LI`s are ALL breathtaking....and each of them has to deal with their own past.... Get ready to be suprised. Some of these may make you (almost) cry...
