-No combat as of now. We will include simple combat if we feel the need, but we are preferring to keep away from RPG Maker's usual turn-based combat.
-Gay/LGBT content is planned, but only happens if you flirt with the characters. You can keep away if you don't like it. We are also planning to make Annika (girl in the blue nightgown in the previews) a playable character in the future, as a choice in the beginning of the game.

The variation of fonts is used as a sort of comedic effect during the intro, it's not common through the game.

I'm not sure what to say about Sigurd's face our only patron so far likes him a lot. (I like him too, but hey, creators are biased) Personal preferences, I guess. Do you guys have any idea what exactly throws you off about him? Perhaps it's something that can be tinkered with.

To the admins: the account Dhylec here is Khamael, my co-creator. He's requesting ownership of the thread, please. Also, could we get the patreon link into the op post please?

I just want to say that aside from Sigurd's face, everything looks great. At first, I thought Illiam was the main character because he looks amazing. In comparison, Sigurd looks like a combination of really odd features. His posture is strange, his face has a lot of pointy features (cheeks, chin, nose, eyes), his chin hair looks dirty and gross, his lips are disturbingly prominent and don't match his skin tone, his eyes are a bit too small. No offense, but he looks a case of botched plastic surgery.
I think with slightly bigger eyes, a wider jaw (which will also make his cheeks less bony), and thinner/smaller and paler lips, he would look 1000% better. His facial hair should be removed or changed for something else. It's just really gross.

I have much more experience drawing women, the features you mention were my attempt at making him young-but-adult, and the beard was the "unkempt" part of Khamael (our writer)'s request for him.

If you have to have him "unkempt" have you considered giving him a 3 day stubble or something?

For now, you get the intro, that vine quest and an "introduction" to who is Illiam. It took us a lot of time to get that done and set up the game behind the scenes - we wanted to have something to show before making too much, in case we needed to change something based on feedback from others (a testament to this is Sigurd himself - I wouldn't have noticed the issues with his face by myself as I was, say, working on him far too closely for far too long LMAO)

For the next update, I'm hoping to include a scene with Illiam, an introduction to Lina (the catgirl you can see on the Patreon banner and in the relationships screen) and the updates to Sigurd's looks. Maybe something more if we can cram more things in. I intend to avoid taking too long in between updates.

Yeah that was my first attempt, but the more fuzz I added the more he looked like a... blob. I guess the art style doesn't allow much fuzz I'm keeping the guy's face clean, I guess his messy hair is enough of an unkempt look for him - he IS a paladin after all, so he can't be a complete mess lmao

Scrufs seem hard to get right. Also as you say with all that gleaming armor at least he takes care of some things.
Maybe it's the 2 things he just won't suffer. Dirty equipment and a scruffy beard.

I forgot to ask - did you just get the quest or were you able to flirt with her after the quest? You can, if you have enough of her approval (which for this case means you gotta introduce yourself in a way she doesn't disapprove when you first meet her, and then do the quest). If you flirt with her then, you get a little scene with her, the lewdest thing in the game right now (which isn't really very lewd, but hey, the guy just got here).
