Great story with good emotional ups and downs. could be a little to emotional for some but it gives you and option to skip the scenes and still be impactful.

This game has great renders, but the plot is not only all over the place it is way too serious for a porn game. The game forces you to choose who you will end the game with way too early which really limits what scenes you can see. This game could have been great, and I understand the dev had a story to tell but I don't think this was the correct medium.

I also played the un-modded version where a song was removed so I just got a stupid silent scene with characters singing a song I've never heard of with a note to look it up (no). It's unfortunate what happened with the music license, but that scene should have just been changed.

Leap of Faith [Completed] - No Spoilers

I abandoned this during a truth or dare scene in what I believe is chapter 3. That I would still rate it 3 stars feels incredibly generous. I didn't know that this was the 4th highest rated game on F95 before reading it, so it's not as if my expectations were high.

I'll get the good bits out of the way. The technical aspects of the game, such as the apps on the cell phone, are fun to play with. The writing is grammatically correct and some story points are interesting, but I can't say anything else that's positive about the writing.

Now for the criticism. The main character is your typical harem magnet. There's nothing especially likeable about him. His relationship with his best friend seems relatable at first, but it quickly becomes nothing more than a tool for the MC to connect with more girls. The MC's speech with women oscillates between gentlemanly and perverted early on, before settling on mostly juvenile. Most of his love interests fit that juvenile description as well.

The positive overreaction towards this game for discussing "deep" issues like suicide is bewildering to me. Most of us have dealt with loss, anger, and depression, but very little in this game struck a chord with me. Neither the sob stories, the C-tier movie twist, nor the "shocking" confessions merit generous praise for their creativity, expression, or emotional impact. It doesn't help that every emotional scene is sandwiched between other cheesy or immature scenes. The cheesy scenes with frat-boy-inspired humour are bad, but the immature scenes are the worst, because they rely on stereotypical porn game tropes. I get the sense that the author is slightly older or more mature himself, so I don't understand why so much of the writing devolves into frivolous banter. It's disappointing especially when there are glimpses of higher quality writing.

I'll wrap up by saying that what disappointed me the most in this game was the selection of women. So few are actually hot enough to want to pursue, and then the selection narrows even more when you consider which ones have personalities worth pursuing further. It's not that the girls and their assets look cheap, but it's the unique changes that have been made to their faces that unfortunately detract from the standard models.

I would feel guilty rating this lower than 3 stars because I can recognise the tremendous amount of work that went into it, but anything more would be overrating this game and its writing. Oh, and the gags. Yet another game that assumes the readers will laugh when they see characters with uncannily expressive faces and reactions. No, I didn't find your joke funny just because your own character laughed at it.

Leap of faith is a work of art only held back by its inception as a porn game. I honestly wish there was a less horny, non-porn remake/remaster of this game so that I could recommend it to a broader audience. It's got a message to send, and it communicates it wonderfully- and it's at its best when the characters are interacting without the looming threat of them jumping each other's bones. Maybe this is a weird review for this website, but hey. 5 stars.

Epic Story with interesting Characters and the only VN with the Best Music. I kinda hate that Dev has to cut some Music due to DMCA but it's still a masterpiece. Cant wait for the new Project the Dev is working on.

I don't have anything to add that hasn't been covered already. Excellent characters with substantial character development, a compelling story that faithfully branches off based on your choices, and excellent adult content to boot. Five stars, easy.

An amazingly well told and engaging story. Obviously written by someone with life experience and perspective - and a lot of talent.

This game drew me in with the story, wowed me with it's attention to detail and composition, and the fact that it's mostly the work of a single individual is greatly impressive.

Since I got too caught up in Cece's story, I'll have to replay it now to get all the lewd bits I missed. I'm looking forward to it.

I've been following this game since damn near its debut, and have been beyond impressed and further sucked into the world and characters each chapter that was released.

Now to get into my review, with will be as spoiler free as possible.

Graphics: Great. the first chapter was rougher with its renders, especially lighting making Kira look greasy, though DriftyGames very obviously improved vastly between every chapter, by the final chapter looking amazing. Though admittedly there are still some rougher renders in the later chapters but they are easy to overlook for the most part.

Music: There is a lot of different song here, and they are all pretty good. Cant say too much more here since in tend to play my own music or other stuff while I read so I only heard some of it.

Sexytime/Lewds: one of the games weaker points. Not bad, but typically much shorter scene and often you can be blue-balled by the dev (which he happily points out at one point!) Renders for the sex stuff varies from pretty hot to feeling a little rushed. If the sex aspect is the MOST important part then you probably will be disappointed. In many ways this is a Story to tell masquerading under the moniker of "porn game". Though despite that, the sex aint bad, just clearly the story takes the front seat while the sex is in the back. A lot of really good Lewds as well honestly.

Story: AMAZING, game starts slow for me until Cece is introduced, then its great until the end. I love that It really does try to actually ground a lot of what happens, even the more far reaching stuff. This game has a LOT to spoil, thus I wont say anything more than, If the story is among the most important things for you (like me) then this game is top tier. This game and its Dev had a very clear and defined story to tell, and it is done near flawlessly. Keep in mind that this game does have several pretty heavy moments.

Characters: When I played the first chapter 2 years ago, I swore Cece was the only character I was going to really like, however, all of the character are really great. Cece still being the best by miles, but all of the females pack reason to like them and are pretty well fleshed out. Where I want to to point a special attention is to the guys. Its pretty rare to play one of these games and actively like the main character. This one is a bit of an airhead, but never is he a major push over, nor a overly pervy Piece of shit, even having the option to play wingman for his best friend (who is also pretty likable and glad he was given the treatment he did).

Final thoughts: The game is really great regardless of its sexual aspects and would be just as good if they were absent. if that doesn't sell that game by itself honestly its you who is missing out.

The characters are endearing as hell, the story is among the best you will find on this site, and the music does its job and there is a hell lot of it. Just play the game I promise you will not regret it.

As someone who still is suffering with depression for 20 years, this game has to be the best story i have ever seen on here and im thankful to have found it!! Such a beautiful story and game and couldn't ask for better. 5stars all day.

Can't say more than what others have already said. This is one of the best. Thanks Drifty. The story was emotional but also fun with good use of humor throughout. All characters are likeable and ends with bittersweet moments.

This game resonated with me on a whole different level. Thank You Drifty for sharing such a personal story with all of us randos. This is by far one of the best adult game I've played so far, and my only criticism would be I wish we got to spend just a day or two more with our chosen one.

Wow what an amazing journey this was. Got hooked on the art and story very quickly and power played over 2 nights. Completed all the routes not long after. Whish there is a harem path and built a castle with all the girls since they are all sooooo lovely

Fantastic game. The story goes emotionally far beyond most adult games which makes it far more enjoyable. Well writtencharacters and animation was great overall. The only reason not to play it is if you aren't in the mood to have an emotional kick to the balls.

This was one of those games, where you'd be fine even if the intercourse scenes were not present. Outstanding storytelling, all the characters are fully utilized without any fillers and straight to the point, I played the first 5 chapters in 1 sitting and it's just so easy to go through, I didn't feel I should click rapidly to go to the next scences, and had a overall great time, like chilling out with friends.

I don't know why I was skeptical at first because I didn't think an emotional story telling is possible through this medium, but it was a pleasant surprise to be treated with this masterfully crafted story, well animated and use
of curated music that is mesmerising and complements the scences wonderfully.

This was such a delight, I didn't find myself trying to get a score with each and every woman, but let the story fold organically and it was a rewarding experience in the end. I haven't seen such a creative use of visual elements to enhance and make the scenes more fun to experience than ever before, such a thrilling roller coaster ride of emotions.

If you're on the fence about how you'll feel about this game..this might sound cheesy but you gotta take a leap of faith to find out. At the end of it you'll be left with an experience like no other, and it will make you appreciate more the hard work and personal journey of the dev that goes behind the scenes to treat us with such a creative spectacle. It wasn't short, it wasn't long, it wasn't boring and it wasn't virtue signaling either. This was a perfect masterclass of how a visual novel can have such an impact on the community, this was a masterpiece.

What a roller-coaster of emotions this was. Those characters had dynamic and believable personalities, backgrounds, emotions and the dev wrote them in such a way that they just all felt.. alive!
I really hope the dev keeps writing stories, no matter the genre, because he has so much talent it's just truly amazing . I also hope he gets the love and support he deserves.

What makes a good game amazing? These are details, and the first such detail was the end of the first chapter, when the author masterfully performed the transition to the title of the chapter.
The plot is quite simple, but its details immerse you in what is happening on the screen and cause sincere emotions.
The characters are interesting, each girl has her own quirks and character development. Great music, falling in time with what is happening.
As a result, the author made a wonderful visual novel. I thank him for this work and wish him peace in his soul.

This is overall an excellent game, with great writing, characters and humor. People should be aware that there is some darker content in it and it may not be for everybody, but everything is handled tastefully and well in that aspect of the game. MC is generally likeable and choices definitely matter, but the choices that matter most are mostly front loaded into the first half of the game so there's less sense of participation in the latter half of the game. There's a lot of clicking and looking to see how your earlier decisions play out. That's mostly ok because the storytelling is good, but it would be nice to have a little more impact in the end of the game too. The sense of play diminishes as you move along. There are also a couple of instances of things that seem important as tasks or events in the game that don't really get adequately resolved or that you don't see the results of, but really these are minor quibbles in what generally is a great game. Definitely recommended.

Incredibly written, multiple endings, and a "book" hangover where I'm sad it's over. It also has some tender moments that may hit you harder than you expect. I didn't think I'd get this much from an adult game, but I'm glad I went with Leap of Faith!

I can't really express how great this game is and how much it touched me. I will just say this:

Leap of Faith is one of the best adult visual novels around. It's sexy, it's funny, every girl has her own path (some even more than one), the story is great and did I mention it is sometimes hillariously funny... and then it punches you in the gut and makes you realize this is an adult game in more sense than one.

I cannot praise this game highly enough. It is truly a work of art.
