VN - Ren'Py - Completed - Leap of Faith [Ch. 8 v1.0.3] [DriftyGames]

Painfully dull. Took me 3 weeks to go through it as the character interactions are painful to read through. The "humor" didn't click for me at all and all I felt was secondhand embarrassment for the MC. Impossible to self insert or feel anything but disgust for this guy. One particular high/lowlight was him flexing his dick(?) or dancing while thinking he's alone(but not really) in the house. Wacky interactions ensue. Reminder: This man and most characters in the game are all in their 20s. Unfortunately for me, scenes like these form the bulk of the lighter moments.

Now coming onto the "heavy" parts, while I get the message of suicidal tendencies and how difficult it is as their loved ones to help them get out of the rut, this came at the price of sidelining every other LI in the game. There's a clear FMC and every other end that's not with her feels shallow and unfulfilling. Most are outright bad ends. It tries to invoke emotions out of the drama but just came across as a sobfest due to the total disconnect I felt from the happenings in the game.

Gameplay wise, it's straightforward enough with most choices nudging you more firmly towards your preferred girl while locking out the others. Sex scenes are really bad and unerotic and there's really not enough of them for such a long game. You'll have playthroughs where you'll go through the entire game with less than 5. No sensuality, barely any sex talk, it's like there was a deliberate attempt to make this as unsexy as possible.This is really bad in a porn game and doubly so when all other aspects of the game are this bad.

I'm giving this half star more just because it's a complete game. Really not worth anybody's time.

This is another game that makes me wish reviews could leave 1/2 stars.

This game is objectively excellent. The story, the writing, the animations. I thought the women were beautiful overall....Robin seemed rushed and Kira was occasionally inconsistent.

Here's the thing - it's story heavy and the sex is infrequent, soft and vanilla...so if that's your thing, you'll likely find this to be a masterpiece.

So, here's what I didn't like:
- Soft, vanilla sex
- There didn't seem to be a harem route

Best game i ever play from this genre, i appreciate this game you create the story was one of the best i seen so far, and i play a lot of this games, the animations are not the best ones but thats okay, the most importante thing to me in this games is the story and you naild it for sure.
i also like the mechacnics of the RPG character personality it is a nice addition to the game

Really fun game. It has sprinkled in humor and seriousness throughout. There were a lot of paths to play and or pick from so there is lots of replay value. I have enjoyed each and every path so far for each character. I enjoy the challenge of making the right choice for each one depending on who I'm trying to end up with. Great game, and well written. Suddenly goofy in the midst of serious topics, just like how I live my life.

The Main Story Cece Path and presentation really well tailored and presented. Presentation too good that youll get mad at the author for the buildups, scare, release and boom. but yeah the story is "as realistic as it gets for a game" with a good ending only. I thought there will be bad ending or alternate ending/resolution onto her suicidal, but no they dont. I really wish to know any other idea the author have during the writings of this resolution.
Other than Cece, Side Paths are lacking. its more like 1 Main Cece story and 5 side chick stories. Selecting path feels so quick and Chap 6+ feels so slow due to not changing location(?). probably could add few chaps, but who am i to be entitled to say anything about this.
I always have bad habit to skip any boring looking part in any game/movie but This title presentation hooked me enough.. Gonna rate the presentation around 8-9/10 for keeping me interested on to reading everything. Should worth every single time you play this game.
Music is very good.
Sex scene is okay as good enough. i didnt go through every path. but what the hell with Holly the last scene lol. looked like they are less invested in the the sex scene aside from the popular girls.
Will i recommend this game? Absolutely.

Fantastic game. Excellent Renders. Great Scenes. One of the best written out there. Branching paths that work and feel good. Characters you absolutely fall in love with. It doesn't get much better than this.

Very good visual novel story telling is great characters all have there own charms and feel and the story does a good job showing all that off as well as giving you the feels only things that kinda suck is the sex scenes are kind of an after thought and quite lacking but story makes up for it

A timless classic AVN with multiple ending great writing, funny MC, and goofy best friend. The characters are all likeable with their unique qualities and stories.
However, after having played alot of other AVNs, I feel like it is a bit overrated especially when it comes to LIs and renders.

Une surprise pour moi ! Un vrai jeu où on doit faire des choix qui ont des conséquences... mais aussi où on voit parfois que quel que soit le choix, on n'y peut rien. Le chapitre 4 est certainement l'un des chapitres les plus émouvants que j'ai vus, que ce soit dans un jeu ou à la télé; j'ai joué avec presque toutes les configurations de personnages et plus ou moins pleuré à toutes les fois. Certaines animations pourraient être retravaillés mais, autrement, que du bon. Bravo !

Better than average, but I personally didn't like the story. There were too many characters and not enough time was spent developing all of them. It is sad because the game clearly made an effort to make an emotional impact, but it comes off as forced rather than natural.

This is one of the best written stories not just on this site but games in general. There is a great mix of H-scenes but the real star of this game is the story. It was worth it to me to play through 9 times to see each main LI endng. The emotions and connections built through the story are gripping and not all just happy times. It makes if feel more realistic and relatable...more so than many games on this site.

Okay, I wasn't expecting it to be as good as it turns out to be. The characters are well-written barring one or two thrown in there but that's par for the course when you are making a group of friends.

Gets a bit dramatic in Ep 6 but thankfully it didn't drag itself on. That's where the writer did well. The hospital scene being dragged on would've destroyed the game but the writer kept it to an optimal level.

Pros:
1. You can go in any direction you want with any girl. You can try to be a player or do a faithful playthrough where you stick with one girl. The endings are well fleshed out, I did this with both Cece and Lexi and it took both stories to a conclusion.
2. Animations and sex scenes are well done. There is nothing over the top and vanilla gets the job done.

Cons:
1. Even on faithful playthroughs way too many girls were trying to come on to the MC. For example, the kiss outside the hospital was just unnecessary given the situation.
2. Chris and MC's friendship needed a bit more focus. That could've made the game a bit more fun. The jokes kinda faded away as the episodes went on.

Overall:
It is a good experience that won't satisfy all your fetishes but if you are looking for a good story with ups and downs without being dragged on too much, this does the job.

this actually took me by surprise. I was expecting a normal 7/10 porn vn but ended up being an 10/10 vn with porn elements instead. cant recommend it enough .
the characters are unique in their own ways and u don't feel feel like u picked sub bar route because all of them are worth it and have good content.

The porn scenes are fleshed out but if i are in this just for the porn it will feel a bit light on the nsfw content. imo this is a story vn first then a porn vn.

If you want a story, this one will take you for a ride. Renders are fair, there's a nice sprinkling of humor and fun. The real surprise is the emotional content. This title hits a little deeper than most, actually delivering some real feels along the way. Really feels like it's coming from a personal place.

Good game, history of CECE are sad and crazy, but we really want to make her happy, the characters are beautiful and well rendered, and each have their own personality. The MC are good too, very pleasant and funny.
My favorite his certainly Holly, but Linda is just... crazy.

Great story. In first play I picked Cece. I had feeling that her story will be touching. If only stries in real life end that way. Remember, depression is an severe illness. You need and deserve help.

This game has decent graphics and some really nice renders. The female characters look alright but could be more attractive. The story is around average and not really complicated. The game interface is alright (RenPy).

Can't believe I avoided this game for so long.
Well, I know why. It's because I tend to play more harem and quick fap games that have loads of LI's that are all up for it.
However this has none of that but transcends everything!
