Hey there, I am planning on finally trying out one of the LoQO games but not sure if I should start with 1 or 2 first. I am thinking of just going with the second since the first game might be pretty aged at this point and I don't know if the first has an improvement mod like this game. Anything about the first game that stands out compared to this one?
both the first and second are somewhat aged, but they still hold up in my opinion.
The first game, comparing to this one, is that not only has erotic audio scenes (no images) as a reward at the end, but also is a lot shorter and you'll probably finish the main story before 5-6 hours tops. It also is the only game where your morality actually matters in the storyline, where your missions and ending will change depending on your choices during the game.
The second is a lot longer, with more characters, but you'll get the biggest development and character showcase of Opala and Osira than any other game, the story feels big, a lot of exploration and a lot of story. I don't remember it all that well but i do recall being over a week playing it with ocasional aid from the guide to finish it and i also remember the story was pretty decent.
Overall: LOQO1 is shorter, more filled with porn, and basically one of the first erotic RPGs. Meaning that you'll get to a pretty different experience as you'd get with the next ones since it was experimental.
The only bad things is that it is somewhat nonsensical even by porn standards, with weird gag characters and the art was decent at best and horrendous at worst, with some characters looking like old people with severe deformities.... But overall i recommend it as a first time porn game and you'll get to know the origins of the trinity of Opala, Farah and Osira. Plus, because it's so short and it's still decent is a good way to kill time.
LOQO2 is a long LONG game, and you'll get to meet Opala as a character a lot more, out of the three this one is the plot-heavy one (even Origin has a more direct storyline), and there are some really difficult bosses, so if you like longer games this is for you. Problem is that traveling is a chore and somewhat of a maze (even teleporting is confusing), some instances the game is really cryptic on how to resolve them (so you'll need to check the guide) and the erotic scenes are few and far-between.
Plus both of them have MASSIVE post-game, in the first i am pretty sure the post-game felt longer than the main storyline.
