Ive followed it exactly up until this point where it doesn't allow me to enter, I've even backtracked three locations and have all the quests up to this point complete to no avail

Give me a few hours (because following the walkthrough takes about a few hours to get some stuff done in this game), I just started a new game and i'm about to start chapter 5 of the walkthrough and I was giving you suggestions based on what I remember.
So for now, just wait until i get to where you are, or wait until someone else gives you an answer. From what I remember is that you have to raid castle warrengard at night because it literally tells you to.

To get to Warrengard, don't you have to take the underground tunnel the first time? did you talk to the villagers in the hideout?
The hideout as in that cave hidden behind a crate with the villagers in it in Avalon?

yep. After you convinced the villagers that not every stranger that walks into town is a murderous pillaging bandit, you should be able to buy dynamite at their shop. it costs a pretty penny, but lets you blow up those totally-not-an-obvious-bomb-wall bomb walls. then, in fierra falls, at the first fork in the road, you want to take a right. you should see a campsite, and below it a TNAOBW bomb wall. there's your in.

I forgot that you need to find the secret passageway and dynamite in order to get into castle warrengard.
Sorry i wasn't able to help you that much, It's been a while since i played this game back when it was v2.10 and i forgot almost everything about this game except that you can't fuck gabrielle (the dev might've changed this hopefully) and that something happens to kythe

then don´t play it, this game is slow as hell in developing, but it's certainly one game that deserves be played well, it has a lot of story, there are a gallery in game if you play it so you can ask nicely for a save that have all unlocked
There is a program called Decrypt (Can be found several pages back somewhere, it where I go it from) that will unlock everything in the Game.rgssad file. This will give you ALL the pictures used in the game as well as some pictures not used yet...
It will also give you 2 sizes for almost all the pictures...
(I think this by itself accounts for about 80% of the file size.)
I have been working to single out the duplicate pictures and change the names to what you would see in the game...
IE: the illustration #, and who's picture it is.
As well as the card sets and everything else.
If wanted, when I finish, I can make that version available...

You can save them for the mirror of memories (basically the gallery) but I forgot how many are currently needed to unlock all scenes.
