This is literally true. There is nothing substantive in this “criticism”.

First off, respect yourself. You start a discussion then order me around and then reply with an arrogant tone that maybe you won't answer. If you don't want to answer something that you started. Second, the developer opened this thread looking for criticism in order to improve his game, many people said that AI cg is not for them so everyone merely replied to the game dev wish.

Third. don't assume people's feelings and thoughts. I personally don't like AI art because I find it soulless unattractive missing style and uniqueness. I never ever said that AI is easy to make, so stop assuming.

Now I'm done with this, I won't reply to your future comments as this is my point and don't see the need to express myself more.

I absolutely don’t care about your feelings, express them at home, in front of the mirror. Any bullsh&t in the spirit of "Ah! AI AGAIN" has nothing to do with any topic at all. You either write about the game, or your message is rejected according to the forum rules, and I recommend everyone to use the report button for something like this.

P.S. With games made with the help of AI, absolutely the same rules apply as with any others. Absolutely any. For every 10 frankly passable or abandoned ones, there are 2-3 very good ones. What with AI, what without them. Any opinion about a “development tool” should be expressed on forums dedicated to such software or AI.

I have done both video game design art school, and spent less than a month doing ai art creating works for fun to test out the systems....its in fact rolling your face on a keyboard .......its the easiest thing you will ever do in regards to art. its essentially coding for retarded kids....and yet the retarded kids still struggle to get out 10 coherent pictures a week on their patreon"updates". I am fine with the AI stuff if people are using it as a placeholder or are editing the images in photoshop or gimp later. but man if you release a full game in only AI art you are dumb...legally anyone could steal your game and you would be unable to sue them for selling it in multiple major countries because they don't allow copyrights on ai created works. the fact that most of these AI art games also use chat gpt to code them, and ai to write them makes it even dumber since if nothing major is your own copyright its not at all illegal in many places for anyone else to sell it. the fact that ai art is categorically bad and generally is indistinguishable from anyone elses AI art is kind of the problem that people have. if we used the same generator our art will look essentially the same.

The only AI game I find good is Starmaker, I played it, it didn't look like it was using AI at all.

All those hearts are pretty hilarious when, apparently, it only takes a single instance of another guy getting to fuck her* for this "oh-so-loving girlfriend" to start cheating on the MC with other dudes.

*) if that's even what happens. Going by description here and i guess "lending for a night" could also mean something far more naive/innocent, like "agreed for my friend to go to a party with my gf as his plus one".

to clarify many first world countries in fact almost all of the big ones don't consider ai art protected as you did not create it. almost no judges in the first world would actually side with an AI creator and its got legal precedent in a lot of those countries so you would almost immediately lose your case and end up paying for your opponents legal fees. generation is in a very clear sense theft of other art works....its like one of those dress up the girl games from newgrounds 20 years ago but where you frankenstein together the artwork of an almost endless number of people. now I mean this actual conversation is on topic as its criticism of the methods used to produce this game and others. saying AI art has no soul is kind of not that great because plenty of human made art also has no soul because it was made without the desire of the creator..ala corporate stuff that is bland and has no value even to the creator. I also agree on Starmaker looking at the artwork its clearly AI created its just able to mask it with pixelation because that style is underutilized.
