But if I'm not mistaken, the male MC was here from the start in Mythos.
I really don't think that is what slows down the game development.
It's just that Nine of Swords is a part time developer, works alone, and has lot of issues in IRL.
Yeah I can see the guy mc not being the sole reason for the slowdown. I do remember not having a guy mc in the first release and people asking for one.

you are wrong that game has always had a male mc, in the first posts they talk about it.
I am. I remember the long wait times from real life issues and mixed it with the long wait time for a game that added a guy mc.

Thanks for letting me know and my bad.

Yeah I think I remember what actually happened. There was a lesbian game that added a guy mc and then dropped the lesbian protagonist entirely. I don't know how I mixed them up.

You reminded me of Glamour, and while it wasn't exclusively lesbian, but went waaay off the rails when it introduced a male mc almost halfway through its development.

True, this was always the case for Mythos.. but i was surprised by the fact that the male MC has more explicit lewd scenes than the fem prot ?!

Also the male MC just looks strange imo (immersion and all that).

Unfortunately, in almost all games where you can choose the gender, the female protagonist is always a second fiddle, it makes me want to start ignoring them more and more.

I think iknow at least one exception - ToT. Its obviously was written with femmc in mind there was some funny typos when you selected male protag sometimes you still be referred as Elise (or some other default girl's name).

So what have been the best lesbian games from the past 3-4 years? The older ones i have mostly played, not that there were many quality options

Its a shame that this Genre still hasnt gotten much more popular on this site. Most female MC games still devote 90% of their scenes to straight Sex too

It's a hard question to answer to, considering there are plenty of subgenre.
Personally, I like yuri, or stories that focus on sweet (or not) romance.
A lot of games here are about femdom and BDSM (not most of them, but a lot nonetheless)
Some are what I would call LGBT game and focus more on the difficulties or pride of being in a same sex relationship.
And this is not exhaustive.
Without bad puns, there are more subgenres than there are colours in a rainbow, so qualifying some games as being the best will vary from people to people.

For me, for visual quality, Give me a sun and Actual roommates are nice.
For the story, bad memories, HealthSouth.
For yuri, I can't tell, I played way too many.
For the freedom of gameplay, degree of lewdity, I was a teenage exocolonist is nice too (it's SFW though and not 100% lesbian).

For me it's Actual roommates, Ariana's perverted diary and Mother lovers society. Also Dog days of summer

Actual roommates disappointed, unfortunately, the game turns to mush towards the end, and the choice that is needed for the harem is just ridiculous yes and half of the girls are unclear why there. Sinful Vampires has definitely got off to a good start as far as I'm concerned. Аnd Rise or Fall and Beach Glass are intriguing.

honestly, almost everything that comes out is always regrettable.

Unfortunately for me some games that I liked like lovers mother society ended up being a futa game, or they take too long to update like bad memmories.

for me the best thing that has been released lately is summer in the city, funny story, harem, good renders and constant updates.

ok, so i have been off experimenting with some of the Ai's I saw some of you talk about, and as a self proclaimed hobbyist writer. I will say I was against it, but then I remembered something I struggled with in my writing. Dialogue, I wanted to see if I could use it to help train me into writing more believable and good dialogue. I didn't expect to have it make anything good but it ended up getting away from me. It needs some cleaning up but meh. In short maybe Ai isn't so bad.
Frend as someone that wrangles with AI a lot, I will say AI is not there to teach you stuff. YOU are the one that teach the AI how to write 70% of the Time.
Because:
1) You need to tinker the AI to fits your instruction which is mostly Trial and Error until you get it right
2) The AI will still do something against what you tell them to do and you don't know how to fix it(I think it is because the AI sometimes confuse the "You" character with the AI itself) so you need to edit the AI Answer to do what you want.
3) You also need to fill what personality you want to give to the character you meet because letting AI make a character that didn''t have you meddling on it will make the AI give something that Character a Generic Answer.

Like for example here is a Good Character Info that I'm 100% certain wont be generic because it is so specifically crafted the AI have everything it need to roleplay as the character:

Example of Soni in Isekai Scenario as NPC:

God Bless Soni, The Best OC I made, this was from Chat GPT Website more specifically "Unbound Limitless Story Writer", Whomever train that AI is a genius but such a shame it cant do sex scene. Also don't question why my character have a sleepy MGE Lich that almost drown in Chocolate Syrup.

But yeah basically to make your scenario with AI interesting you need to make your MC also have personality. like if I want to use Soni as MC I always add "-Tell the story from the objective perspective of the Soni Vaphra, writing only what the Soni Vaphra can perceive." or if your AI aren't retarded "-Use 2nd person POV of Soni Vaphra (Refered as "You") for the story."
