You saying the mod author acts in character online? That's wild if true.

That being said, I don't mind waiting for the guide update because I'm nowhere near far enough in the game for the new content to matter much so Ill just wait to update to 47 til the guide mod updates XD - loving the game so far though !!

obviously I wasn't talking about mod author. The comment I quoted literally starts with "Selebus.".
are you acting like you have 2 brain cells for some ulterior motive or... never mind "XD" answers the question

There's a kinda meta theory about "Selebus being as much of a dick as he is" being a bit which I'm not entirely writing off, but if it is I haven't seen a reason for his character to have changed his mind on this.

Either way it does read like Walkerin's grasping for straws and its just not worth it.

Otoha's Taint the Sapling and Failsafe might need hint updates depending on how hard you want to wait for specifically an event to be missed due to choosing wrong.

Taint the Sapling probably wants you to share the photos. Both because if we assume green path means realistically seeing every bit of content in the game (outside of minor choices like brony), not sharing the photo means missing a photo for Otoha (Rin). We can see how she finds out about it, has a discussion about it which ends with a request for sharing nudes, and as of the latest update hasn't stopped Rin from trying to go at it like Silverback Gorillas.

And Failsafe's choice now results in a kinda anticlimactic Imani sex scene if it ends early due to refusing Tsukasa. Actually wait no there's a hard event missed now, the chat afterward between her and Chinami I'm pretty sure doesn't happen if Tsukasa isn't curious based on seeing that sex scene.

I do not understand why there are no hints in 0.47.0. Only one - Sana's event Piggy and The Boulder. It's also 1225 day. Maybe that's the case, or what? I also completed Nodoka, Tsuneo and Molly's events in 0.47.0, but there should be more of them of course. Like, how do I invite Sana if I do not have her phone and there should be an event for that? That's nonsense.

Maybe Sana sent you something that you can steal the number from.

I don't understand why Selebus doesn't want hints or guide mods. Would he really prefer people seriously have to waste time cycling through multiple repeated scenes / days just to fish for the right interaction to continue the story? It's hardly gameplay, it's not immersive, nothing is gained from wasted time "grinding" by clicking words until you happen to click the right ones on the right day.

It genuinely makes no sense at all, if anything, it actually takes away from the beauty of the story and art.

So thankful for this mod which makes this an actual bearable experience that respects the player/reader's time!

I kinda get why, it's the same reason for all those stop playing the game messages. If you play the game you're a bad person, so he's urging you to not do it. As you said, he likes his game so much he doesn't want you to consider it a simple game, but an experience, and by that same token, you don't really wanna experience all of that. Besides, it's Selebus. He probably resents that he needs to have players to keep making the game. This is one of those cases of enjoy the media and ignore the author as much as possible.

I enjoy the game, having followed it from the very start of things... but yeah. Even I need a guide to figure out what's going on with the thing as it's become so bloody convoluted to keep track of everything. I agree, enjoy the game, ignore the author.

I haven't followed much of what he says outside the game at all. I do sometimes wonder about the mind of someone who could make a game like this frankly lol

The subject matter is fucked but the writing is so good, the more you play, the less interested you get in H-scenes and the more interested you get in the underlying mystery of the world, at least that's my experience.

Is he a controversial figure in the community or something?

I guess I understand that he likes the game and wants to consider it an experience or "art" - which I agree it is - but I don't think the *experience* of clicking through repeat text prompts over and over until you land on the right one is a good "experience" and he must see that. The game would work much better if it were a bit more linear, with the only choices actual consequential ones.

From what I've understood of stuff shared by others, it's about what you'd expect without actually being a fucked up person.

You'd get better answers in the main thread for that question.

Oh, it's a misunderstanding. By experience I mean you playing to see what happens, not the playing itself. It kinda relates to the previous point, but it feels pretty much like he's actively working against his playerbase for stuff that isn't related to the story, while also complaining that he isn't making as much money as he should. Which, for the last thing, well, look at the subject matter of the game.
