She hopes for a walkthrough in real life, prefers 2d over 3d (obviously a lie she tells herself as a self defense mechanism) and her biggest fear is to grow up. She is very proactive when it comes to her own little world with her small group of friends that don't mind her quirks. And of course, she falls in love with the nearest person under the delusion that things will remain the same forever in that bubble (well ,i guess she got lucky there). Rin doesn't want lo live in a bubble, Molly would only suffocate her. Rin wants to evolve and Molly is terrified of change.
If nothing changes (except for Kumon mi circular flow of time), she has a sad future waiting for her. Her friends will grow up and move on and she will be left there, stuck in her little world she put so much work into building it as a refugee from reality, watching it all go crumbling down.
Could be wrong but I feel she's not attracted because of her personality rather than looks. Yeah, she prefers the "cool girls" like Chika and Otoha but also lusts after petite bodies like Sana's and Ami's.
Now, I'm done.
"She hopes for a walkthrough in real life, prefers 2d over 3d (obviously a lie she tells herself as a self defense mechanism) and her biggest fear is to grow up."
Isn't that like everyone? The prefers 2d over 3d part might even be true. She's only really showed to be attracted to Rin and probably Sensei. The rest of the time she's apparently jilling off to fictional characters. She's more 3d curious than anything.
"And of course, she falls in love with the nearest person under the delusion that things will remain the same forever in that bubble (well ,i guess she got lucky there). Rin doesn't want lo live in a bubble, Molly would only suffocate her. Rin wants to evolve and Molly is terrified of change."
Nearest person would probably be Tsuneyo, and I think Molly befriending her teacher, Noodle girl, and Yasu, shows Molly isn't exactly terrified of change. She just prefers stability, like everyone. Still, Molly literally left her home to go to Kumon-mi, as a foreigner. She's already chose to change her life in a drastic way. Not to mention, she went to Sensei about Rin cutting herself, got a job as a barista, became the president of a club at school, etc. She's now trying to change her relationship with Sensei by seducing him wearing wings. Ami is probably the girl most terrified of change, imo. Molly isn't actually stuck in a bubble.

I mean, I don't really see Tsuneyo going anywhere, or Ami, or Rin for that matter. They all work in Kumon-mi, have family there, and don't really have any plans outside of there. I see Molly leaving Kumon-mi before any of them. She could just go back home, or become a teacher, considering she's multilingual. Kind of like Imani. Molly is also able to make costumes and stuff, so being a fashion designer isn't exactly impossible for her. Not to mention, she can lead stuff like the Manga club and all of their campaigns. Molly isn't Nodoka or Touka who's set for her future, but she can work and is intelligent enough to function outside of where she was born.
I think you're exaggerating a little when it comes to Molly. She's not Yumi, who's damn near hopeless by herself. Stealing candy and scamming kids for cash, while also being taken care of by a teenager who is taking care of her sick kid sister simultaneously. Of course, Yumi always has the Yakuza to take care of her, considering she's more or less a crime princess.

Yeah, I agree with this. Rin tends to go for the opposite of herself and not even realize it. She didn't even realize her and Chika had virtually nothing in common, until year(s) later when Sensei pointed it out. Rin and Molly are too similar for Rin's current tastes, it seems. It's probably why Rin crushed on her other mother instead of Rika. Rika was too similar to her. Albeit, perhaps this is what influenced her later tastes.
