Why are you convinced Maya and Akira didn't meet before the accident? That would be the simplest explanation by far. As I wrote before, I think there's more hints that they did meet than evidence that they didn't. Here's one more hint that I forgot to include in that post:
June 2019, which is your date of registration.
Please don't take it the wrong way, but you seem to have missed (besides lot's of other people), that we had this "discussion" already, and it ended up very heated. (I know because i was involved , no bad blood though from pov)

The argue seems still alive though.
Lately, due to Sel's "Time Travel ™", sadly both might be true. Kinda thanks to our resident alleged goth girl's theory, where one reality might be created by another.
While i got to admit i am not a fan of that. I'd rather have it plain and simple.

Replaying the game makes me really miss the old Chika. Of course she wasn't perfect, but at the very least she had her heart at the right place and was actually sane.

oh god i hope the game doesnt go viral...
Why wouldn't you want it to go viral?
Not that it's very likely at all, but I'd imagine that the increased income would at least not hurt the development. Unless Selebus' already quite over-developed hubris would not be able to take it and he would somehow become either content and lazy or too over ambitious all of a sudden.

I mean, I get that we generally don't really like the guy, but I would still wish him success. I am after all enjoying his product, I would be a hypocrite to wish him anything bad in that regard.

i dont mean it to spite selebus. not all attention is good attention especially on twitter that place is so toxic. if it got mainstream i think people would try to get his subscribestar taken down or do some other bs because of the controversial themes of the game

Yeah, that tweet going viral weeks before Wizard content might be in the game was a bit shocking.

I personally don't think the game is really in danger of being cancelled by a mob from X, of all places.
  1. The only people really shocked by the content, at least so far, would probably be normies anyway, and I don't see normies finding their way to an adult visual novel. Besides, X is a cesspool of weirdos and people very far away from being normal - and I'm typing this on a porn game message board.
  2. The stuff isn't really all that bad so far anyway. In a world where loli hentai is mainstream in at least Japan, I don't see nieche stuff like this raising too many eyebrows.
  3. The platform (subscribestar) probably wouldn't care much. If anything, they probably already received some pushback on other projects I imagine, given the kind of other stuff they feature on there.
At the end of the day, anyone interested enough to look into the game deep enough to notice the problematic stuff would probably already have to be a gooner. And gooners typically don't want to raise attention to them gooning and would not care anyway.

The only thing that could realistically cause a problem to the development, in my opinion, is if somehow Selebus himself would receive some negative attention. There have been examples in the past where stuff like that can happen, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that he is actually a decent enough guy to not do anything stupid irl.

Maya started showing up to tutoring lessons way after Noriko. If she was with Akira before Sekai's death it would make no sense for her to show up later. In fact, given that she meets Akira after running away from home, it would mean she'd be living in the Arakawa family home, which wouldn't make sense either with her later moving to the tutoring place.

Edit: Your older post makes sense, but I'm not convinced by it. I mean, I'm not convinced by it without a supernatural interference that puts a Maya there. If that's the case then I'm onboard.

Basically I don't think having Maya in his life fits the Akira that was in a relationship with both Sekai and Niki. If that wasn't an 8 year old though, and instead was a conjured up narrator Maya, then I'm cool with it.
This can be solved by hypothesizing a few scenarios without involving anything supernatural:

1. I can assume that the nature of Maya visiting pre-accident and the nature of Maya encountering post-accident being different. For example, the playdate took place due to a normal visit between the families, then Maya showed up to Akira's tutoring castle a few years later due to her running away from her family.

2. Or, the first playdate was also a result of a runaway attempt; Arakawa family found her, let Ami keep her company for a little while without telling Ami what happened, before locating the Makinami family and sending Maya back.

3. [Be creative here]

I will acknowledge that I have zero proof to support anything above and all of it is essentially creative writing. But, I will say that the mysterious playdate girl being Maya is, for the time being, the "least unlikely" option. This is because, compared to Maya, the past of other main cast girls are a lot clearer, leaving considerably smaller wiggle room to insert any hypothesized scenario that can make sense of this playdate without clashing into preestablished knowledge about the said girls (Simply put, in my eye Maya as a candidate will survive the most rounds of process of elimination).

Like the case of Rin and Sana you brought up; there would be so many "but if this is true, what about that?" type of follow up questions that will plummet their chances of being the playdate girl. Besides, I didn't think being a potential bastard of Nozomu was a required element that facilitated the said playdate (I understand that you're trying to find candidates with at least one additional layer of connection to the Arakawas). Thus, even if Nodoka's past is less clear and more suspicious than the aforementioned two, her chance is as big as the thread's favorite Otoha: low.

Maya on the other hand, her past history is highly connected to Akira, and is almost entirely unclear or well certified, and Maya herself has been shown to conceals information constantly even in the present days. Combining those with how other main cast girls (plus their moms if applicable) interact with Ami and Sensei in the current time, no other main cast girl has a suspicion level nearly as high as Maya.

You'd notice that I also assume that the playdate girl will exclusively turn out to be one of the main cast girls. Breaking this assumption is very easy and realistic, but narratively makes little sense. Because of that, this playdate girl's relevance to Sensei and Ami will also have to be high enough if such under the radar reunion is true. Noriko might fit here under this lens, but I simply find dyeing a less than 7 year old girl's hair bizarre ever since her pink hair was proven to be natural (unless this in fact is a culturally common thing and I am massively unaware of it, or unless there in fact exists a possibly good enough reason for a preschool Noriko to dye her hair).

PS. I am not sure how valid the following can be, but I also assume that Sekai would know who this playdate girl is, and ghost Sekai has made comments on two prime candidates: Noriko and Nodoka. She doesn't seem to recognize neither (but yea asking a ghost mom to remember a girl from a playdate with your daughter well before she bit the dust might just be too much to ask)

1. True. I saw an X account of a Chinese girl born in 2006 who was selling herself. A reminder that she is legally 18.
2. Still, Sel is American, not Japanese. Western normies less tolerant to this stuff. And we'll be lucky (especially Sel) if the game won't get attention from activists or whatever they call themselves.
3. I dunno about that. But I'll trust you here.

Mmmm, this is evil, i will think that its a fan art (its 90% probably fan art, its not the first time you post something like this) and not an actual spoiler xd Being the preview guy and posting something like this after the other preview is like i said, evil xd.

I think that would be the biggest fear, either he gets so much money and support he decides to slowdown on development and reap the rewards, I don't know him or of him well enough to know if he would do that as it feels like this is game is his pride and he may stick to his schedule just to satisfy it. Or he gets so much that he feels he needs to now improve or change or make it "better" in someway with the extra income or do extra side stuff to compensate. Seen it happen quite a bit to adult game developers, like I had mentioned earlier about a Dev name Snatz who had a game he would update every 2-6 months, had good content and was consistent with the quality (Until the last update) who really blew up but got booted off patreon, went to subscribestar, remade his game, is getting a lot of money now and has been doing Koikatsu cards and pictures on the side and has only released like 2/3 of the prologue of the remake after 2 years of "working" on it.

I have yet another "interesting" item I noticed previously but have not seen anyone mention (did a search as well as go through several pages of posts after the update dropped).

In 35.0, best known as the "Death of Maya Prime" and "that fucking puzzle sucked" chapter, the opening event is Eggside Octopus. After the first black screen, with a patented pause starting it out, the dialog starts.

OK, I am used to some pretty pretentious dialog based on past events (always told by editors in my time playing reporter (granted, for a niche portion of what media folks would call the "playground" of newspapers) to use as few words as possible to tell the story properly - and we understand that is NOT happening, and has not been happening, in this story since Day 1).

While the story is over-written (big-time) it's still compelling (though an editor would come in handy lol). I also tend to over-write at times (like I am doing here) so take my (constructive) criticism for what it's worth!

But most of all of that previous pretentious dialog at least made SOME sense. This jibberish did not!

None of this makes logical sense just reading it as is, so there must be more to it, I thought.

And yes, there is! It's a (rather simple) "hidden" message to be gleaned but it most definitely foreshadows what was to come.

Figured someone would've mentioned it at some point - and apologies if someone already did - but nothing of value related to it appeared when searching the event name.

Have at it, code-breakers/lore lovers. ;)

You slow your roll and milk your audience when you run out of ideas. Sel has pretty excitedly talked about remaking (and finishing this time) Nothing is Beautiful after LiL is completed, and has teased a 3rd game set in the LiL paradigm, so he's got the ideas for stuff to do after this is done -- and since it's all interconnected, odds are good his audience will happily stick around for it.

What his audience has routinely demonstrated, however, is that slower updates will not fly. Every time he takes a break, he has to scramble to get his subs back to where they had been. So it's unlikely he'll fall into the milking trap.

That's been the impression I've gotten from the third hand accounts of people's interactions with Sel, but like the dev I talked about he had the same thing. Loved the game he was making, talked about it all the time, refused to hire any help cause he didn't trust anyone could do his vision right (Did that once and it screwed things for a while), made previews, pictures, animations, updates and info constantly being put out. He went over drive on the original and you could see how much he enjoyed it till the last update.

Then he wanted to do a remake, he said he needed the year to work on it so it could be put out faster, then 6 months into the year, and I think this is where the difference is, his most die hard yes men fans kept his pocket lined, after 1 year when he was suppose to release the prolouge, didn't and based on what people who were on his discord were saying before being removed cause they wanted to know what was going on with the update he changed, focused on his subs more, released trickling updates, barely any animations, bragged that he was making more then doctors in his country and seemed fine with only releasing so far 2/3s of the prolouge after 1 year in development and almost 1 year with him 'working on it' getting rid of anyone who questioned him or accused him of purposely taking his time to get as much money as he could.

The thing as well is this isn't a unique story, I've seen many devs who went big, made bank who were passionate and loved their game, cast it too the wayside when enough money was involved, and while there's a high chance Sel wouldn't do it, the chance isn't 100%

This is closer to what I'm betting on. Still need to complete a playthrough before I settle on things.
So what you guys are saying is that Ami is daughter mk.1 (the one made through oldschool normal reproduction with a human female);

but then in an alternate timeline we have Maya - daughter mk.2 (the one made through virgin birth without a human female, but instead through good old fishing a fallen god out of the wishing well);

and then we have in yet another timeline Himawari - daughter mk.3 (the one made through good oldschool normal reproduction with a human female but with a twist of skipping all her childhood and hopping back as a shapeshifting teenager from the future)?

Ami (red hair) - Maya - Himawari = the exact same person. So at the end of the day there's really only one narrator, and no ntr cause they're also the same person :ROFLMAO: so at worst it's masturbation.
